"Quick reviewDoing a show at the Genessee Theatre, and this is where they had us order our craft service. A nice diversion from the usual "muska-cholly" and cold chicken, or sports-bar burgers most theatres give us.Fine Beef Kofta Kabab and Rice. I dig a Mediterranean feed."
"Met some friends for Bloody Mary's on a Saturday morning around 10:30AM. We were quickly seated without a reservation, but make sure to get there early, the place was full by 11AM! The room we were seated in did get quite loud with a large party seated next to us so plan accordingly. Everyone enjoyed their bloodies and our server was friendly. I opted for an NA Bloody Mary and lived that it came with a root beer chaser. Our server was friendly and gave us stickers and cookies upon leaving which was a nice touch!"
"Really cute restaurant, tiny tiny parking lot so plan accordingly. Also, this place is an INSTITUTION (locals and tourists come all the time), so plan accordingly.Lots of delicious food options, definitely friendly to those who are GF or Veg or vegan. Double check how hungry you are, because that milkshake is so worth it, but you'll probably be taking the rest of your food to go! Service was great and I'll definitely have to check it out again!"
"The food was good, service was good but not the most extensive menu I've seen. They have a fairly large dining room especially with the upstairs being operable. The have a really good wait list system that keeps you informed about the length of your wait"
"Famous for its garbage plate, and being in Kenosha downtown for almost 100 years (opened back in 1926), Frank's Diner is definitely a great place and a home place for a lot of people. As someone who moved just to Kenosha last year, we have been trying to get in for a long time. The space is small, I mean very small, it is an old food truck/railcar kinda style, there are bar area and booth area. Expect a wait if you come on weekends. (As the sign in the diner says, the inner deco was legit haha)We came in Tuesday around noon and were able to sit right away at the bar, right opposite the stove and grill lol. It was quite a show watching the cook cook while we wait for our food, and I loved seeing it. Just a very local and family feeling. We had great food! The specials (Irish sausage and gravy, corned beef omelette) were tasty and the meat omelette was next level. The pancake is huge, and delicious for sure. The food is also priced well!Overall, nice experience, and we will come back again and hopefully also no wait next time!"
"Pretty damn delicious... but we didn't know how things worked and no one told us. So even though our duck BLT was the bee's knees, -1 star for not alerting us when our food was ready which resulted in it being way colder than we would've liked. So there... still very special BLT..."
"I've stopped here on a couple of occasions and had really positive experiences every time. As you enter it definitely has pub/bar vibes. I would say the food is elevated pub fare. In short, it's delicious. It's a great midway spot to stop if you're traveling from Milwaukee to Chicago or vice versa. Their cocktails are decent and well made. Not amazing mixology or anything, but solid well made cocktails. I recently ordered the mediterranean quinoa salad, which was a fresh, tasty delight. I'm also a huge fan of their greek fries which come smothered in a thick tzatziki (definitely richer texture than most spots), sprinkled with feta, green onions, and kalamata olives. The fries are waffle, which hold up well to the abundant toppings. I would have a hard time not ordering this every time (at least for the table if not for my own meal). The service is fast and friendly. Get to it!"
"I can't believe I never reviewed this place. I've been coming here a couple of times a year for over 20 years! It's been great watching the business grow and expand the facilities and offerings. They make amazing "bar food," and it's only bar food because it's a bar, when in reality, I think the food here is better than a LOT of restaurants around town, and therefore, has some of the best, if not the best bar food around SE WI. While they have grown, COVID has also caused a shift in focus, away from food trucks and off-site catering, to serving their customers on-site with the best experience they can. That includes live music on the patio and a "big back yard" with a MASSIVE screen for watching games. Burgers and thin crust pizzas are great, but on my most recent visit, I had my mind blown by a Short Rib Pot Roast dish I had two nights ago. Instead of a typical bowl of "stew," this was a plate of incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned beef short rib, with potatoes and onions and just enough roux to wet the ingredients while still allowing the short rib to rightfully be the star! It came with my choice of side, and I opted for the mashed potatoes, which had a few pieces of potato skin to announce that they were made in house and not from a box. My friend loved the French Onion Burger she ordered, and now I have to go back soon to get one, and we shared a Creme Brulee Cheesecake slice that was great without needing whipped cream or sauce to make it great.I've attended events here, such as bourbon tastings and bottle releases, and I've watched their selection of bourbons grow exponentially in just a year. Clearly, they want to be known as a "Bourbon Bar," in addition to having great food. I think they succeeded.I live close to downtown MKE, so it's rare for me to venture to the burbs, but Matty's is on the very short list of places I'm willing to break my routine for."
"I came here for lunch and it exceeded my expectations. The prices are fair, get menu variety, awesome atmosphere, fantastic music and wait staff was all so attentive and took great care of me. The food was very good portion sizes and tasted amazing. Thank you, Elizabeth & Andrew, for the wonderful experience! I highly recommend The Wicked Hop!"
"I just met the owner of the Packing House.I had reviewed my perch fish fry and reported it wasn't up to snuff. Within minutes there was a tap on my shoulder.Did you know that Chris kept the doors open during the pandemic and never laid anyone off? That he is passionately committed to carrying on his parents' legacy for 31 years? Folks, our local restaurants need our support more than ever. It's a really tough business - hiring talent, increased costs, competition- give them some love. Please book your reservations for a memorable meal at the Packing House now. The holidays are here and it's the perfect place for a special meal.Chris - keep the faith and your door open."
"If there's a pizza I remember most in Milwaukee other than Ian's it's this one! That peppadew peppers and sausage pizza topped with hot honey was hot of this world incredible and I love the ability to pick your own fresh toppings and know the quality will be there. It might take some time for pizza to be made or waiting for a table at times but it is worth it for the price too! Great value and service and nice bar restaurant feel with sports games on. Must go!"
"Pricey dinner options but very delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the night views. Can recommend for a nice meal."

