Got the Boss Hogg special. You get the best of All Worlds in this combo. A Coney, Philly Egg-roll, Wings, and Fries. Plus a drink! I chose the Hot Honey Lemon Pepper wings and they were delicious. Next time, it's wings and egg-rolls for me. The Philly Egg-roll with the dipping sauce was fire! Fries looked to be definitely fresh cut, which means even if soggy from delivery....they'll still be good. The Coney was alright. Almost reminds me of the James Coney Island places in Houston.

Whatever you think, whatever you've read, whatever you've been told, the hype is real. Staff was so friendly, and the food? If you love yourself, bring yourself here before even thinking of sharing this hidden gem. It's such a chill, casual spot as well.The Boss Hogg is definitely the way to go! The mango habanero wings were crispy and so juicy, the perfect level of sweet and spice. I have to confess to eating those fries like they were about to be a tax write-off, and don't even get me started on the cheesesteak egg roll. No matter how old I get, a chili cheese hotdog will always be delicious and this is one for the top of the list. Be prepared to have a nice nap afterwards because the Itis will find you quickly but kindly.

It's probably my favourite hot dog truck in the whole country, and sells some of the best hot dogs outside Chicago that you'll ever eat.The owner is energetic and passionate, and I love the location where the actual truck is, at Chimney Rock Food Truck Park, as well as this sit down location way out in Westchase.Sadly, I don't really come here anymore, because the last couple of times we were treated very badly by employees, not including the owner, although on a separate occasion, I did hear him have an altercation with some rude-ish customers over an online review they'd written, and that kind of rubbed me the wrong way a little bit. It was a little confrontational.But the problem with us is that we are usually in a hurry when we come here, and I know it takes ages for the food sometimes and I'm okay with that, and we don't stop in unless there's no one in line. So one time we came in and we were just basically ignored for ages, girl serving was on her phone, and then had to wait a very long time for phone orders to be taken (which came in after we were standing there) and while people that ordered ahead of us got food that was more complicated than ours, and then she finally took our order about 10 minutes later.That trip was nothing compared to our final visit. The most recent time we went, we came up to order and nobody else was in line, the same girl ignored us again. Then one of the people that were sitting down in a group stood up and came and looked at us, laughed, and proceeded to order in front of us. The girl that was working laughed along with it, saw all this happen, immediately took their order while looking at us to see if we were going to do anything about it, as if they were messing with us. I don't think I described these interactions very well - they were weird - but there were a lot of things going on here that strongly suggested something between "you'll be badly treated here" and "you're not welcome here."Based on these last two trips I would say that we are customers that they don't want to serve. I don't know if that's the case for the establishment in general, or just the person working those 2 days, but I do think that there was some nastiness towards us going on, blatant, obvious, repeated rather than an isolated incident.There's a chance I'll still come back here in future, but we were weekly regulars for a couple of months, so it's a shame for both us and the business, as we haven't been back since.Having said all of that - this is some of the best food in Houston. The best hot dogs, the best wings. I highly recommend you come here and give them a try. I ordered & my food came out fast. They offer many different wing flavors it's almost hard to choose. I ordered the lemon pepper spicy. I also ordered 2 different types of hot dogs. Chicago- style & Chili dog. When I got my food to go it smelled so good so when I got in the car I had to try the wings. I ate them before I got home. They were delicious. I will definitely be back. My kids loved the hotdogs. Nice place!

So freaking good! Tried out their food truck location on wing Wednesday a few weeks ago when wings were $0.85 cents but we happened to be in the area of their brick and mortar location and decided to check it out. The place itself is super clean and the owners are so welcoming. What we ordered: twenty wings and a Philly cheesesteak egg roll Lemon pepper wings(wet): 8/10 juicy and not too lemonyGarlic Parmesan wings: also 8/10 Sweet and spicy wings: 10/10 the perfect mixMango habanero: 10/10 they do these RIGHT! Philly cheesesteak egg roll: 5/10 I know people love these but wasn't my jam. :/ Can't wait to go back and try out not only more wing flavors but also the wide array of hot dogs they have to offer! Yummmm.

I just love supporting local owned businesses. I got a chance to speak with the owner & he was awesome. I love hearing stories from individuals who started with nothing & working their way to the top. I commend you for your drive & hard work. Let's move on to what I ordered, I got their "Boss Hogg" special that comes with their signature wings, classic coney, Philly egg roll & fries. I love chili cheese on my fries so I had to add that as well. The wings were banging, the batter was nicely glazed & had a light crispness to it. I liked the balance of sweet/spicy. The coney was textbook made, I'll say the quality is just like a hot dog stand in New York. The chili cheese fries was delicious, the fries were seasoned to perfection. The Philly roll was amazing, great amount of filling on the inside. I could eat 3 more of these. I would say maybe tone it down on the salt level, because it was a hair over salted. The sauce for the rolls were okay/decent but not my favorite.Overall, it was an awesome experience. Great food & great service. I'm not sure how I've never stumbled upon this spot but I'm glad I did today. There are no frills about this place but more of a homey vibe feel to it; the music was jamming as well. Will I come back? You bet I will.

Midwest Coney has become my go to place for Coney style hot dogs. While they are also known for their wings and Philly style cheesesteak sandwiches, and a cheesesteak eggroll - it is always the Coney style hot dogs that I go for. They have three great styles to choose from (Detroit, Flint and Boss Hog). Additionally, they have a choice of the all-beef hot dogs and the classic, which is 90 beef and 10 pork. In my opinion the classic is the best and has a pleasant snap from the natural casing.Midwest is easy to miss as it is a small shop in a strip center located across the street from a large Walmart. There is plenty of parking. Inside is small, with seating for about 15 people. The decor has a Detroit theme and is always clean. Order from the counter for takeout or inside seating.

Dirty, expensive, and with a side of terrible service. Midwest Coney Connection is all that and more! We came here after seeing ads on Instagram that made it look like this was the place to be. Lets just say FALSE ADVERTISING. This restaurant is nestled right across from a Walmart and a Walgreens. Pretty sure, all the food they sell here comes from the frozen section of both these places. When you come in, you'll find sketch characters in the front and even sketchier ones inside! The staff looks pretty bitter to provide the most simple meal around: Hot Dogs! The place is crammed and very dirty, and the staff shares the same description, with a side of rude! All the frozen hot dogs, wings, and egg rolls they sell here are ridiculously expensive and are bland. Combos are over 20 bucks! Insanity. We waited about 30 minutes, to get a combo that includes a mess of a hotdog, a crappy 'philly' egg roll, frozen fries, and very small frozen wings. Piece of advice: probably best to save the money and take it to the Walmart right across the street. Im positive it would taste better. Avoid this place at all costs, and dont fall for the false advertising.
