"Chef Omar really did an amazing job with this one! La Santa taqueria is a true work of art. From start to end, the experience is always so great. With a variety of mexican dishes, their tacos stand out the most! Their octopus taco is one of my favorites! Cooked to perfection, and seasoned so well it's a great. Their guacamole is a must, it comes with some sides of different hot sauces which go good as toppings on almost everything they serve! The queso fundido is so yummy too - topped with mushrooms its a true delight! The restaurant itself, is a true beauty. With a bold pink wall in the front and mexican inspired art all throughout the inside, they have hand painted art and artisanal pieces hanging to bring you back to the Mexican roots of the restaurant. Pro tip: Check their weekly happenings as many times they offer live music (my favorite nights) by local talented bands."
"Came here on a Thursday night and did not disappoint l. I forgot to take pictures of the food, but the guac was very fresh! I ordered the flautas de pollo and they were good too.Inside the place is super cute, loved that they had a tree next to our table.Service was a 10/10, our server kept checking on us and making sure we has a great experience"

Wow so fresh and delicious. Exploding with flavors. The people that work there are so friendly. Today Eribe greater me as soon as I walked in and Laria & Natalie took my orders. Everyone was so happy and hospitable. I love this place. Keep up the solid work Jacalitos."
"UPDATED REVIEW 9/12/21After not coming to this hidden gem for quite some time now, the family owned business still gives amazing service and quality food without a doubt! Still one of my favorite Mexican restaurant here in Miami. My partner and I ordered the Enchiladas de Pollo en Salsa Verde, there famous Horchata Mexican drink, a tamarindo Jarrito, and chips & salsa (complimentary) with guacamole (extra). Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you receive. In the middle of Kendall and there take out is the same amount of food and quality as indoor dining."
"Really delicious lunch! Doesn't look like much from the outside, right next to a convenience store, but wow it delivered! Super fast service, big portions and ice cold beer :)We stopped here for lunch before we went to SuperBlue (just a few blocks away) and was a perfect start to a couple hours in the museum. Really great spot, highly recommend."
"This looked like it used to be a diner from the looks of it. They had a counter and a bunch of booths with colorful murals surrounding the inside. The menu sported Latin food with Mexican flair and creativity. The service was appreciated, and the food arrived in a timely manner. For starters, the Korean tostones ($15.99), timba ($9.99) and media noche egg rolls ($15.99) were ordered. There were three tostones topped with avocado, Korean BBQ pulled pork, crema Mexicana, pickled onions, and sesame seeds. This was outstanding. The tostones were crispy, but not overly done and the pork was tender. It was a well put together dish. The timba were cubes of fried queso Blanco and served with guava marmalade. I was most interested in trying this and it did not disappoint. There were 10 cubes, and each was fried to perfection. The guava marmalade paired nicely with the fried queso Blanco. Regarding the media noche egg rolls, there were three present with 8-hour roasted pork, sweet ham, pickles, a three-cheese blend, and homemade mustard aioli. Once they were picked up, it was well known how packed and loaded these egg rolls were. There was a great balance of all the toppings. Once again, the pork was succulent and tender while the mustard aioli enhanced the overall dish. For an entrée, the chimi burrito with chicken ($17.99) was ordered. It was a jumbo flour tortilla with yellow "Chuchi" rice, three-cheese blend, plantains and flash-fried with a cilantro-lime and crema Mexicana. There was also a side of fresh Pico de Gallo. Again, this was absolutely filled with all the fixtures. It somehow stayed all together even when eaten. I think the fried aspect had something to do with it. Regarding the taste, very solid. The chicken was seasoned and flavored very nicely, while the plantains provided a sweet factor to the burrito, but not too over powerful. Overall, it was filing and a good purchase. Will I go back? Easily."
"This is definitely as good as it gets tacos. This place is a hole in the wall with three old hispanic grandmas cooking these delicious tacos. At $2 a taco I was like okay, I'll have three. Nope, two were my max because I wasn't counting on the amount of stuff they put on them and the double corn tortillas so they don't fall apart on you. This is close to work and is now in my lunch rotation. I can't wait to go back!"
