Went there based on a recommendation of my friend Yaniv who dined there "at least a 100 times" I could really see a huge potential for the place, too bad that they fall on "small" things that eventually shape your over all experience.1. I haven't had Asparagus in a while, was excited to have it with my lamb chops but they didn't have any, even though it is all over their Google photos.2. Ordered a risotto with at least 4 different veggies. Received it with the only veggie that wasn't listed on the menu - chunks of tomatoes.Extremely unprofessional, they re-did it for me, but why not doing it the right way from the beginning?? Had to wait additional 15 min for my food to be "fixed"3. Asked if the Brussels sprouts were deep fried. A waiter with common sense will understand that I don't want a grissy dish. It was "grilled" but soaked in grissy oil, brown, dead Brussels sprouts. 4. I went to an Italian restaurant, after a busy day at work, to relax, have some good wine and good food. I trusted the place and asked for a glass of Malbec without seeing the menu. A professional restaurant will bring the bottle to the table and pour it. I got an anonymous glass of cheap wine, the sour kind that will give you a headache. I had one sip and didn't drink the rest. What a disappointment. Of course they didn't take it off the bill and I paid.5. Above my head was a Huge T.V blasting a football game . It was a torture. I already had them re-making the risotto and didn't want to complain more. I felt like my head was going to explode. I asked them to pack the rest of the food and ate it cold at home because I couldn't suffer another min in that terrible noise. Are you an Italian restaurant or an American sport Bar???I gave two stars and not one because the lamb chops were fresh and tasty, the risotto was good once re-made, and the side of Zuccini was delicious, I wish they gave more that 4 small slices. Also the stuff was nice, they did try to accommodate and they were kind. I would have loved to go there again because I can see how good this restaurant *Could* be, but after paying $60 for such a poor experience it was unfortunately my first and last time.

Wow little hidden spot that you definitely need to try. Don't be fooled by the location. A few tables so definitely call for reservations. The service is excellent. They have specials too and seems menu changes periodically. This is definitely more of a local hidden gem. Lasagna was excellent! Also has other pasta that was so good! Will add photos. The tiramisu and in house made gelato so good! Bread is hot and served with butter. Can't wait to try more of the menu items next time. Find The Covid puzzles hangin on the wall! My only little complaint is the bathroom could could use someLove! Otherwise everything else wasFabulous!

IL Mercato Cafe was such a quaint gem. We wanted a quiet dinner and were both in the mood for Italian so we decided to give it a try.The menu stated that they serve a German/ Italian cuisine. With options like: chicken cutlets and spätzle to more traditional Italian fair.We ordered the baby roasted artichokes, linguine and clams and the short rib gnocchi. All of the dishes were delicious, fresh and seasoned accordingly. The price point was very reasonable and the service was great. Nice little place to grab a relaxing meal and sip on a glass of wine.

Little hidden spot in Hallandale. The service was above and beyond. I ordered the gnocchi and they were spectacular. I was stuffed midway and wanted to keep eating them. My husband ordered the rack of lamb and they were delicious. I live an hour away. I stopped by before going to watch a show. I will definitely be back. They have a great selection of wine as well. Our waiter was so friendly. We forgot to get his name.

Stopped in to meet a friend at approximately 8 pm. We were given a choice of where to sit so we opted for outside. The outdoor area was nice as well as inside. We had the grilled artichokes, calamari, soups, salad, beer and wine. Everything was delicious. André took very good care of us. We never needed anything and he was always checking on us. Our friend even ordered another beverage after the bill came and they were cleaning up, but we never felt rushed or like we were holding them up. I would definitely return when we are back in the area.

I almost don't want to recommend this place because it is a beautiful hidden gem and I don't want the whole world to know about it. But I must do the right thing. This has become my go-to place for Italian food, especially in the middle of the week when I need a comforting hug in a bowl (of pasta). The owner (? manager?) is an Italian gentleman who seems to always be there. I see him working alongside his staff making sure every customer is well taken care of. Here he is serving up a scrumptious-looking Cacio e Pepe. I haven't seen this dish on their menu so maybe it's a special order- I don't know. But I loved the show he put on :). I've been coming here for about 3 months and the staff is always the same. They seem to work well together hustling and bustling behind the scenes, getting things done. This says a lot about a place and its management. I almost always get the same thing when I come here, so I can only personally recommend the following dishes:Papardelle with mushroomsApple StrudelLimoncelloHaving said that, I am definitely nosy when it comes to food so I've eyed other patron's dishes, and it all looks beautiful and delicious. If I didn't like Papardelle with mushrooms in a truffle cream sauce so much I would venture out to try new things. But, here I am once again with the same delicious thing. I have no regrets. If you can find this little gem, I highly recommend you visit.

My wife and I were on a short vacation in Florida and wanted a pleasant atmosphere and good Italian dinner. Il Mercato Cafe hit the mark. While the restaurant was not busy (it was a holiday week) the place was comfortable, and the staff were very pleasant. Service was attentive but not overbearing (which I expected because it was not busy.) the buratta caprese appetizer was amazing. My wife said her eggplant parmesean was good and I thoroughly enjoyed the evenings special (cheese tortellini with truffle sauce). The tortellini was perfectly cooked, the sauce was rich and creamy. We did not have dessert but the bill was presented with a shot of homemade lemoncello which was a perfect compliment/ finish to our dinner. We r putting this on our "will return" list.
