Mike & Matt's Italian Market

Great corner deli, super nice people inside. The hoagies were fresh, tasty, and very reasonably priced. I was surprised to walk in at noon and be the only person there! I'm used to delis this good being backed up with lines out the door at lunchtime. Of course a handful of people wandered in after me. They also have a few coolers full of drinks, fresh-frozen Italian pastas from the great names you'd expect, and a good selection of chips and some antipasto type sides. They also have a few grocery aisles to service the community. Go check them out!

One of the best hoagies I've had in Philly! Lots of meat, very fresh LTO, amazing homemade hot peppers, and sarcones bread. The guys behind the counter were extremely friendly. I will definitely be returning even though it's a bit out of my way. Excited to try the Italian.

Great prices on seasonal produce. You'll pay much less for a ripe tomato or asparagus than you would at acme. Selection is pretty limited though, and you can't do your full grocery shopping here. Their fresh pasta (local brands) are priced WAAAAYYY below acme though. You can buy some top tier pasta for a steal here. Sandwiches are good although I haven't had many. Service and friendly attitude is an A+ though. I once left abruptly with my tantruming kid and they chased me down the block to give me the tomato and garlic I forgot. Let that sink in: they chased me down the block in the dead of winter because I forgot $1.69 worth of produce. That's pretty damn friendly. The dipshit teenager at acme wouldn't chase me down even if I forgot the kid at the store.

The best neighborhood deli with great sandwiches. I mean they even freshly slice the lettuce, tomato, and onions on the slicer. Freshest rolls and deli meats! Highly recommend- Mike and Matt are the friendliest 2 who always remember us and know all the neighbors by name!

Great old school neighborhood store. It's right around the corner from where I live. They prepare everything just the way my family likes it and anyone who knows Mamma Bruno, knows that she is a VERY picky Italian. She gets a craving for their Olive mix and their Chicken Cutlets are fantastic. (Must order ahead of time). They know everyone by name & remember what you like and don't like. Just remember, if you need something fresh like bread, you'll need to get there earlier, because they do run out towards the end of the day. So glad they've been able to stay in business. So make sure you stop in to check them out so we can keep them around!

My partner and I heard about Mike and Matt's about a month ago and have gotten hoagies 4 times since then. The meat to mayo/oil ratio is PERFECTION. Can't rave enough about this place :)

Italian Hoagie was fine, if you like boiled ham. He doesn't use any cured, dry salami or cappicola, it was provolone and ham with maybe a slice of salami.

I live in South Florida and I had to attend a funeral in Philly. I called one of my dear friends and she told me to call Matt a this deli. OMG what a wonderful experience. They knew exactly who I was ( as my friend had called them) and they treated me like family. He helped me put my order together, he made suggestions and he followed up with me 3 times. The food was the best. In my time of sorrow they made everything so easy for me. Once again thank you to Maria and Mike & Matt for such a great experience. I never even asked him how much it cost because it was so worth it. Love this Market! First ClassP.S. He is even going to send grated cheese to me in Florida.
