Morgan's Pier

Morgan's Pier great family atmosphere and good music. Bands, DJS, AND BINGO NIGHT. I notice alot of the bad reviews are from customers who either get kicked out for not following the rules or didn't get in for not having proper identification so that isn't fair for the company. My children and wife enjoy coming here and I advise you to as well. Come out and enjoy what Morgan's Pier has to offer...... Happy Holidays.... Ps. If you want nice views of the bridge and to hang out with friends with drinks, food, and good music, this is a good spot to pop by in Philly. My only recommendation is to level set with expectations, as the food isn't as hype as most food in Philly so it only serves to soak up the alcohol consumed in the joint. We came here for a fun girls' night to dance and hang out. Our server was friendly and came by to check on us often. My only caveat was that he should have learned his menu better, as I asked for size and taste recommendations and he seemed to have never tried the items on the menu. I opted for the shrimp cocktail which he said "came in a ring with a lot of shrimp" versus the fish tacos, for $18 over $15. The plate came out, the size of an appetizer plate, with 7 shrimp on it. I sent it back. He seemed upset. He should have known his stuff. The fish tacos were okay, with a much larger portion, but salty and too breaded with grease. Other food my crew got was okay, but the kind of food you could get from a stadium or theme park - fried and pre-frozen.The drinks were okay for the prices. The sangria was good, and not too sweet. The other drinks my girls got were the typical ones you'd pick up in a bar. We danced the night away until around midnight when the buffoonery took over the minds of everyone who was at the bar, so we bounced. This could be a fun place to come back to, if I eat beforehand and don't come with a lot of "Philly foodie or dining" expectations.

Came into the city to drop off a kid at a concert and wanted to visit here since it's the perfect night for outdoor drinks. Went to the nearest garage, paid 30, walked over to see they were charging a cover fee. I just wanted to a drink or two and chill but at this point couldn't justify paying 20 more... just to get drinks somewhere. I know some people wouldnt think it's a big deal but I was just annoyed there wasn't anything on their website about a cover for tonight. On a Wed. So killing time at an arcade instead... a bummer.

Our server barely checked on us and the drinks were weak. The location is cool to be on the water and they have fans and misters to keep you cool but it felt fratty and weird. Went during the day and people were dressed like it was a club. Bathrooms were gross and some of the regulars were sloppy drunk. Wouldn't go back.

Gorgeous views and great music! Can be a little humid on the dance floor but the views more than make up for it!

Went to Morgan's Pier to check out their Yappy Hour. Despite the cloudy day there was a decent group of people with their dogs starting at about 6. The place has a great view being on the pier and it feels natural with the wood and plants even though it's on the side of the city. We got the calamari and 2 of the yappy hour drink specials, the American Mutt and the Arnold Pawlmer. Both were good but the mutt was the better one. The calamari was a good texture and the breading was nicely seasoned. It was a nice evening after a Monday work day and we got to meet some nice pups.

A fun spot on the Delaware River to hang with friends, but gets extremely crowded (especially on weekends) and takes on a college/frat party vibe. They have a range of bar food that runs slightly on the pricier side. There are multiple bars in the venue so you'll have no issue getting a drink.

Awesome local bar right on the water. Beautiful view of the bridge and across the river to NJ. We went on a Sunday evening and it was packed. Service was quick and efficient. Plenty of beer selections. Decent food selection as well. I got a cheesesteak and it was tasty. My only complaint is if you open a tab at any of the three bars or with a server at a table, the tabs don't connect and are all separate.

Came on opening day and it was a perfect day! Service was amazing. Drinks were great, we have the frozen rotational (blue lemonade) and an old maid and a island drink all well mixed and delicious. Started with the pretzels and shrimp and decided to go for more, added oysters and pizza and was never disappointed. Music was great, and ambiance was something I definitely want to experience again.

The views and atmosphere are nice, but don't come for the food. And that delicious looking lobster roll isn't on the menu.
