"Fantastic colombian bakery. There arent very many in the area so I feel very fortunate that this one is close by and I can get it delivered to downtown as well!Highly recommend the empanadas, almojabanas, and buñuelos, which are all made very authentically. Dont forget the ají for the empanadas!"
"We visited this restaurant located in North Miami Beach, they serve Colombian cuisine. We ordered a few dishes, we really wanted to try the coconut lemonade, the coconut lemonade was fantastic not overly sweet just right, very refreshing and really good.As for the food we got a house salad, the tostones rellenos mixtos and the chicharron con arepa. I also ordered a portion of avocado. The tostones were delicious, they were served with a generous portion of meat, the chicharron had good flavor, the arepas also tasted good. Two things I didn't enjoy about my overall experience, first the cleanliness of the restaurant. There was a sign by my seat that the floor was wet but no one took care of it. The second thing was in regard to the bill, there was a convenience charge added on the bill, and the tip/service charge was already included. (No where I couldn't find which percentage was added) and when I pay there was another suggested service charge, something very confusing. I understand is a restaurant policy but it needs to be explain on the bill for future reference. The staff were super professional and friendly. Everyone was very attentive and welcoming. Limited parking available inside the plaza."

It's much smaller than it looks in photos. There is a small outdoor patio and and small indoor area. We opted to sit outside which is a lot cuter. I didn't like that the floors were all wet and it took a long time for service but other than that the food was great. We loved their seafood platter which was only about $30 which came with fish, shrimp, calamari, and fried plantains. It was delicious. When we came on 4th of July night it wasn't busy at all. However I hear it gets pretty busy during the weekends so reservations is recommend since its smaller. We always just park in the nearby parking structure."
"Despite seeing the rating prior, I was optimistic about the food because as you can see from the picture, the burgers actually look good. My optimism was met by disappointment. The food wasn't necessarily bad, but I personally like to feel the food was worth the high calorie intake. The food was decent not considering the price. However, considering the price I don't think I'll be back. If I had to recommend something, my favorite item was the sausage in the salchipapas which are accompanied with not so good fries. Maybe the food items to get here are the arepas, not sure as I didn't try them. The food truck is open late so I can see how after a night out in the Wynwood area the food may taste a bit better."
"This is a solid family restaurant! So much so that I went twice this weekend! Tucked into a corner of Coral Way and just off 22nd Avenue, I stopped in Saturday while on my morning jog. Around that time, I was one of maybe three other customers and stopped to watch the world cup. I sat down, almost in line with their very large screen TV and watched France beat Belgium while enjoying their timely water refills (I was working out), sweet fried plantains and a generously larged, well done pollo a la plancha (grilled chicken breast). Of course, I also enjoyed an espresso.Fast forward to taking mima to lunch Sunday. When I was there Saturday, I saw mostly families and mom prefers typical Latin comfort food dishes. Today, I did indulge! We were attended by the same friendly staff and got a nice corner table also with view of the TV. World Cup matches had finished, and they were nice enough to change the channel so that I could watch the NFL games (Go Dolphins!!)My Sunday supper was their Churrasco. A very large piece of smoky flavored meat that covered a lot of plate real estate (and had to take half as takeout), complemented with three large crispy tostones and their red bean soup (frijoles Colorado) all indulged my palate as the Dolphins win indulged my sports fandom. The egg on the steak ("a caballó") was nice and runny for extra flavor and protein. Why would I leave steak? Well their yuca fries were nice and crispy; put together with Papa Colombiana (a baked potato with a melted cheese sauce) was too good to skip. Besides, I had to leave some space for their creamy tree leche dessert (and another Cortadito)."
"5 star food, 4 star ambience, 33 star service. Terrific Colombian food right in the heart of Calle Ocho.5 star food: just about every Colombian food staple is on the menu. Calentado, even though usually for breakfast ( rice & beans, chorizo plus fried egg) is unbelievably good here.4 star ambience: inside it's slightly tattered but authentic. Outside it's the vibrant main stretch of Calle Ocho.3 star service: service here was ok but slightly strange. At first I thought it was my John Wayne accented Spanish that was the problem, but even when my Miami Cuban dude partner took over, service was still hard to come by here, almost needing to tackle someone as they wandered about the main room"
"I was looking for a place within walking distance to the beach, where I could sit down and have a big breakfast before baking in the sun all day. Area 57 seemed to fit the bill. I came in on a Tuesday just after 9. Most people were coming in and ordering the baked goods/empanadas to go. I ordered a decaf cappuccino, which was pretty good. For food, I had the breakfast skillet, which had potatoes, plantains, sausage, bacon, cheese, and eggs. I don't normally like plantains but something about the plantain/potato combo just worked. I didn't care for the sausage, which were more like cheap hot dogs. The skillet also came with a slice of toast. I ordered a beef empanada for later, as a snack at the beach. They make it fresh because when I ordered it to go, they said it would take 10 minutes. Even eating it hours later, it was really good and I was surprised. The beef was perfectly spiced, and not dry. The empanada shell was made of corn, kind of like an arepa, and it was perfectly fried - not too greasy.I will warn you that you have to be careful with the bill. They charge you a convenience fee to use a credit card, and tack on an automatic 15% service fee. I didn't know and I paid a tip on top of that. They're sneaky about it too because on the bottom, they include a "suggested" tip (after having already collected one). The convenience fee and the service fee is based off your order total so let's say you ordered some things to go (like I did), they'll still charge you a "service charge" for those items.I did really enjoy the empanadas so I would say skip the menu food, and stick to the bakery items, get them to-go, and pay in cash. Then you can avoid all the hidden fees."
"My place to go when homesick Food is bc consistently good and taste is close to home. Place si getting crowded and expect a short waiting time on busy hours. But the estar will accommodate as quick as possible. The staff is friendly and able to provide any extras you might need to make enjoyable your meals. Note this is a typical Colombian restaurant with unique decor, you can find treasures there, snacks, art crafts, little things to made you smile and remember Colombian charm."
"Over the weekend I revisited this restaurant and I'm so glad to mention that the food, the service, and the wonderful staff is still providing a wonderful service.Came back for the bandeja paisa and the empanadas! Thanks to the staff for helping celebrate my bday and for singing to me! Ps Your Halloween costumes were incredible! I loved the new signs and the added outside seating. Please play more vallenatos! :)"

