My family and I have been coming here for many many years. The quality came down right after the pandemic, and now I feel the quality went back up again (thankfully). The service here always has been stellar with super friendly servers. The quantity of food they give you is always plenty. I can easily just eat half, and other half home, but I always end up eating everything The place looks full most of the time, but the space is pretty large so they always have tables for us. Just a side note: during Villanova University's school year (especially weekends) this place is very busy.

Minella's is a classic main line diner, with really solid food at even better prices. To put it another way, this is the place to satisfy your breakfast cravings without breaking the bank on artisan challah french toast or anything too fancy. My favorite thing to order is the Tooz Eggs Benedict, which is a typical benny except with breakfast sausage links instead of Canadian bacon. Their sausages are savory and delicious, and the eggs they use are of good quality, as the yolks are nice and orange! We also like the main line special of bacon, eggs, sausage, and pancakes; the flank steak and eggs; and their French toast with strawberries. Some things on their menu are just ok, like the chocolate chip pancakes with the chips just in a pile on top and not mixed in. Other things I wouldn't order again, like the tuna melt- which seemed to have an entire can of oily tuna piled onto one side of an English muffin, and wasn't even hot enough to melt the cheese on top. These kinds of duds are more likely to happen when the menu is so big. It's fine just as long as you know what to order.Whenever we've come for breakfast or brunch, my boyfriend and I have been seated very promptly. The diner has a very large floor plan and room to seat big groups too. We've seen a lot of college students and their families, local groups of friends and couples, and bigger family brunches after church. It's a very comfortable and family friendly space for sure. All in all, despite some food on their menu that could be better, Minella's is a very solid and reliable diner.

Still the go to spot for Sunday brunch. It gets packed starting at 11 but the tables turn over quickly and the staff are friendly and efficient. We were very happy with our pastrami Reuben and turkey platters which came within 10 minutes of ordering even with the high traffic level during prime time on a Sunday.

Clean, efficient and good food. Exactly what you except of a Northeastern diner. Good omelet and great home fries. No gluten free toast.

08/04/24The place was packed with customers and a line was and down the door. Really great diner w/ a lot of options for food, drinks and dessert. I really liked that their menu was simple and not big or confusing and too many pictures. There were Greek food options and if there's one think abt the Greeks it's that they are clean and organized and know food. The food from 1-10 scale was a freakin 10. From the breakfast to the salads, to their hot sandwiches. Everything was picturesque, delectable, clean, amazing decor, family friendly and kid welcoming even if they're crying it's understandable. The manager was even seating and helping staff out and the staff was doing an amazing job to manage the busy Sunday morning traffic. Our server Amy was amazing and very hospitable and respectful and friendly and her quickness made everything very smooth and simple. We definitely will be back for more!

Solid diner food for sure. My bf and I came during a busy Saturday morning, and it was absolutely packed. But like in a good, hustle and bustle way. The waitress and cashier were robotic and quick; the food came out fairly fast as well. I ordered a regular egg/toast/meat/potato combo, my bf got the gyro omelet. Our meals filled us to the brim. Breakfast food is hard to mess up anyways. Not really sure why it's "famous" and "popular" around here, but hey, good breakfast is good breakfast.

We had a fantastic experience at this diner and it was recommended to us by a local. The waiter, Alex, was excellent; The menu is large and I couldn't decide want to order. Alex helped me narrow my choices by telling me what he likes and what was popular. I went with the spinach quiche and it was GREAT. I would recommend this place.

Stopped in to Minella's Diner on my way home to pick up a little something sweet. The dessert cases looked tempting - cakes, pastries, cookies. My server was very polite and helpful. I thanked him for his good American spirit.I chose 2 desserts totaling over $10. When it came time to pay, I was met with an older gentleman's mental voyeurism & name calling. I shoulda given him my name as Det. Olivia Benson.Let them eat cake! absolutely a waste of time. The small Lemon Cake w/ filling & creme seemed baked for 1 second. Really, really substantially messy & insulting. The eclair consisted of the same overload of custard with no baked hardness to the pastry shell. Their desserts may look heavenly but are prepared without expertise. The saving grace with this visit was the young man who seemed to know how to do his job.

Great service but not this time. Penny was extremely rude and bitter. Hope I never get put in her section ever again. Food was great as always tho.

Let's start with the food. Two eggs with French toast and bacon was my order. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and they seemed to be good quality (bright golden yellow yokes). The French toast was pretty good. Thick cuts were light and fluffy, and had good taste. And the side of bacon was crispy just how I like it. Not undercooked or burnt. Service is next... seated quickly and the service was appropriate. Kind and responsive. Food came out quick and hot. Ambiance was pleasant. The mirrored wall with the etched Philly skyline was a nice local touch. Just felt like a traditional diner. Also, very clean. Floor and tables were clean surfaces. Not one complaint about this place. It's a staple local diner and I will be back for sure.
