Unfortunately, I haven't had much luck in my search for good Asian cuisine, with the exception of a Thai place in Broomfield. Misaki's was no exception to the disappointing meals that I've had in this area. From the difficult to read restaurant signage to the mediocre food and odd atmosphere, my experience was worth 1.5 stars--I'll round it up since the miso soup was decent enough. I ordered one of the lunch specials, while my dining companions got the shrimp and vegetable tempura and the lunch bento box. We also tried their pork belly buns, which we could've passed on. I took one bite and had to force myself to just chew and swallow...my taste buds and stomach were not in agreement with that decision though. It was by far the worst pork belly bun I've ever had. The miso soup that came with my meal was good, but it could've used more flavor in my opinion. All I can say is that I'm glad I didn't get sick from the raw sushi--I'll be honest, I was confused why one of my salmon nigiri's was torched when it wasn't supposed to be, so that made me wonder if something was wrong with that piece. I even did a sniff test, so to say that I wasn't at least a tad bit suspicious would be a lie. My dining companions and I all agreed that we would never come back or recommend this place. As soon as we left, we ended up getting food at Costco after running some errands. If that doesn't tell you anything about the food here, I don't know what will. I honestly don't understand how some places get such good reviews when the food is mediocre or subpar. Disappointing.

After reading the reviews we decided to try this place and honestly, we were disappointed beyond words.Lunch was below average and we tried both hot and cold items. Fish was okay, but too thin a cut for sushi and the shrimp tempura was okay, but I wouldn't get it again. Hubby got the bento box but did not like the California roll as it didn't smell fresh and he hardly ate the remainder of the box and had to get a slice of pizza after lunch bc he was so hungry.Lunch prices averaged around $25 per person and we would not eat here again. I am starting to wonder about all of the Yelp reviews as we have struck out on the last 6 restaurants that we tried due to positive Yelp reviews.

They''re willing to do eztra miles for their customers too. Misaki Japanese restaurant is underrated and highly recommended. Not to mention, our server Lia was amazing and very attentive.

The food was exactly as expected; hot and fresh as it should be. The service also was fast and super friendly. The price is right for the right food and service. Dining hall was clean and well organized. A lot of people carry-out here (since the tables are mostly filled?) The food is good but it's a bit pricey. Overall, we may or may not come here again since it's pricey; and there are other Ramen options close by to this location.

Good sushi, arranged several rolls on a plate with flair resulting in taste and interesting presentation.Quality sake and beer options are available complimenting the dinner.Had also tonkutsu ramen but would not consider it main reason to visit again, meat was fairly hard and broth lacked flavor.Good service and overall worth your visit when in town for sushi.
