Miru Seafood

MiRu was a great intimate vibe for our dinner. It seemed everything from decor down to plating was intentional and done with care. The service was great and we even met the owner who was walking around visiting customers and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. Very sweet woman! The food was amazing for sure. I got the fried rice but the curry broth from my brother's dish was so good I asked for a side of it to have with my rice! Another note/ they have a gluten free menu that isn't the size of a notecard. My mom who has celiac was happy with how many options she had. My only nitpick is that I wish they had a dairy free dessert. Cant wait to be back!

If you're looking for a beautiful place to take your wife on date this place is it. Miru isn't only just beautiful..it serves delicious seafood dishes. Everything we ordered was fresh delectable and beautifully plated. The service was amazing and made sure that our meal was perfect. Can't want to go back!

MiRu Seafood was the perfect spot for a birthday dinner with friends. We made a reservation for 6 people to be on the safe side, but when we walked in, a reservation wasn't needed. There were only a few tables taken, which was surprising given how nice the ambiance is.Collectively as a group we tried a little bit of everything so I'll just hit the highlights for each.Calamari - light batter, very tasty spicy dipping sauce The Big Scallop - lobster butter garlic soy deliciousnessRock shrimp - crispy and covered in sweet and spicy mayoBrussel sprouts - so addicting we ordered 3 orders, must get Shell baked scallops - spicy aioli and mushrooms mixed inCrab cake - good size chunks of crab, lobster butter Fish n chips - BEST thing on the menu we tried. Super light batterWagyu short rib - ultra tender, melts in your mouth Hawaiian Swordfish - very meaty fish w/ their tasty lobster brown butter sauce Lobster pumpkin soup - interesting twist on the usual lobster bisque, very creamy Redfish - very meaty fish, topped with blue crabSeafood Noodles - rice noodles mixed with clam sauce Scottish Salmon - beautifully plated, shrimp and blue crab, good but the least favorite dish just bc the salmon was slightly overcooked/dryWe also tried a few cocktails with the jasmine old fashioned being the favorite. Coming from the owners of Michiru sushi, MiRu serves a lot of high quality seafood. The service was great, and their bar area is beautiful. I'm really hoping they add a happy hour in the future for discounted food/drinks. But overall, this place seriously needs more attention for how great their food is. I'm really hoping League City and the surrounding areas give them the support they deserve. Cheers!

Best Seafood Restaurant in this area hands down by a long shot! You must go! Service was incredible at the bar. Everything was on point. 10/10! Will be back.

I had no idea that this place was a Japanese-inspired restaurant until our server told us. I came here with some friends for a birthday dinner, and it's located in a stand-alone building. It's in a parking lot with plenty of parking.Inside the restaurant, it almost gives you an upscale vibe with the dim lights and how nice everything looks. Even the back-wall bar looks very elevated too. There is plenty of seating inside.What our table ordered:-calamari-rock shrimp-brussel sprouts-half shell baked scallops-seared scallops-Scottish salmon-rainbow trout-fish & chipsThe calamari and brussel sprouts were great appetizers. I loved how fresh the calamari was, and the furikake seasoning that it had. That made it really unique. It even came with a house-made sauce (very similar to spicy mayo, mixed with something else), that was really delicious. We originally had ordered only 1 order of the brussel sprouts, and then ended up adding 2 more extra orders of it for the table because of how much we enjoyed it.The seared scallops and half shell baked scallops were DELICIOUS. Highly highly highly recommend if you're a fan of scallops. The seared scallops had the most amazing flavor and texture. The half shell baked scallops was coated in a delicious sauce with mushrooms. I would get these dishes again.The fish and chips were actually one of our tables' favorites. The way the fish was battered was to perfection and the fish was full of flavor.I was hoping the salmon would be a bit jucier but after a few bites, it did feel a little dry to me. At least a little bit more dry than I would've liked. Overall, the flavor was good, but I would've preferred it to be a bit jucier.Our server was fantastic with refilling our waters, checking up on us, and giving us excellent recommendations. She was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu that we asked her about. I was pleased overall here. This is a great seafood spot in the area!

My reviews are sometimes harsh but honest. Miru seafood is very close to perfection but just a smidge short. I will say that the service was immaculate the drinks solid and prices worthy. My ONLY deductions were that my wife's redfish dish was over-salted and while they offer rice as a side, a soufflé cup amount with the "seafood pot" curry would have made this quite possibly the best curry I've ever (or probably will) eaten. Please consider including a small amount with this dish. Since a cannot give less than 5 stars without giving a four, Miru gets 5 stars. They did a great job. Looking forward to return and exploring the menu more!

We had an amazing dinner tonight! We were a party of 8 and everyone was happy with their meals! Drinks were so good. Guys had the old fashioneds and girls had blood orange martinis. They were delicious. We will be back!

What a beautiful new spot in League City! Wonderful food, attentive service, beautiful ambiance and fair prices for a fine dining yet casual experience! Highly recommend Miru and look forward to trying more items on the menu next time!Girls night was filled with a few apps and a few drinks! The Empress was light and delish and the prosecco was not over priced like most places... we tried the Lobster Cones and the Tuna chilly Chile (recommended by our server Ethan!) Both were fresh and flavorful and prices were great!We talked for 2 hours so we didn't get to eat much more but looking forward to the next visit!

Great seafood, perfectly cooked. The restaurant is cozy with lots of wood paneling. We were served by Taylor, who was very solicitous. For the appetizers, we had the mussels, octopus and the shrimp special. All were great, and portions on the last 2 were huge!For entrees we had the blackened tuna, seafood hot pot with red curry and the seafood pasta. The tuna was rare, just the way I like it and was nicely blackened. The red curry hot pot was amazing, with lots of seafood, a sweet red curry (not at all hot) and toasted bread to mop up all the curry. The seafood pasta had rice noodles (probably too many), and the same amount of mussels, clams, shrimp and white fish as in the hot pot. The place is on the expensive side, but well worth the expense. Only complaint is that it can get pretty loud in there if you're seated by the bar. Service was impeccable.

Fish & chips - did not like sweetness to batter, hated the tartar sauce, a bit too over cooked (extremely crispy batter)Spanish octopus- loved by all (and my husband is Spanish)Red shrimp $ chorizo with toast - ok. Thought shrimp was over cooked but my husband liked it.Lobster fried rice - like it. Chocolate espresso martini - yummy.As a whole, pretty good food but a little overpriced. Nice dining experience though.
