Midtown Tavern

Excellent service, friendly bartenders, clean and nice place. Great patio area with a backyard. Always comfortable and even the "locals" are friendly. We make several stops here every time we are in town and they always remember us, ask how we've been, and share new things to do. Highly recommend!

I love this place so I go Sundays. Usually they have music from 4 o'clock till about eight in the bartender. Albany is the best you talk about smiling, courteous, respectful nice I love this place I recommend this place highly it's a great place to hang out they got the games going on. It's a fun place. Mitzi the bartender is fast, efficient and friendly. The rest of the regulars are BOI or close. I'm Australian but they still let me in and always open for a chat. This is one of the best real bars on The Island. My musical friend The Reverend Dr. Otis"Sweet Papa" Futhermucker uses this place everytime he's down from Houston.

Stopped in to this gem on our recent vacation on the advice of some local new friends. Great service (thanks Mitsy) and great atmosphere! Only disappointment is that we couldn't stay until Saturday for the BBQ.

My fiance and I came in from Dallas and we wanted to experience a local bar in Galveston and we definitely found the best spot. Very friendly staff with a great outside patio. Troy is a rockstar and his genuine hospitality is what made us want to stay and definitely is the reason why we will be back! !

May 7, 2023I've been twice now and I really like it.Non-smoking inside. They have gambling machines, 1 pool table, horseshoes, and a food truck!! Tonight I came in for a quick cocktail and burger from Tonny Rico's food truck in their backyard area; delicious! The first time I came (a week ago) the food truck wasn't open and I don't know the hours (Tonny, female -speaks only Spanish so you order and pay at the bar)Nice neighborhood tavern

Cool island spot. Easy to get to from the mainland. The wait staff were friendly and fast. Patio had a three piece band that played blues, rock and country at a very comfortable volume.
