Tried a new ramen spot based on the local reviews. When we got there around 630 it was a packed house (good sign). Service was a little slow but understandable as there were 2 gentleman working the dining area and they were quite busy. We got seated and ordered some apps. Chicken karaage and the jalapeño bombs. Chicken karaage is a must have appetizer when I get Japanese food, as when done properly, it's so good. This chicken karaage was a huge disappointment; it was tiny little chunks of chicken that were spongy as if they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for hours; no crunch and rather chewy. The jalapeño bombs on the other hand were hot, fresh and quite tasty. Their spicy mayo has a little extra kick to it which is nice, as someone who appreciates some heat.After the apps were done we got our entrees ordered. I went with the Miyazaki ramen, extra spicy and added corn. The broth was flavorful and creamy, the egg was properly cooked and overall was pretty tasty; the ground pork has a bit of a rubbery texture which I wasn't crazy about but overall a decent ramen. Wife had a couple sushi rolls that looked good and she seemed to enjoy. My son had the chicken katsu ramen which also had a surprisingly tasty broth and crispy chicken katsu.Overall a decent meal, though I think my expectations may have been a little high. We may give it another try at some point.

So glad this place opened up again. Food is reasonably priced, tasty, and diluiré quick service. The new owners are inviting and friendly.Be sure to try a slushy... they're non-alcoholic.

Chef was super sweet visiting the table, he's from Long Beach! What a warm welcome from a fellow Californian! We chatted about favorite fish and cuts, and he shared he's also done house visits and special occasions! The fish was fresh and great quality, and great customer service from staff. Attentive and polite, and efficient. We'll be visiting again soon! (Pro tip: Order the fresh wasabi!)

I had to check it out after reading the numerous of positive reviews. Went in on a Friday night and was sat immediately. The place is on the smaller side but very intimate. The food presentation was wonderful and the service was great. It will be one of my new go to sushi spots. Conveniently located in a shopping center place. Edamame is also on the house!

The food here was soooo delicious! My boyfriend and I went here for date night it was so bomb. We got the spicy miso ramen, hot sake, jalapeño bomb, veggie spring rolls, California roll and the dragon roll I think (not too sure about the last one). Music was good and service was even better! Definitely will be going back

Delicious Japanese restaurant. Our party of eight we're able to find a good variety of dishes and eat meal tasted great. The staff was friendly and courteous very attentive to our needs. The food was great and delicious but like overall pretty good bang for back of quantity and quality, and it was very clean. I'd recommend going to this restaurant and I look forward to going back. My son and mom I've already gone back within one week of eating there for the first time.

Solid 4.5 stars. We received a menu in our mailbox (who says that kind of advertising doesn't work!) and were impressed with the variety offered. We placed a large order to go. All nine rolls we ordered were very good and very generous. We chose only the cooked ones, so I cannot speak to the sashimi. We also tried the chicken katsu ramen (generous, excellent take out container for it) which was pretty good-the flavor was ok, but the noodles were on point. The katsu was perfect and I do recommend the egg-perfectly soft. We had the Japanese fried chicken, which suffered from the foam take out container (it steamed) so I don't recommend it to go (unless the restaurant switches containers), but it was good otherwise. The only disappointing dish was the fried rice-it lacked flavor (and we all normally love it). Owner was nice and threw in some extras since we had such a big order (there were five of us eating :) was a lovely gesture. We will definitely return and try to dine in next time.
