Unassuming from outside: walk too fast and you'll miss it. Inside is nice with a very friendly and welcoming staff. Cash only.Chinatown is getting saturated with dessert options with the same options being offered everywhere. More sugar definitely stands out because they have a very unique menu: charcoal latte, cream boxes and their tofu/burnt durian cheesecakes are few examples. They should call it less sugar (I mean it as a compliment) because all the sweets and lattes are mildly sweet - which is my personal preference so I had thoroughly enjoyed everything here. Got the Charcoal latte (new favorite), Matcha Peach latte, Taro cream box, and Burnt Durian Cheesecake. Everything was delicious but my personal favorite was the burnt durian cheesecake: so unique and contrary to what may seem from the name not heavy at all! Taro cream box was scrumptious and tasted very authentic - not artificial at all and you can tell it is made from actual taro and not a mix/powder (so many do that now).

More Sugar was a pleasant surprise. I initially thought it was a cute drink/dessert shop but come to find out, it had some delicious food options. I love the squid ink pasta and my friend was all about the black cod. The staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable. Cash only but there is an ATM inside if needed.

Came here for lunch and ordered the pesto pasta. I was unsure about pesto and seafood, but it was delicious! Price is fair for portion size. It's cash only, but I liked that Venmo was offered. Will have to try the dessert next time

More Sugar is a different type of restaurant than what is usually out here in Chinatown. The dishes are American with a slight twist to make them more enjoyable. I ordered the creamy udon seafood pasta which came with shrimp, squid pieces and clams. The udon was cooked perfectly and the sauce was extremely creamy, rich and flavorful. I also ordered the strawberry latte which was lacking. It tasted like a latte with cherry cough syrup. The restaurant is spacious and clean. Service is friendly. Prices are on the more expensive side than at other restaurants in the area (~$16-20 entree). I recommend the entrees and desserts here! The drinks are ok but you could get better at other spots.

Went here on a Saturday evening and grabbed a table for 2 immediately. The interior is comfortable and modern -- a great space for catching up with others and grabbing a snack. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is pretty reasonably priced. This place stays open pretty late for your late-night cravings. Note it's cash/Venmo-only. Creme Brulee - Silky smooth, mildly sweet custard under a perfectly glass-like layer of crystalized sugar. A nicely done creme brulee. Durian Burnt Cheesecake - The texture of this cheesecake is perfect -- it is silky, less crumbly than a Junior's cheesecake, for comparison. The durian flavor is prominent, but not overpowering. The last time I had durian was years ago, and this brought back those memories. That said, this reminded me that I'm not the biggest fan of durian, but if you like it, you'll love this cake. Takoyaki - Nicely plated with fish flakes and a refreshing little salad underneath, these were very savory and delicious. Exterior had a great crunch, interior was creamy and flavorful. Great snack. These 3 items came out to $24 -- not bad. Value: 4/5Quality: 5/5Quantity: 4/5Service: 5/5Atmosphere: 5/5

Much better than I was expecting! Sounds like just a dessert place but they offer full meals and the presentation and flavor were a pleasant surprise. Definitely want to come back and try other things!

10/10 experience! We tried the cod roe seafood udon and the spicy kimchi spaghetti, you won't see anything like this in this area! The udon was creamy and bursting with flavors! The kimchi spaghetti was mild but tangy. At the end of our meal we also tried the tofu cheesecake and durian burnt cheesecake. The interior was cozy and welcoming with great lighting! The servers were very attentive and friendly! I assume the owner is young and has many creative ideas and isn't afraid to try different approaches towards food! This place is a must try!!

Came here for brunch on the weekend & it was surprisingly not busy -- it seems unassuming at first but deserves way more hype & credit for their great savory dishes! Servers were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Food also came out pretty quickly. The only thing to note is that it is cash only but there is an ATM inside. The creamy seafood udon was great & definitely my favorite bite -- they're generous with the shrimp, clams, and roe & it was the perfect amount of sauce. The pumpkin spaghetti was good, although I wish it had a stronger pumpkin flavor. The pumpkin flavor was light but definitely there -- it wasn't too sweet & the bacon was a great touch! The seasonal vegetables for mine were okra and bell peppers, which I was wasn't expecting but was pleasantly surprised by how great they tasted with the sauce. Both pastas were creamy but not too rich. The portion sizes are good, my group of two was able to easily finish all of it and be thoroughly satisfied.Overall, a super cute restaurant that I think is perfect for brunch and I'm looking forward to trying more dishes, especially the desserts next!

I came here with friends. It's a nice place. They have breakfast, brunch all day and a variety of entrees for dinner. There are also a variety of desserts, which are cool. The decor is modern looking. The food tastes okay and the service is friendly and attentive. It's currently cash only, but hopefully they will take cash in the future. I had calamari and takoyaki that were okay. The takoyaki could use more octopus. The octopus was tender though. Calamari had good seasoning but was a bit chewy and was overcooked. My avocado salad was really good. Such a big salad though and I would ask for dressing on the side if I were to order again. They have such a diverse menu so nothing was spectacular. Our food did take a while to come. The fries were cold, the buns on the burger were charred and overdone. The fish sandwich had too many things on it and could do without the sauce. Simple is better. The cod in the black cod dish is good. The seared tuna dish was also good. Overall, we thought the food was okay. I would come back again to try their desserts. Also the price is right here for the big portion. P.S. My friend said this like a western Hong Kong brunch place. And there is a niche for this.

Food is awesome. We love the noodle dishes, I had the seafood squid ink noodle and my sister had the creamy cod roe seafood noodle. Both dishes were great. Tofu cheesecake was also very delicious! Will come again soon!
