Mississippi Boy Catfish & Ribs is an absolute gem! As the organizers of a student-athlete event at Colorado State University (CSU), we were on the hunt for a catering service that could deliver quality, Southern home-cooked food. And they definitely exceeded our expectations!Ty not only accommodated our budget but went above and beyond to ensure our event was a hit. Despite the last-minute arrangements, they accommodated us by delivering mouthwatering food that had our student-athletes coming back for seconds (and thirds!).From the moment we contacted them, Ty was a pleasure to work with. His professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction was obvious from the start. And the food was absolutely amazing! They brought a taste of the South right here to CSU, and it was a hit.Thanks to Mississippi Boy Catfish & Ribs, our event was not just successful, but unforgettable. People are even asking for us to do another event! They truly made our day, and we're already planning to have their services for future events. I ordered catfish and shrimp. The food was good and the portions were large. It reminded me a lot of Pappadeaux but half the price. The ambiance was nice as they had live music. Service was good and the owner and waitresses were all very friendly. They were out of some items that I wanted to try so I will be back in the future!

This is a disgusting mess...$80 for gumbo with rubbery shrimp and lil smokies... unbelievable!! Also the ribs are dry like beef jerky and have been boiled. I would NEVER return to this place....please do better or close the doors!!!!

Let me preface this by saying, "There is potential!" This post summarizes two experiences at the establishment; as a southern man from Arkansas, I was sold on the thought of what would be offered while carrying the namesake of a place known for great food and hospitality.On both occasions, when visiting the restaurant, I was met with unavailable standard menu items. On the first occasion, arriving promptly at the opening hour, no chicken was available. I ordered the catfish instead, and at $25, I only received (2) 3oz. Filets that tasted as if they were cooked prior and microwaved upon ordering, (1) a side of collard greens that were significantly smaller than advertised and tasted of pure vinegar with little to no turkey meat added. Additionally, the items were served in Tupperware, further alluding to items cooked significantly prior and reheated for service. On the second occasion, I arrived at 420pm and counted four other parties arriving after me that were served (menu & drinks) before I received acknowledgment from the staff or a menu. Once my order was ready to be taken, I ordered the smoked turkey leg. At 515pm, the owner, Ty, who initially took my order, stated that they were out of turkey legs and only prepared 16 for the day. Given the potential for demand, I could understand that, but it should not take ~30 minutes to relay from the kitchen to the patron of items not being available. It should be posted somewhere in the restaurant or mentioned by the server. Overall, I'm ashamed to admit, but honestly, I report to you all that the establishment is subpar. The lack of awareness from the staff, the inability to properly advertise or prep for patron volume, overall has made this an establishment that I will no longer support nor recommend.

I had ordered online for a pickup and when I got to the restaurant at 7:30pm it was closed and I've never gotten my $50 back!!

Firstly, the catfish is some of the best I've had anywhere... light, tender, and crispy. Other items are tasty, if not exceptional. It's the service that is the main issue, it's friendly, and the owner is wonderful, but it's slow and disorganized. I would come again for the fish, but knowingly, never in a rush.

We got Ribs and catfish combo + an order of pulled pork and it was delicious. Food came fast and hot and the staff was so sweet. Definitely recommend!

$63 bucks for some catfish nuggets and some of the grease soaked brisket and a 50-minute wait for the pleasure of standing around waiting while at the Outside festival.If misery loves company, I sure wasn't alone!

This little neighborhood restaurant is everything I could ask for. The catfish was cooked perfect and the service was great. The music and vibe of this place is relaxing and inviting. 10/10
