MOFU Shoppe

Yum!!I highly recommend the buttermilk flounder bao buns and vegetarian rice noodles dish on their seasonal menu.We went Wednesday and I cannot stop thinking about it!

I ordered from MOFU a few nights ago via Uber Eats and was NOT disappointed. I am surprised I hadn't been there or tried it before, and I'm so glad I finally did!I can't speak about the atmosphere, hence getting it delivered. However, I can surely speak, and highly, of the food.All of the food was delivered hot and fresh. I got a few different things for my husband and I to try: Beef Bulgogi Dumplings, Shaved Beef Noodles, Pork Belly Bao Buns, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and a side of Steamed Tofu. Let's just say ALL of this was fresh, flavorful, quality ingredients, and delicious. The dumplings were so good; the beef was perfectly tender and seasoned. The beef also wasn't awkward, sometimes meat is sketchy within a dumpling and this was perfect. The Brussels Sprouts were served with "puffed" tofu, and pickled onions, with crème Fraiche and sweet chili sauce on the side; these were delicious! The noodles I got with chicken instead of beef and added my side of steamed tofu, the portion was perfect for two people. They were so yummy. Saving the best for last here; the Pork Belly Bao Buns! I'm pretty sure these were the best I've ever had, and I've had quite a few. Served crispy and smoky, and full of mouth-watering flavor. Do not skip these if you try this spot! I can't wait to order from the spot again or go check it out. I highly recommend it. Their food is delicious. This food made me talk to myself out loud and dance. That's how good it was.

I had heard really great things about MOFU Shoppe, so I was really excited to try it. It's in a fun spot in downtown Raleigh. I would say it's perfect for a work dinner or a date night. It's got a cool, industrial vibe. We got seated without a reservation, but I'd say there's a decent amount of tables in the downstairs area and in the upstairs loft. The service was great, and our server was really nice and helpful.The menu is small, with a few appetizers, entrees, and dumplings. They also sell cocktails, which were Asian inspired. We ordered the wings, noodles, and a rice dish. I will say that the portions were pretty sizeable. My complaint about MOFU is that the taste of the dishes were inconsistent. While we loved the wings, we felt that the noodle dish was not that tasty. It was mostly just paste and noodles. Overall, I'd say there are some standout dishes that we liked here, but unfortunately we had some that really let us down.

we were going to a show nearby and wanted a good place for dinner with friends so decided to try MOFU. It's an asian-fusion restaurant with small plates and mains - we each got a couple of different things to try. most were good, some were alright. we got the kimchi tots, the mofu seasonal salad, the pork belly, the wings, beef tartare, and the beef noodle soup. we also got drinks. standouts were the salad, the wings, and the pork belly. the tots were alright and the noodle soup was not good. drinks were good and the service was great

On a busy first Friday night in downtown Raleigh, we decided to have dinner at Mofu Shoppe! There was a 35-40 minute wait for a table for 2 (we didn't make a reservation), so we opted to sit at the last 2 seats at the bar! It took a little time for one of the awesome bar tenders to wait on us, but it's understandable for a super busy Friday night. It's a super cute vibe. There's even a little upstairs balcony looking seating area. I really liked the vibe here. The service was pretty good to top it off!My daughter had been here before and surprisingly it was my first time. Since she had decided to come here again, I let her order. She ordered us several shareable to share :)The Beef Bulgogi Dumplings were absolutely amazing. It came with an even more yummy kimchi bbq sauce for dipping. The Kimchi tots were amazing, such an amazing flavor profile. On to the Mofu Wings, they have a few flavors, we ordered the Thai Chili, soooo delicious. And lastly the Crispy Brussels w/ Fried Tofu. The Brussels were delicious. I was literally dancing in my seat the food was so good. If you know me, I hardly ever give 5's. I give glowing 4's, but 5's are rare. I'll be dreaming about this food until I go back next.

Decent Asian option downtown. The menu is what initially drew me in for the uniqueness of some dishes. The inside is really nice, decor isn't the cheesy "asian inspired" randomness, but more of a nice modern touch of Asia. Started off with the Mofu Wings with the nuoc mam sauce - the chicken was fried nicely but the nuoc mam was too sweet opposed to the anticipated prevalence of fish sauce flavor. Also ordered the Minced Pork Stir Fry with the canton noodles - reminded me of a Dan Dan inspired dish but the meat was different, in a good way. The only gripe was it was too salty. Overall, service was good and was fun to see they were hosted what looked like a dinner club or something while we were dining there. Would come back and try other dishes.

First off don't get confused by the name... this is a restaurant lol. Service was great-ask for Spencer. What a great server! Food was delicious. Tried all the dumplings except the "impossible" ones but appreciate having that option available. Stars of the show and must haves were the chicken satay so moist and tasty, Brussel sprouts were prob the best I've ever had, and dumplings were all so tasty. Runner ups worth mentioning but may not order again were the mofu chicken wings and crispy pork belly. Would not order again was the white pepper chicken. Dessert Vietnamese coffee mousse was interesting and not too sweet but def worth trying. I would definitely come back if I'm in Raleigh again

Everything was delicious! We ordered both version of dumplings and wife and I couldn't decide which one we liked more. Also ordered the pork belly bao buns and both agreed was one of the best we had. Pork belly was super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.The entrees were very good. Shaved beef noodles were tender and flavorful and wife loved her fried rice. Good amount of spice but not over powering.Definitely coming back here!

My business luncheon was a complete disappointment. I'll start by saying that our table was 1 of 3 in the entire restaurant. Our 2 cocktails arrived 1/3 of the way through our food. The chicken dumplings were tasty. So I ordered the pork dumplings next. The dumpling was very different from the first order. It was very thick, tough, & gummy. The filling lacked flavor & tasted like the refrigerator needs to be cleaned. I sent them back. They were replaced with bulgogi dumplings. They were bland and the dumpling equally thick and gummy. I love kimchi. I also had the kimchi tots. Sounded like an automatic win... Not even close. The kimchi lacked flavor. How can kimchi lack flavor??? I'm so confused. The server was polite, but very unattentive. The manager came over and picked a fight with me. The vibe? They are struggling to keep the doors open and my horrible dumplings were the tipping point of whether they would live to see another day. lol jpBut she definitely had a horrible attitude, aura, and came looking for a fight. It's so sad to see adults behave in this manner. Please learn appropriate methods of dealing with disappointed customers. Yelling at them isn't the way. Yelling is never the way. Don't. Just don't.

Always take people here when they're visiting from out of town and always order half the menu! We always order most of the dumplings (except the impossible and chive since that's just not our jam). Our favorite was the chicken skewers. Normally at other places I don't find this dish special but the chicken was perfectly cooked and the accompanying sauce paired excellently with it. And our server Spencer sat down and critiqued our photos!