"Another 3 star experience. Bar area outside was full so we sat at a table on the patio and only ordered Bloody Mary's. Their Bloody Mary was solid and the patio was nice. Server was sweet but drinks took a very long time to come out."
"A casual cafe with delicious brunch options. You order and pay with your phone and the rest is self service. I ordered the Hot Mess which was very tasty and filling with the hollandaise sauce. I had a bite of the vegan breakfast sandwich which was also delicious. Very vegan friendly. Would definitely return for a causal brunch."
"Modern white and black decor. Clean and classy. Comfortable booths, bar and tables. Spot on service without being too stuffy or formal. We enjoyed a delicious, quality prime rib sandwich, DeJonges fresh shrimp and Mediterranean fresh shrimp. Tasty, quality proteins for each entree. Each entree is served with fresh homemade coleslaw and a diner's choice of side. Our sides were steamed broccoli, Double baked potato and house steak fries. Carson's is a consistent great lunch or dinner choice for any downtown activity."
"Cheese curds are good. Service is good. Vibes ate great, very chill and have great specials. Music is great. Would recommend staying in this area if you want to bar hop and eat."
"If you are ever in the area to stop by the wonderful find. Please do so and enjoy the Bloody Marys. The spicy pickle ones are the way to go. It's always a must stop when I'm in Wisconsin. The bartender who has been here for years will provide great service and the staff will take care of you. If you wanna sit at a table and enjoy a meal , sit outside along the water."
"We just happened to stop by this fabulous restaurant. It had a lovely outside patio, friendly staff and excellent food. If you're in the area make sure you stop and visit."
"On a summer day approaching fall, we had a lunch in O'Toole's enclosed patio. The menu is creative, taking the pub approach but with upscale tasting ambition.I had the burger with blue cheese and bacon. The toasted bread was better than the typical bun, the coleslaw was prepped creatively. But a burger? Yes, but on advice of the server, putting in a medium rare request brought a burger with the perfect pink.My companion had a pimento grilled cheese - again, carefully prepared, creative. She remarked at how good the simple fries were."
"My group of friends and I came in on a Thursday night and were immediately seated. We opted to share the cheese curds, pretzel bites, and a margarita pizza - all of which were delicious. Service was fine - straightforward and quick. And the ambiance was fine as well - not too loud or too crowded. If you are looking for a quick, reliable bite to eat, this is definitely a good option!"
"You go here for the Swiss fondue which was excellent! Plenty of bread and vegetables for dipping and reasonable price as well. Also, the wedge salad was good and you have your choice of a few house made dressings and I would recommend the ranch..very tasty. All New Glarus beers on draft so if you like the from this brewery, you will be pleasantly surprised. FYI, Staghorn Oktoberfest is now on draft which can be hard to find. Enjoy!"
"The Green Room has been a favorite of my family and I for years! It's always delicious when we go. The food and drinks are amazing! We love the bang bang shrimp (they are gluten free too!), the mussels, the fish with the butter sauce (it's usually a special), and the general tso chicken. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal here! It used to be a Chinese restaurant so hence the Chinese inspired dishes. It gets packed around 7pm so be sure to make a reservation. Although small, the ambiance is really cozy and upbeat. The service is also great. We will keep coming to The Green Room for years to come! We very loyal!!"

Papa Marcos is definitely the place to keep coming back to! Everyone here is very welcoming and nice; they make you feel right at home! Best of all, their food is good! Great people and good food! What more can you ask for? The restaurant is very clean and they have a good amount of parking space. I've been to a couple of Mediterranean restaurants before and this place is undoubtedly one of the best!