"I came here on a Friday around 6pm because I was in the area. I wasn't looking to drink, but I was hungry. I had a hard time trying to decide what to get because there were plenty of options. I ordered the chicken flautas ($15) and they were decent. Very crunchy, but the portion was a little small. Also, it was pretty hard to eat. The server was nice and attentive. I sat outside and buses kept driving by so keep that in mind. It didn't seem like a lot of seating was inside. Overall, it is a little expensive for the amount of food but I may return."

Found this place from tik tok so had to try it! For the beef tacos it comes with two tacos and it was tasty and delish but kinda spicy! I liked how quickly my food came out! On my thing I didn't like they automatically add 18 % tip I prefer tipping the amount and with cash but they auto charge that on your card to your bill! Overall all good food and service

Talavera is even better with its recent "facelift"/remodel. It's a coral gables staple and have been serving authentic Mexican food for years. We had several items and shared them family style. Tacos were perfect. Quesadillas were cheesy and yummy (may be too greasy for my taste). Ceviche verde was fantastic, as was guacamole. I had to take one star off only bc I felt rushed by the waiter. They kept trying to remove unfinished food from the table - we were just enjoying our conversation and were not rushing to get out. Also they brought tiny-tiny bowl of chips for a party of 3 adults. I look forward to going back.

I'm reviewing La Cazuelas, but please note this place is a Mexican/Italian restaurant and both options are delicious! The service here is always friendly, but if you don't speak Spanish, there might be a little language barrier. Food wise, everything here is great. From the quesadillas, to the steak burritos, to the menudo (so good!) this place definitely delivers. I know menudo isn't for everyone, but they make it so good here. I highly recommend it.

Tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago and already visited three or four times since. The restaurant's location is a bit awkward as it's the only brick and mortar business in a residential area but they also offer delivery.I strongly suggest this spot, especially for lunch as they have really good lunch specials for $7.99. Usually most establishments only have 3 or 4 options on their lunch specials, well Rinconcito Latino has 26 options! I tried the arroz con pollo, the chicken noddle soup, the churrasco, pollo a la plancha, and Lechon asado. All absolutely delicious with the exception of the churrasco. Don't like any of these options? No worries they have a huge menu. The amount of food is incredible for the price and good taste.

Writing this review reminded me that it's time to come by this place again soon ;) but the next time I go, I'm sharing because the portions here are generous. I like the ambience and the location of this restaurant. Right off the turnpike, a lot of stores to go shopping, book store across the street, and a movie theater right by it. Food was yummy. My oldest got tacos, my youngest chicken tenders, my husband a burrito and I went with a quesadilla. We all enjoyed our meals. My daughter was picky about the tenders because they had too much breading, but other than that, everything was good to me. Service was also good when we visited.
Visit Restaurant Page"We had spent the day exploring Biscayne National Park, and this restaurant was within walking distance from Dinner Key Marina if you're there doing a tour.We came around 5:30 pm on a Tuesday and ended up being able to participate in both Happy Hour and Taco Tuesday. They do happy hour every day from 5-7pm with 50% off classic cocktails. Great margaritas! Their classic Aida Margarita includes triple sec, which just makes it that much better. They have a surprisingly large taco selection, so make sure to grab a bunch of different ones to try. They were all delicious, but their shrimp taco was the biggest winner. Super fresh, tender shrimp combined with the chipotle mayo.. Delish! The Baja Fish Taco and the Carnitas de Atun were our other favorites.Really good service. They appropriately checked in on us and refilled our chips. (Side note: love that they serve smaller bowls of chips w/ refill options because it's less likely to fill up on chips before the food comes!). Great dinner option for a date or with friends."
"Alma Rosa is not just the food, vibrant drinks, show stopping menu items but about the experience. We came here on a Friday night and had such an unforgettable time. It was hard to choose from their contemporary Mexican cuisine with Mediterranean fusion (and a twist) menu. The drinks were delicious and so vibrant. My favorite part of course was the fun show with the dinner. It really was something cool to watch and made our time at Alma Rosa so much fun.We ordered the burrata caprese ahumada which was a showstopper so get your phone ready. The coolest presentation ever but also bursted with flavors with their in house cilantro pesto that was out of this world. From the service to the vibes, the aroma of the restaurant to the elegance, this place is IT and it was such a great spot to hang out at."
