The best chicharrones in town
Delicious, even better when it's hot with some lime and hot sauce

The fried chicharron is amazing, perfectly cooked very tender and full of flavor. It is definitely worth a trip to stop by and check this place out. Absolutely amazing.El chicharrón frito es increíble, perfectamente cocinado, muy tierno y lleno de sabor. Definitivamente vale la pena un viaje para visitar este lugar. Absolutamente increible.

The best Barrigada (roast pork) in Miami as well as Paletas (Holiday Roast pork). Flavor is unbelievable and the crispy pork rinds (chicharrones) from the above are unforgettable!

Delicious chicharrones. Order them at the meat counter in the back. I got some pieces that got cold and they were a bit dry but the pieces that were hot were amazing. I ate 1/2 lb by myself and then I went back and got some more. Each lb is only 6.99. I did get teased by the checkout lady for ordering a second time but I got no shame. You are what you eat, right? This is a full on supermarket so they got all kinds of goodies. I got some spices for cheap! The service was friendly and they'll speak English to you if they see you struggling like I did.

Their food by the pound is delicious. They have fresh avocados from the owners farm. They were ripe and ready to eat. The chicharrones and fried Yuka chips amazing. We went two days in a row to get food because it was that good. They also make a great barigada, which is pork.

This review is based on the pork rinds you can find here. These are the best you will find in SoFlo! You have to go into La Bodega and walk towards the back on the left hand side to get your hands on these chicharrones! The location has been open for as far back as I remember and the chicharrones always slap (as the kids say now). I'm not even big on pork rinds and will eat these. I recommend trying to come earlier in the morning as it's less busy during this time. I've come here at different times throughout the years and have waited in line sometimes but never when it's early morning. Just to let you guys know how good they are, I have family from Central America that specifically request these chicharrones as it's also the best they have had. It's worth the drive if you like pork rinds!

Great place! Long standing family business. Organized and clean! Super fresh fruits and vegetables with a huge variety. The best Cuban food in the area. There was a a line of people waiting to order delicious Cuban food, but the line moved fast and the staff was helpful and accommodating. The blonde lady at the lottery register is the best! She is always super sweet. You have to go to this place if you are looking for authentic Cuban food with great service!

Don't get me wrong; the food and products are great, the best "chicharrón" in Miami. I've been visiting the place for years, but lately I don't know if the original owner sold the business; the personnel working there now is SO RUDE!!!!I live in Hollywood, and work at PortMiami; when I get off early I used to go west to get there from the port, (some 20 miles) and then back home north east (some 25 more miles) just to get the chicharrones, but should I do that and spend my money where people treat you like S#*.t? No thanks.

This bodega has been in the same location for about 30 years...but the owners are now Venezuelans. I know the place very well. It has changed dramatically for the worst!!! The place was owned by Cubans for many years and it was very popular in the early 90's, the 2000's and until about a couple of years ago. The place was known and continues to be known for their fried pork bellys which was the former Cuban owner specialty. The Venezuelans that took over the place treat people like shit. The cashiers have no manners whatsoever and are very rude. This was a very popular and nice little bodega. It has completely changed for the worst under the new Venezuelan ownership. Oh!!! By the way be careful if you drop something by mistake even a bag of chips in an aisle the cashiers will come at you and tell you to put it back in place and basically bite u if they could. Furthermore, their prices have risen dramatically. Any bag of cheap chips is 7 bucks. Everything is super expensive. I know that prices have risen everywhere but what goes on there is pure robbery. Don't get me wrong, I am not Cuban. I am Nicaraguan as a matter of fact. But the Venezuelans that took over this business know nothing but nothing about this community. This is for the most part a hard working community of Cubans and Nicaraguans. The prices are for people that live in Coral Gables. Please bring back the former Cuban owner or at least someone familiar with the community!!!!