Another great meal at Monty's! Had everything to share - breakfast burrito, fat elvis vegan french toast, greek omelet, and chicken and biscuit. I was a big fan of the chicken and biscuit - yummy maple glaze covering the crispy fried chicken and warm buttermilk biscuit. The garlic butter broccoli was refreshing and a creamy mashed potato with it as well. The burrito was hot to the bite with full flavor in each. These potato's never miss! Perfectly spiced and crisped. The fat elvis was drool worthy with melty peanut butter and chocolate chips. Also had a delectable slice of German chocolate cake -- for a $6 slice you are getting the bang for your buck. The cake was literally falling out of the dish, and perfectly textured with the coconut pecan chocolate combo.Portions are all so huge!

When we arrived, the hostess took a minute to acknowledge us which is okay. Once we got sat, our waiter came and took our beverage orders, seemed very attentive but like slightly scared for some reason? He gave good service the whole time though. Once we all had a chance to look at the menu we ordered the fries as an appetizer. They were quite good but came out lukewarm. Also, after a bit the waiter offered to get us plates for our appetizer but those never came. A while later, we ordered our meals, all getting varieties of french toast. While we waited, we noticed that *all* the staff looked scared for some reason? Not just our waiter. They all looked as if they were just scolded to do better before people started showing up. Barely even acknowledging other staff as they went by each other. It took a long while for the food to show up and when it did it ranged from lukewarm to cold. Which was kind of disappointing as the flavor was good. Wonder what it would've been like hot. We think that's due to the fact we were on the second floor...so the trip from the kitchen downstairs up the stairs to us, probably contributes to the cold food. Additionally what was weird is a table who arrived around the time we ordered our food, with the same waiter, was sat, orders taken, food delivered, and bill paid before we were given our bill or finished our food. The atmosphere was cool, bicycles hanging from the ceiling with plants and flowers in their spokes. They also have their christmas decor up already which is neat. Although, when busy it's quite loud and echoey which was a bit overwhelming.Overall not bad experience but, for the price....definitely still not a first choice stop for me.

Best service food and menu! Tequila shots! Don't miss out on this place! Chatting with cooks, learning how to read "btw the door says slide"! Absolutely can't beat this experience. Not your typically place and that's what makes it perfect! Stop by laugh and eat!

This pub makes all their own brats and sausages in-house, which makes for some truly excellent dogs! The fries are absolutely delicious and the poutine quite yummy. An excellent lunch spot!

This is a fun stop when we are in the Kenosha area! We stopped for lunch mid afternoon. We started with 2 appetizers, wings, and cheese curds. Both were very tasty. Our server was extremely attentive, refilling drinks as needed and checking our progress regularly. The pub has some very neat decor throughout. Our entrees were all good, with generous portions. We all needed takeout boxes! (Except my nephew, who ate the whole wing appetizer and the full slab of ribs with fries!) It's a nice relaxed place for a good old fashioned comfort food stop.

tl;dr MaryLee made the whole gosh darn visit!I have never been here before, as it's a little bit out of the way from my normal Bayview/Saint Francis type location close to home. However, my best friend in the entire world lives in Waukesha so this general area is a great middle spot. I was searching (of course on Yelp) to find a great spot and saw the large volume of reviews for Matty's, so decided to give it a shot!Matty's was already hoppin' when we got there on a Wednesday night. It's freezing right now (January) but I hear that they do some amazing live music and have a great outdoor patio when the weather is nice. I had reserved a table, so got immediately seated and was met by the sweet-talking, smart-selling, amazing waitress that is MaryLee. She was funny, bubbly, kind and made sure we had EVERYTHING we needed. She enticed us for the on tap bourbon old fashioned (we were a little skeptical, but she steered us right as the on tap was surprisingly good!) We almost got the mozzarella logs, but instead started off with their homemade chips and grandma's onion dip. Holy cow was it good. Dangerously good. The chips were fresh and super crispy/crunchy and anyone who likes any kind of chip dip is going to have a home run with "grannys".MaryLee explained how they're famously known for their burgers and pizzas, so we decided on the Meatlovers thin crust. I am VERY particular about my thin crust pizza. To be honest, there is really only one thin crust pizza I tout and recommend to everyone (Vinchi's) however, I can confidently say after my time at Matty's - I have another name and contender to throw in the mix for "BEST THIN CRUST PIZZA AROUND."it had the perfect ratio of sauce, the crust was just as crispy as you'd want it to be without toying on the edge of burnt and the toppings WERE BANGING.MaryLee checked in on constantly to make sure everything was tasting great and got us our takeout container for our delicious (and held up surprisingly well next day) leftovers. She is a stellar employee and clearly reps this place well. She alone would make me return, but luckily Matty's food and drinks are pretty damn good, too.Even though it's a bit of a drive for me, we will be back!