"Casa Ya'ax is a brand new Mexican-Tulum inspired restaurant in Wynwood! They have a beautiful indoor as well as outdoor space. Inside is more intimate like for a date or special occasion. The outside space is very lively, featuring a spacious bar, open space for dancing, performers and a DJ. They offer a wide variety of craft cocktails, I personally fell in love with their spicy-mezcalita. It was refreshing with a nice kick. They feature a wide variety of upscale Mexican dishes, my favorite were the Rib-eye & the octopus. Make sure you save room for dessert, I tried an amazing chocolate mouse, it was so rich & flavorful, I just can't stop thinking about it! The bartenders were really helpful in making cocktail suggestions, and Chef Omar the owner was around welcoming & checking in on everyone.. I'd like to visit again soon, for dinner & dancing! Side note- they do have a dress code, so make sure you dress to impress! I really do appreciate a place having a dress code.."
"Great friendly service. Food was tasty. Sat outside, and the weather was gorgeous. The bathroom was clean. Would recommend!"
"This place is a great! We have been looking for tacos de lengua for a while but haven't had much luck. We finally found a place that had it so we decided to check it out!Mi Rancho is located in Little Havana with ample parking in the back. They offer a large variety of Mexican food, including gorditas (which is one of my favorites)! I ordered the gorditas, one of each meat choice and my husband ordered the tacos the lengua. The food was great! The gorditas were loaded with meat and cheese! The tacos were also really good! We ordered flan to share and it was also really sweet and decadent! They had great prices and their dishes were loaded, you will not leave hungry!I highly recommend this place if you're craving Mexican food, you won't be disappointed!"
"I was looking for some Cuban food in the area, and this place happened to be within walking distance of my hotel. I came by for dinner on a Monday at around 7, and it wasn't too crowded. To start, I had the grilled Argentinian provolone cheese. I knew I wouldn't be able to finish this myself but I wanted to try it anyway. It was perfectly melty, and was nice with the tomato it was topped with, and the toasted garlic butter Cuban bread they give you at the start of the meal. Eat it quick though because once it starts cooling off, the cheese gets hard and it's difficult to eat. For my main, I had the fried pork chunks. It comes with your choice of two sides so I went with the rice and beans, and some broccoli. The pork was served on top of avocado sauce, which I wish they had put on the side. The oil from the pork mixed in with the sauce, making it kind of separated. Some pork chunks were good (the fattier ones), but they were mostly dry. I didn't care for the rice and beans. They do give pretty big portions here though. Maybe I just didn't order the right thing. Looking back, it seems more like an Argentinian restaurant, and they probably just threw a few Cuban items on the menu.If you're looking for Cuban food, this ain't it."
"Not too happy with this place. It showed up on many "must-eat" places to eat lists, but wow. The food is not that good and the prices are way too expensive for many flavorless dishes. We had:-Negroni-margarita-lamb meatballs (fav of the night)-ceviche (octopus, pretty good!)-grilled artichoke (this was SO bad. No flavor and so hard to eat!) We went to many other places during our trip that are way better. Sorry! Service was great! She was the best, but I forget her name. Just too pricey for average food."
"I'm from socal and have been trying to find authentic Mexican food in Miami. This is by far the closest I've found. Carne asada and carnitas tacos are yum! Carnitas are tender and fatty. They load the tacos up with so much meat. The prices are super reasonable for the amount ur getting. They serve a rlly good Jamaica 5/5 for sure. I doordashed the food and the only thing I would change is the way the salsas are packaged. They come in bags instead of containers. Also wish they had a spicier salsa. Besides that it was yummy! My go to taco spot now."
"We were looking for a place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in an authentic Mexican restaurant and we ended up in Catrina Cantina. This unique restaurant offers a homage to Mexico, where the main character "La Catrina" invites you to enjoy the best of Mexican cuisine and culture. Whether you're craving guacamole, tacos, ceviche or margaritas, this place will to satisfy your taste buds. They have signature dish: skeletons, these are crispy tortillas filled with cheese and your choice of meat, topped with sour cream and salsa. They're so good, they'll make you feel alive! Catrina Cantina is not just about food. It's also about fun! On Cinco de Mayo 2023, was a fiesta like no other. It's not only about the food, but it's also about fun!. They have live music DJ and some nights when not too busy they have dance classes, games, live entertainment.. You'll also get a chance to win prizes and giveaways, such as free margaritas, nacho packs and tequila shots. Don't worry about parking, because Catrina Cantina is conveniently located in Dadeland Mall , so you can shop till you drop before or after your meal. Highly recommend this unique restaurant for dun time with friends and remember: the more you drink, the prettier La Catrina gets!"
