My next seat neighbor ordered Migas- that's tortilla chips mixed with scrambled eggs.
I ordered 2 Gyro Sandwiches. One for now. One for a friend.

I came to Midtown Bar & Grill with my Sunday Brunch friends. I love about this place because of patio seating, parking lot, convenience to major thoroughfare, split check and most importantly, it's located in the Gayborhood. Food was good. I studied the menu before arriving. I ordered Gyro Sandwich. The pita was fresh and soft. The meat was tender and juicy. The cucumber sauce was thick. The overall food experience was excellent. I just wish there were more options to substitute the fries. Service was also great. There were 2 servers at our table of 12-ish. I would return to try other dishes.

Man, this place is hard to review. It's all the vibes of a great dive bar in a good location. BUT. The drinks are limited, the bartenders kept passing me up for walk-ups, and while the menu is huge, not all menu items are equal. Most food that my friends and I tried were underwhelming, but the gyro sandwich was absolutely bangin. It's enough to take this up from a 1-star place that I'd never go back to a place to a place I'd seek out for to-go gyro.

This review is for delivery service ordered through Uber Eats. Arriving home late after a long flight and needing food, I ordered based on the 4.5 stars in the Uber eats app (yeah right...). The lukewarm soup and off putting greasy gyro I ordered were both bordering on inedible/gross. The gyro looked like it had been dipped in grease, sad wilted, brown lettuce haphazardly thrown on top. I had to use a paper towel to soak up the grease so I could stomach it. The fries that came with it were barely warm and also soggy with oil. No ketchup provided but the fries seem like they were cooked in oil that wasn't hot enough and they just absorbed the oil. Gross. Those went in the trash. The soup was meh, big chunks of chicken were nice but it didn't taste all that great. And it was not hot despite my apartment being less that 10 minutes from the store. I recommend avoiding if you can.

It was ok. Food was kind of salty. Nothing crazy, but I will say the place is open pretty late, so it's convenient. I got the blackened catfish with the sweet potato fries, house salad, and mac and cheese, and it was a bit too salty. Comes with a lot of food for the price. Fair prices. The sweet potato fries were okay, but the real show stopper was the mac and cheese. I'd get it again. It was so creamy and delicious. One of the best I've had. My partner got the steak and egg breakfast, but he said the steak was too tough and salty. Sides were okay. Overall, this spot is nothing special. It's an average meal, but I wouldn't recommend it. 5/10

I was unable to even try the food.. I wasn't even acknowledged upon entrance. Staff seems as if they're busy but the building is at half capacity.. I'm not sure what is going on with their morning crew. Maybe I'll come back when it's near empty and possibly receive subpar service!

Great little breakfast/brunch spot. Nothing fancy here, so if it's white tablecloths and champagne flutes you're after, better to move along. Midtown B&G is a no frills, but tasty thrills place where you can get a morning plate of comfort. Any of the breakfast plates are great, as are the omelettes. When I'm feeling "extra", the chicken fried steak and eggs with country gravy on the biscuits...YUM. I don't get that too often because I don't need "extra" on the waistline. :-)Pair any of that with a straight up Bloody Mary (no half salads on a pike in your drink here) and you've got a breakfast of champions. Most of the time I don't want fancy. All of the time, I want GOOD FOOD.

The restaurant staff are very nice. However the food is just so-so, more like side of the road diner food that I would eat because there is nothing else for another 100+ miles. I think a perk to this spot is that it says its open 24 hrs and it has a full bar, that can be attractive in the evening perhaps when nothing else is open. But the food presentation and taste just didn't hit for me.

The CONS: The location's parking lot could be paved over better. The tables and chairs can stand to be updated. The food temp could be more uniform. The food was on the bland side. The PROS: Customer service was great. The server was efficient and thoughtful. The food was hearty and substantial. The portions were generous. The decor is a typical diner or that of an 80's house living room and sun room. I had the traditional Bacon and Eggs with toast, grits and coffee. Overall: I will return and try lunch and a cocktail.