"Get the Mahi Mahi fish tacos! There are 3 monster size ones and Add the avocado! WOW were they good... and extra messy. Be sure to get more napkins. Big Dave had the lunch special with chicken salad and fruit... and then finished up the tacos! Out door seating was great even on a warm day since they had fans running to add a breeze. Service was prompt, friendly and accurate. We'll come back and would recommend."
"Been coming for many years when I'm in town. Tonight it wasn't the same. Burger lacked butter even though they had a ton of it on the counter."
"The Knick is one of the coolest brunch locations I have tried in Milwaukee yet! I got the chance to check out the hotel as well and I was blown away by the interior. Gold chandeliers, beautiful paintings and a white marble lobby. So cool and even better with a restaurant like the Knick attached to it! Being close to the lake and Juneau park is a huge plus but the inside was awesome too! Cute St. Patrick's Day decorations and a beautiful bar sat right in the corner with a ton of indoor patio area to dine in! I got the crab cake Benedict and it was honestly the best decision I've ever made. The chipotle hollandaise sauce was so tangy and had a kick. The egg was perfectly runny and the crab cake was tender and had a nice crunch of celery and onions- wow. The breakfast potatoes were a hit too and I think it's pretty hard to have perfectly crispy and soft potatoes and they nailed it. Would definitely get this again! I also had the mint lemonade and when I say this was the most refreshing drink ever- it was! The polish sausage and eggs and the French toast looked amazing too! Our server was also so amazing! She made the experience that much better. Always keeping our waters filled, bringing our food on time and routinely checking in on us with a huge smile on her face. So great to see. Loved the Knick and will be back!"
"What a fantastic night to go out and try Bonfyre. Loved the decorations and the centering of the bar in this establishment, it was very lively. Overall, great experience, good food, and excellent customer service. We arrived during happy hour and ordered the zucchini fries. It arrived a little after our drinks and it totally hit the spot. The sauce has tangy and delicious. Our drinks were the mango martini and the Bonfyre Old Fashioned. Two very delicious drinks that are not watered down. We both shared a tomahawk steak with a side of asparagus and a twice baked potato that was delicious. We ordered a medium rare steak and the only reason I am giving this a 4/5 is because our steak wasn't medium rare all the way through. Some areas were rare. Besides this, the steak was delicious. We will both be coming back here again :)"
"Great breakfast foods and the berry yogurt with honey is outstanding. The service is excellent and could not be more friendly! The atmosphere is so Libertyville - charming plus."
"Not sure the point of ordering ahead on the app if you're going to sit and wait over 20 minutes after the time the app stated. And then we got cheddar poppers instead of cream cheese ones. It took car hop almost 10 minutes to even come to our car. And now I remember why we hardly go!!"
"This was my third visit to Stella and honestly it's about time I leave a review, because everything here is great and I keep on coming back. The food is always great and so is the service. This most recent visit our server was a sweet woman named Anjail. She had a great attitude and an infectious smile, and she made great recommendations for us as well. The dining room is always clean and well lit, offering an intimate feeling without also feeling cramped at all. We will be back!!"
"Overall GREAT spot! Paninis were YUMMY!! I would say the prices were a bit on the higher side, but it's totally worth it. First time we visited & most definitely coming back again. They have games & staff was SUPER FRIENDLY :)"
"We really enjoyed Black Pig. We had a caesar salad & the house fries to start, as well as a Cherry Stout and their Oat Fashioned on tap. My wife enjoyed the fish (halibut, we think) special, and I had the Iberian Pork Pluma, which turned out to be super tender with two delicious sauces incorporated. We also had a dessert but I don't remember the details other than that it was good. Portions were generous (we got another meal out of the entrees). Didn't take any food photos this time, sorry!"
"Great food and a great venue. Get the Walleye on fish fry Friday! We often get there a bit after the rush and the small bar area is a cozy spot."
"Pizza at Wilderness Resort is disgusting. Delivered large green owl supreme from here was fantastic- fresh veggies on top, quality mozz, delivered warm. The crust and style is almost medium by density. It is definitively not NY style pizza as advertised and i wouldn't really call it thin either. No biggie. But the Mediterranean salad WAS AWESOME. Really as good or better quality than what you'd get in Madison. Surrounded by the junk at the resort, this was a welcome respite, loved the pitted olives and feta especially. They provided plates and cutlery as well. Before tip i thjnk it was 35 and took about that long to deliver as well. Thanks!"
"Fun place to hang with your coworkers friends or family. Good beer selection and the food was yummy"
"We came with no reservation on a saturday night but i think it was a blessing since we ended up sitting at the bar. Norm, the bartender was amazing. He is very attentive. We are not from the area and it is our first time dining here. Food and service was excellent, definitely recommending this to anyone. I would say sit in the bar!"