"You are here at Cantina Beach because you are enjoying the ambience of the Ritz Carlton.Everything is lush and luxurious. You are sitting under the palm trees looking at the ocean. If you are not looking at the ocean, you are looking at the Ritz-Carlton's spectacular grounds. You are drinking rum drinks or maybe you are drinking tequila. You are thanking God for your good fortune. You are paying for the experience of temporarily (or permanently) being a member of the 1%.The Ritz Carlton does not have to put much on the table in re drinks or Mexican food to keep their end up on the deal.As long as the food and drink look as good as the scenery, and as long as the fare is pleasant enough , everything will be fine. There is no need to put out any exotic Mexican coastal specialties.Everything here is something you have seen before at some other Mexican restaurant - upscale or downscale. The rum goes to your head. You dine in leisure and repose.Inside the open air hut, everything is cool and comfortable.Your bill is going to be semi-astronomical.But do you really care?If you were not born into money, there was a time in your life that you could not have afforded this. You are now living a life where this is possible. If you want to celebrate your good fortune even more, They have a Moet and Chandon champagne vending machine in the lobby.I didn't spring for the Moet and Chandon vending machine.I am sure you can get champagne more cheaply elsewhere. But you are here now.The palms are serene and green. The sea is serene and blue. And your face will be a not-at-all serene apoplectic red when you get your Mastercard Bill."
"Went here for the first time. We got there pretty late; after 9pm. It says it closes at 9 on google maps. It closes at 10pm! We called and it's on the menu. They have $2 tacos on Wednesday and Friday nights. The menu is extensive! We ordered chips and guacamole for an appetizer. The guacamole was a little bland, but it came with some salsa and it was really tasty!I ordered a chicken taco, zucchini taco, and napole taco (cactus). They come plain on a corn tortilla (pictured). You go to the bar and put your toppings on. You can add lettuce, pico de gallo, pickled onions (they were out when we went), cilantro, onion, radishes (also out), and 6 different kinds of salsas. My son got 5 different kinds of tacos and a bottle of Coca-Cola. His friend got 3 different kinds of tacos and a bottle of Coca-Cola.We ate every bite! It was super yummy. The prices can't be beat!Altogether our bill was less than $40!It's a great hole in the wall. I'll definitely be back soon."
"Legit Mexican tacos! This isn't Tex-Mex crap, if you want authentic food then this is the spot. The waitresses are always very friendly, there aren't a whole lot of tables but there's enough and they're always clean. They also have one table outside if you want to bring your furry friend. Parking is a bit tight, they share the lot with the other tenants. I've tried almost everything on the menu, and everything was delicious for me. Catch me here once a week!"
"The three stars I'm seeing from a bunch of other reviewers sound about right. I stopped by at lunchtime while working in the area near the Generator Hostel where Hoja is located. I was able to get a seat in the AC in the dim and cozy inside dining room. Their menu covers pretty much all of the tex-mex classes, and I enjoyed a fairly well packed & spicy chicken burrito. There was actually a large amount of chicken filling it, and the tortilla & chips were of a nice texture. For a lunch portion, $14 was pretty fair and expense report friendly (It was a work lunch, remember). But the $5 soda and 20% automatic gratuity got me "the look" from accounting. Service was adequate for South Beach; maybe I'll have to try it and check out the cocktails others mention when I'm not on reimbursables. 3 Stars and a "Placeholder" spot for now.."
"What took me so long to try Jaguar?! Jaguar is a spot near Cocowalk that celebrates LATAM cuisine. The menu pays tribute to Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and more. I had some of the best ceviche ever, along with excellent guacamole that was so fresh, and generously portioned mahi tacos. If Chef Oscar is there, just get what he tells you to try!"