This neighborhood has many wonderful things but is missing the unassuming Latin America vibe that makes Miami special. Thankfully La Estacion is one of few establishments keeping this vibe alive in brickell. They have a few tables inside and it's pretty spacious. Order at the counter. They have more substantive food but I'm mostly here for the pastry and cafecito. The tequeños are quite good and the cafe con leche is wonderful to take for a walk by the bay. The people seem nice and prices are good. A great place for an affordable and delicious snack or coffee!

I really enjoyed this place. Food was flavorful and plenty. Service was good, food came out pretty quickly. It's a little dark in the restaurant (it gave "hole in the wall" especially in the back area). If you're in the mood for authentic Colombian cuisine I do recommend.

This is a great restaurant. I would totally come back here but never alone. There is a bar call the bar idle about two doors down from this facility where it appears that there's drug sales going on or some kind of mischievous behavior. Several intimidating males hanging out in front of the door with a large vehicle and its doors open right across from the bar door. And then there was a gentleman that appeared to be a pretending to be a police officer with 3/4 of his face covered and his eyes showing in a fake police outfit. Made rude sexual comments to me as I walked by with my teenage son which I was thankful to have at my side. As far as the restaurant, the food was amazing. They had sweet and savory, plantains and ceviche. It was all delicious, but I would not walk here at night by myself.

So I originally was going to come on by because of a Restaurant.com gift certificate I received for Christmas but when my friends came into the city I found it even more of a good idea to try out some authentic Venezuelan in the area. It was late at night and I know most of the food trucks in this area are open from 1900-late night. When we arrived at this particular food truck we weren't welcomed as much as the food truck next door or at all really. After ordering the girl at the counter informed me the coupon is not something they used even though she did not even check with the other members of the staff that were there. Regardless, I had already ordered a shredded chicken Cachapa that sounded pretty good. It was a bit on the pricier side compared to the other food spots along this street but I decided to stay optimistic! I opened it up once when we got home and to my surprise it was steak. They did have some authentic green and white sauces on the picnic tables nearby that I smothered it with but it didn't fix the fact that it wasn't pollo. For these reasons I give this place 2 stars. Not because the food was bad; it was tasty, but the customer service really missed the mark. There are a bunch of different food trucks nearby as competition so I think it would be wise to use this review as resource to improve customer satisfaction & business moving forward.

