Midtown Butcher Shoppe

We had a good experience with Midtown Butcher. I ordered a French cut Veal Chop for a dinner I was making for my wife for Valentine's Day. The order was ready as promised. They also made a recommendation for a cheese shop that I needed. Highly recommend.

The staff is very knowledgeable and the service exceeds expectations. The ambiance makes you want to stay longer. Tell them your dinner plans and they will help you prepare accordingly. The food and spice collection is great. I took home two Ribeyes and a bottle of Superior Crack Smoked Sea Salt and let me tell you. I'll never put anything else on my steak besides Smoked Sea Salt and Black Pepper. Thank you Midtown Butcher for your recommendation.

I want to start by saying the meat is great quality and I'm saddened that I won't be returning after today. This was my third visit and the first time I was assisted by the same gentleman whom seemed bothered to help me at all. The first 2 visits I was the only person in the shop whom needed assistance so I didn't understand what the issue was. I was excited to same the transition to a more reliable meat source vs Publix and Kroger. However this 3rd visit solidified that I'll be shopping elsewhere. I stood at the counter ignored and unassisted. A gentleman noticed from the very back that I wasn't being helped and came forward to help me. The same gentleman who was rude on my previous visits saw me and proceeded to ignore me. I began searching for another butcher while standing there and had another minute passed I would have left but it's holiday season and time is of the essence. It's a sham my experience has been what it is. I'm not fully saying it's because of my race however I personally believe that played a part. Not a great representation of the business considering it's "family owned & operated" however these things happen in life. Once again the quality of the meat is great but I don't enjoy being serviced as if I'm an issue. I'm a patient, polite, and paying customer and should be helped with a smile like everyone else I see being helped around me. I saw in other reviews that other people of color had similar issues being ignored as well. This is something worth working on if so... preferences is fine but it's a business at the end of the day and money is money at the end of the day. 5 minutes of respect wouldn't kill you, it's 2023

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. What a fantastic Butcher Shoppe. Arguably the best Butcher Shoppe I have ever been to.Their service is incredible... some of the best customer service you will ever experience.Their selection of items seems endless. So much to choose from.We were in town for the poultry show and for the 2nd straight year, we got our steaks for the big casual dinner we host at our rental house. 16 prime ribeyes. We also got their broccoli with parmesan dish. The guy made a big tray of it as opposed to having a bunch of the small trays.Everything was fantastic! I wanted to go back Thursday to pick up a brisket but by the time we broke our booth down, it was after 9pm. Next time!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Excellent place to find prime beef and other gourmet ingredients. Definitely a great place

The Ribeye was absolutely delicious and the lobster ravioli is full of lobster! I have shopped here a couple times and I must say that superb quality describes the food and the service here...I have a serious carnivore in my home so I only had about 1/3 of the steak but here is the pic...FYI- the Cab was recommended by a rep at Total Wine & More.

A friend recently gave my husband and I a gift card to the Midtown Butcher Shoppe and what a fabulous gift that was! The shop is right next to Piedmont Park on Monroe and has plenty of free parking (which is always a plus!) Another great perk is that this shop is dog friendly so you can bring your leashes pup in after visiting the park to grab dinner to go. The workers were welcoming and helpful. We took advantage of the meal deal which was an entree, salad and bread for two for $16.99. We chose the chicken lasagna and the tomato mozzarella salad. We also added a slice of key lime pie (in the picture below, the pie is sliced in half) and a bottle of wine. We thought the prices were very reasonable. The lasagna was easy to heat up at home, but on the website they mention if you call ahead, they can heat it up for you in the store. Overall, we absolutely loved our experience at the Midtown But her Shoppe and can't wait to go back to try some of the fresh meat!

I was so excited to find this place as I am new to the area. The proteins are great, clean, fresh and well priced. You can taste the quality

I'm totally addicted to this place! I'm not a big meat eater nor do I cook regularly. I really didn't think this is place for me until I went in. They not only have incredible fresh cuts of meats & fresh seafood but they have the best prepared meals. Chicken Parmesan is my favorite- so far. Lol. Everything is freshly made from scratch and packed up ready for your fridge or freezer. They have single portions & family size portions. Everything is excellent. They also have a vary nice wine selection, fresh seasonal veggies, & fresh breads. I tried the Mexican cornbread the other day and craved it ever since. Don't forget the Caesar salad/ dressing. So, if you love to eat great food and thinking about nice butcher cut, fresh seafood, or heating up the fruits of their labor- you can't go wrong. One other thing I noticed- groceries are really expensive and sometimes getting home to discover you only have ingredients makes it hard to budget. I found that these great meals helped me trim a dollars off stocking the fridge.

I will never go back here. Don't know if they are prejudice but they were just not customer friendly. Meat was good. Am with the guy Brandon E. who posted on 12/22/23