"This is a cool no-frills local taco joint located right across from Riverside park. I've walked by many times as I go to and fro the park, but I finally stopped in to try this out, and I sure am glad I did. Outside on the awning is a big sign: "Comida Mexicana" that tells you everything you need to know as to what this place is all about. The food here is perfect, and the tacos are delicious. The meats are all cooked to perfection. The pulled pork was delicious and perfectly marinated. The chorizo was savory and very spicy. The steak was excellent as well and was perfectly grilled. The wait times do tend to be a bit long, but the service is great and the food is served exceptionally fresh with the tacos still steaming. The prices are like going back into a time machine, back to a time before covid and an era of free government money printing. Who the hell still serves $2 tacos you ask? Well the answer to that question: Lolita's restaurant. I don't know who this Lolitas is, but I would hazard to guess that she is a damn fine woman. Take a break on your wallet the next time your walking down Calle Ocho and come to this little known hidden gem serving up the finest tacos to Little Havanians."
"When I list an item in my "Late Night Gourmet" list, it means a place that typically does not have white table cloth service and space isn't a premium. However, it's not a knock on the food. It's a lifesaver after a drink (or 3) or conversely a quick lunch during the day when you're starving and don't feel like being boogie. On all of those counts, El Taquito II fits the bill! I stopped by for a bite with friends after a nearby Yelp event and we snagged two tables in the cozy inside as well as some bar seating. The soundtrack was tropical I believe (the drinks were pretty good from the earlier event :) , the seats were backless stools and our waitress pretty decent. But the conversation and jokes with our crew was the best.My sustenance was their "Ahogado" chicken burrito; a sizable and deliciously cheesy & sloppy tortilla with cilantro, plenty of cheese, salsa verde and a decent amount of chicken pieces. I believe chips and salsa would have been extra, though the salsa verde tasted good. All In a all El Taquito is a solid spot for a quick bite in Little Havana."
"so thankful this cute lil shop was across the street from where we stayed -- quick and easy bites when you're hungry!the al pastor tacos were mid, the huevos rancheros were pretty good (reminds me of this dish my mum always makes), the iced coffees are okay lol, but the burritos !! are !! so !! yommy !! especially the morning burrito it has everything i love: eggs, tomatoes, guacamole, etc. will try the churros next time hehemexican food in miami isn't the best since cuban, peruvian, colombian, haitian, puerto rican, etc. foods are so much better!"
"I LOVE Oaxaca! We usually get it via delivery and the food is always amazing quality and delicious.I have tried many Mexican places around town, but Oaxaca beats out the competition. I usually order the steak quesadilla with a side of guacamole and chips. The quesadilla comes with a delicious cumin dipping sauce that I'm hooked on! The food is top quality and so yummy!"
"Sooooo happy this place FINALLY re-opened! After what seemed like forever, iconic Taquerias el Mexicano is open again serving fantastic Mexican food & equally perfect margaritas! Stopped in tonite with my father for dinner & could not have been more pleased! Our waiter Jose, from Veracruz ;), was wonderful & told us how he had worked for almost 20 years here before the abrupt closure. Manager Gigi was also lovely & came over to welcome us back after the long hiatus. We started with MARGARITAS (spicy for me) & they were amazing! Next we did the QUESO FUNDIDO CON FRIJOL which came to the table bubbling hot in its cast iron bowl, piping hot & perfectly browning all the cheesy edges as we (not so patiently) waited for it to cool down enough to taste... delicious! For mains, my dad chose the TAMPIQUEÑA-STYLE MEAT (Grilled beef steak served with a cheese enchilada, rice, beans, and house guacamole) & loved it! I chose the STUFFED CHILE(Mild peppers, stuffed with cheese, served with red sauce, rice and beans) & it was incredible! Portions are huge & flavours ate on point. It's so wonderful to have this spot back! So much history & such great food! Not to mention a lil bird told me that Los Altos, the upstairs speakeasy, is also set to open up soon along with their renovated back patio! Come out & support this neighborhood gem & knock back a couple of killer tequila cocktails while you're here. You won't be disappointed! Crazy, crooked Miami politicians can't keep a good thing down for long. VIVA TAQUERIAS EL MEXICANO FOR-EVA!!!!"