Eminently respectable Colombian food.I ate well.* * *The rest of my party ordered various forms of steak or grilled meat plates.Steaks are the small thin marinated ones common to South American cooking. Most plates featured very good versions of chicarrones. My family was all pleased.* * *I went with a choripan which is a Colombian hot dog.Or more precisely a Colombian sausage in a hot dog bun with potato sticks on top plus melted cheese plus two different kinds of sauce. That was one fine fine fine fine hot dog.* * *Although it does not say so on the menu.Any hot dog like dish here will come with enough French fries to feed a second grade classroom. You will NOT go hungry.Me not knowing about the French fries ordered maduros and a salad. The waitress brought me their Caesar salad which is a family plate big enough to feed TWO second grade classrooms.(The amount of salad is about the same as the amount of French fries, but second graders eat more French fries than they do salad.)I had about six weeks of food there. For a minute, I thought I was in Havana Harry's.The side dishes were all pleasant enough but basic for what they were. With one exception.Caesar salads in Colombia have flat squares of a salty slightly bitter cheese and an alternative version of a Thousand Island dressing. The alt dressing and the alt cheese go together just fine. This is one good salad well worth having again.* * *The Choripan is a total destination dish. The side accompaniments are completely pleasant for what they are.I would eat here again happily.Note that just one dish will hold you even if they call it an antojo.White boxes exist for those who succumb to temptation.

After moving to the area, I was looking for a good place with good food that doesn't break the bank, San Pocho delivers. The service was spot on during the busy lunch hour. Most tables were taken in the big restaurant at about 2 in the afternoon on a weekday. Always a good sign. The clientele varied widely too. I ordered from the Daily Lunch specials and was very happy with my choice. The meal came with the main protein and three sides. The chicken was super moist and fell off the bone. Overall, this is a great choice for lunch and probably dinner. Can't wait to come back and try other items off the menu.

