I have recently dined here for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast I ordered My Favorite Mix which was a meat (my choice ham) and scrambled egg combination that came with hash browns and two biscuits and gravy. It was a lot of food for about $7. This is a counter service restaurant and the food was ready in less than 10 minutes. It all tasted good and was very filling. I would order it again (3.5). For lunch, they offer a buffet line like Luby's with different meat and veggies offered each day. On my day, I first thought about the chicken pot pie but it looked rather dry sitting there in the pan so instead I asked for Mexican tilapia with 2 veggies for about $10.50. It also came with some cornbread. This meal was just ok (3) in taste. The black eye peas and cheese broccoli along with the fish were acceptable but not tasty enough to make me want to hurry back. The interior of this restaurant has a lot of decor including pictures of people ranging from Sinatra to KISS to John Wayne giving it a folksy feel. They also have their own private parking lot. This restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch and feeds primarily people who work in the area. i would come back but more for breakfast than lunch.

Probably the worst place I've ever eaten. I threw my food away after a couple bites.

There is no better breakfast than Mom's!!!!!! Do yourself a favor and check out this staple of northwest Houston. The French toast is made with love! The breakfast burrito is the size of my arm!!!

Perfect spot for a quick brunch / lunch. The food here is southern comfort home cooked style. Very friendly staff that made me want to visit again. Clean, bright, and sunny inside with a cabin style finish.

Was in need of breakfast to go & was in the area. Love the inside decor. Definitely old school/country diner feel to it. Service was great. I grabbed the Dad's breakfast sandwich. It was pretty good. Egg was a softer scramble which I prefer. Bread was nice & soft too. I wish the bacon was a little thicker, but it wasn't horrible. Will try to stop by when I'm in the area. Want to try a burger.

Cute establishment in a very industrial part of Houston meaning lunch crowd is its specialty. I stopped by from time to timeon a lunch break. Staff is nice, helpful, andif you like hearty meal this is the place for you.If you crave healthy or unusual lunch, this might be disappointing. On a positive noteI would say that bread is good and fresh every day at 11am. Whenever I feel likeeating fried steak with mashed potato this is the place. If there was more choices food wise, I would be a more frequent customer.

My husband has been craving a country breakfast and finally we decided to give Mom's a try, one morning we were passing through and we decided to stop. We walked in and definitely a country diner feel to it. I ordered a small breakfast and my husband ordered the country fried steak and eggs breakfast...he was hungry...one look and one bite he wasn't to impress with it... his country fried steak was to small round patties..(the frozen kind, he says) the rest of the breakfast was okay. Not quite a country breakfast my husband was looking for. Though...the relaxed atmosphere, and the good customer service made up for it.

Good service, good food. This basic fare is done we'll .is welcoming. The ambience country diner, with plenty of sketch. Ample parking my flexitarian friend loved the breakfast sandwich. Vegan hash browns and strong coffee., both good. A good choice with a steam table vibe your grandparents took you to.

The food was very bland, low quality, yet still expensive. I ordered one piece of catfish and some boiled carrots for $13.50. Catfish was edible. Cesar salad was $13.50 and took about 10 minutes to come out. The dressing was off and tasted like a vinegarette, croutons were small and stale, and the greens were a bit wilty. Ended up throwing it away. A couple of my friends ordered their Swedish meatballs that they took a couple bites of and stopped eating. I decided to try it myself and I see why they stopped. It was dry and bland. Fried okra I guess was decent according to my friend.
