Momma's at Sengelmann Hall

A very fun discovery! I got hungry while driving from Wimberley to Houston, and found this charming dance hall / bar / restaurant located less than five minutes away from Interstate-10.On Sunday they have a one-item menu -- called "The Sunday Plate". On this day that meant a plate holding two pieces of fried chicken, two small pork chops, a scoop of mashed potatoes, and a scoop of squash casserole.Yum yum. I Would like to return and test out the regular evening menu and live music.

Love the ambiance the food and the history. We love the chicken fried steak and schnitzel and catfish!!

Special, unique old building worth a trip! Gorgeous space and super nice staff who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Delicious fresh real food and generous portions. Good for kids and adults alike! Hope to come back someday, our visit was a highlight of our day!

Staff friendly needed a little more lighting but the history is amazing and food was wonderful!

Great appetizer little different than what bruschetta I'm used to but very good.Atmosphere great

Momma's is a historic building. Nice old time feel. My wife and I had burgers. They were perfectly prepared. The onion rings were fantastic.

Food is AMAZING. Service is always friendly and if you catch it on the right night you'll be treated to live music

We sat a long time before anyone came to check on us, in fact we were just about ready to leave when someone realized that we weren't being waited on. We ordered the Bierocks, and that was the best thing we had. Our waiter was a nice guy, but the service was very slow. I had the pork schnitzel, which was just okay. No one at our table of six thought it was very good and I would NOT go back. (it IS a very cool historical building)

Stopped at Momma's in Schulenburg while on a business trip.Even though short staffed they got us right in and took great care of us.Wife has a really good burger with fries, I had a salad. Burger was excellent, and enough fries for the both of us.For dessert we had a great cherry cobbler with ice cream - but just one, since it is a large portion. 5 thumbs up on dessert.Even with a large party with kids behind us, the noise level was fine - we were both concerned when they sat us. No problems, since it is a large building.So nice to see folks taking an older building and remodeling it for a modern use.

Loved the ambient and food. Staff were fantastic. A great day for us. Will definitely plan again and make a day out of it.