I can particularly recommend the Colombian chorizo that comes with the Bandeja Paisa, which also included an excellent skirt steak. Also recommended is the Arepa de maiz blanco with marinated chicken. Had it all with Cervesa Aguila which is an excellent beer."
"I took my mom and family to this establishment for Mother's Day, and we had an absolute blast. We had a large party, and made sure to arrive early on a Sunday because as you can imagine it gets busy. When we parked, I was glad they had valet, which takes the guest work out of arriving and leaving so that was cool.We were at the door and sat promptly, which is also nice, and despite the crowd celebrating moms on their special day, the service did not suffer on the contrary everything from the taking of the order to the delivery to the follow up was on point .The food was amazing per usual for this location and moderately priced, considering the amount of servings and the quality that went into the ingredients . The first thing you noticed, when you walk in the wall decor in the ambience, which gives you so much to enjoy while conversing and eating .There were 'trobadores' which are pretty much entertainers that go to the table singing in a folkloric vallenato style about the folks at the table. They don't roast you, lol don't worry. But it was the highlight of the meal and definitely added to the authenticity and experience at the restaurant. Anyone who has traveled to Colombia knows that these folks live to liven a party. Was a fantastic experience, and I highly encourage anyone to go and try the food whether it's a special occasion or not"
"This place is beautiful as soon as you step in you feel instantly transported to a Colombian island. We came to check out the place for my friend's birthday next week. Had a drink and enjoyed the ambiance. The waitress told us about the live music on Saturday night and the sancocho on Sunday so we'll definitely be back!"
"Came in for the first time on a Saturday afternoon and tried a lot of different things. The restaurant was COMPLETELY empty while we were there with exception of a few Uber/DoorDash pick up which was a major red flag. I know they are somewhat new but not that new. Anyways, our server was very nice and was able to explain a few things to us. The do bring you a bottle of water which she said it was reverse osmosis and It cost $9 (first bottle is complementary). They don't have full bar. Just a few different beers, wines and a apple/blueberry spirit which was somewhat of a sangria but not quite. The drink wasn't bad but not great. For appetizers we shared the charred octopus (tender and had good flavor), the tostones with pork belly guacamole (didn't have much pork belly but it tasted good) and the French onion soup (it was awful and the bread was burnt or something tasted burnt). For main we shared the spice mango and chili ribs (it tasted fine but could have been better) not spicy at all.We also had the bao buns which left a lot to desire but not terrible, I did like the pickle cabbage. And finally the top 17 burgers which was delicious, juicy and cooked to perfection. I would have that again. For dessert we had the Nutella filled chocolate chip cookie with icecream and yum! Delicious Overall the food was average and I'm not sure if I'd be back."
"No matter the time of day, this place is packed! Cute little spot on the 1st floor of the City 24 residentialBuilding, they have a nice outdoor dinning area & always play fun/cheerful latin music. Definitely gets you in a good mood! I've gone on weekends after the gym for a quick bite, after work with friends and ordered take out. I do find it a little over priced for basic latin food, but i guess it makes up for ambiance & portion size. My favorites are the soups & the empanadas, i've had friends rave about the bandeja paisa, i agree that it's delicious but the portion seems to feed 3! The staff is friendly, and orders typically come out quickly."
"We decided to eat here during one of our nights in Miami Beach. Pros: -The food was delicious. We really enjoyed the empanadas-The main dish was a nice portion, and I am glad we decided to share a dish.-The mojitos were delicious. We had more of those. -Cute little spot. We sat on the patio since the evening had a little breeze. Con's: -I am a Yelper, and I check in everywhere. Here, a 15% coupon popped up. It was 15% off your entire meal. However, our coupon was not honored. Our server immediately told us that the owner would not honor our coupon. That it was an old coupon. I informed her that it needs to be removed since it was an "old coupon" -We could not order tacos from the menu-We could not order the burger from the menu.-The gratuity is an automatic 20%, and that was not a problem. Our server (she was kind of a turn off for us) told us that it wasn't basically for her, but for everyone else. However, when we went to other establishments, we were automatically informed that the tip was already included, if we wanted to leave an extra tip, it was our choice."
"I visited this new restaurant and seriously loved it! First of all, you have to check out the bathroom! It's probably the coolest bathroom I've ever seen. The ambiance here is really nice and we received wonderful service. All the dishes we tried here were so good. My favorites were the tostones with carne en vara, the pork belly arepa, and the parilla. The cocktails we had were good too! I'd definitely come back here!"
"The food was very good. For me is a really Colombian food. I went Saturday around 1:30 pm the please was full The service was lest the ok the waitress you can see working for the tip no for do a good service.. I have to complain about the check. The waitress don't advice that tip is included and they try to have double tip.. be carful ask for the check.. they bring the sale machine to your table and they asking to place your card directly, NORMALLY WE ADD THE TIP.. DO NOT DO IT. TIP IS INCLUDED I just don't like people try to take advantage of me Any way try the food is very good closed to a real Colombian food in USA"
"This was my second time in El Cielo but truly my first time "experiencing" On my first visit, the restaurant had recently opened and we went for happy hour. We enjoyed it and noted a return for dinner would be nice but with the price tag it needed to be ultra special and it always got pushed to the backburner. Last night we finally went. We had a 7 PM reservation and we knew from the moment we arrived it was different. The way the staff moved and greeted and were extra-ordinarily attentive, the experience had started. While I wont go into detail as to not ruin anything, I will highlight that the service was phenomenal and so was the food. Yes, it can be gimmicky and like some people like to call it "too frilly" or "kitschy"...BUT that's okay. If the food is where it needs to be and the flavor pairings go, let the man be as creative as he wants to be; I'm here for it.We visited two of the World's 50 Best Restaurants in our travels to Peru and this experience reminded us of those restaurants and for all of the right reasons. Overall, we were very impressed and the experience was exceptional. Menu changes every 4-6 months so if you want to indulge twice a year; go for it. Make reservations. Dress to Impress...or don't; I looked kinda homely in comparison to the others. LOL The cons: There were times the music felt a little loud and we had trouble hearing the waiter story-tell the moment so some were kind of lost. This is silly of me to even bring up but because I like to document, photos, etc...Not a fan of light and glossy tables that create shadows. I love natural wood tables, dark and dynamic. That being said, I understand for cleaning purposes, light and glossy is probably the easiest....LOL (again; ignore my ridiculousness) their tables are fine!El Cielo was unique, delicious and NOT underwhelming. We were stuffed by the end and completely satisfied. While it may not be for everyone, it was perfect for us and an experience i would not mind repeating."
