We're so happy we gave this place a shot! Don't be deterred by the somewhat sketchy location. The food is very, very good. I had the falafel wrap which came with good and crispy French fries. The falafel was what I presume to be the Turkish style and was really delicious. My husband ordered the chicken gyro platter and it was a huge portion with excellent rice and vegetables. My falafel wrap was tremendous and I finished half of it the next day for lunch. Throw in friendly service, a clean, welcoming interior, and this place is a win for us. A delicious dinner (and lunch the next day for me) for under $30? We'll be returning!

Fantastic Turkish place just across a side street from Home Depot. Just ask my partner: any excuse works for going to Home Depot...when he hears that I'm going g to Home Depot he places his kabob order with me.5 star food: their Turkish specialties are unbelievably good. These folks really know what they're doing. There are a few other items like pizza and burgers 5 star service: the staffers are incredibly friendly. They're happy to explain anything.5 star ambience: outside and inside are basic and clean, but anyone who works in a sly reference to banana brands and eating gets 5 stars.

Food was good. I can see myself eating this food as a flavorful post work out meal. Meat is grilled. I had the Turkish meatball plate. It was pretty good portion sized too. I also had the feta rolls. It was a little herby which almost kind of feels like a spinach and cheese kind of vibe. I ate it with the yogurt sauce. All good food.

Absolutely love this place! If you are craving Mediterranean style food that's the place to go! Best one in the Laudy area.Food is fresh and prepared after you order. None of that frozen BS. So much flavor! The staff is super friendly and helpful in case you are not sure what to get, hehePlenty space to sit inside while enjoy the amazing food! The only thing that I wish was better is parking but you can park across the street at Home Depot! We will be back for sure! Probably next week, haha

The food here is very good. And we enjoyed what we had.The name of the place is a bit deceptive as there is a rooster in the logo on the side of the building. I'm sure many people driving by think this is another chicken place. Although they do have chicken kabobs, it's really a Turkish restaurant. However, when my husband greeted the gal behind the register with a hello in Turkish, her reaction was huh?! Turns out she is Russian. And the gal working the grill/cooking the food in the back didn't appear to be Turkish either. We had been to this building before when it was another restaurant. We were familiar with the fact that there is very limited parking nearby. Behind the restaurant is one handicapped spot and three other spaces. They are also doing construction on the streets in the area so that makes it a bit harder. We can understand now why they are doing a big pickup and delivery business rather than dine in. We were the only dine in people when we arrived. A couple more guys came afterwards. We saw a few door dash type folks doing pickups, however. You order at the counter and pay there, and they bring your food to you.We chose their cold mixed appetizer plate. It came with hummus, baba ghanoush, lebni, and rice-stuffed grape leaves. I let my husband enjoy all the lebni which was like a thick yogurt with nuts in it. The chickpea hummus was creamy but not pureed; the eggplant baba had a nice texture as well. The grape leaves were standard but disappeared first. We were happy they had sumac on the table in a dispenser to season everything. They also brought an oval of hot fresh baked pita to share to go with the appetizers. After than we shared a lahmajun. They brought a plate first with different "garden" veggies on it -- lettuce, red onions, pickled shredded beets, tomato slices, lemon wedges, and a half pickle. The lahmajun is served hot. It's a very thin baked dough -- much thinner than a pizza or a flatbread. It was topped with finely minced/ground lamb. You tear off a piece and wrap it around the veggies of your choice. We also got a free piece of baklava with our Yelp check in. It was very good. Moist and sweet --but not overly sweet. The flaky filo and chopped walmuts made it one of the better versions I have tried. Although the building and the experience is a bit strange, we would return to try more of their menu as we like this type of cuisine. Just bring an open attitude and appetite to match.

I was stationed in Ankara, Turkey when I was in the Air Force and enjoy trying Turkish Cuisine wherever it is offered. When the server at the register didn't respond to my Turkish Greeting we figured some other parties were operating this location. We selected the Cold combo plate and a Flatbread with Sauce and ground lamb.(They also brought a plate of onions, tomatoes, and mixed greens to go on top of our flatbread). The Cold combo of grape leaves, hummus, baba ghanoush and a tart garlic yougurt was brought out first and each was very good. Some warm pita type bread accompanied the cold plate and was very good.We found out that the kitchen staff and our server were from the other side of the Black Sea ... Russia!Oh, by the way, they do have Chicken dishes too!

I have passed by here many times and we decided to give it a try. Parking is a little weird. We parked behind the building where it really only appears to be the 1 handicap spot (don't worry - we have a handicap placard and we were parked legally). If it wasn't for that, not sure where one is to park. Walked in and it was very quiet and clean. We ordered at the register, paid and sat. They have a good amount of booths and tables. Out came a basket of sauces - tzatziki, hot sauce and ketchup for the fries. Next out came the baklava in a small Togo container. We got some grape leaves to share. There were 4 giant grape leaves and they were very good. We saved 2 to take home. I ordered the falafal pita. It came with some sauce on side. Not sure what it was, but it wasn't tahini or tzatziki. The pita had the falafel, mixed greens, hummus and cucumber. It showed on the menu that there were pickles but there were none there and it could have used that briny pickly flavor. I was not a bit fan of the hummus but the falafel was very good. My husband had the chicken gyro. He said it was very good. He didn't use a lot of the spicy sauce as the heat quickly overwhelmed the flavor. My daughter had the grilled wings. Garlic sauce. She liked them a lot and they looked amazing. We ended with the baklava and it was a delicious end to the meal. Service was very friendly. We will definitely return to try some more items on the menu.

We were so pleasantly surprised when we stopped at Chickeatah' for lunch the other day. We've been driving past since they opened because we weren't drawn to it due to the signage. We initially thought it was simply another chicken place. However, they recently put out a sign clarifying that it was Turkish food and it peaked our interest. Luckily we saw it and stopped in. The food was delicious! The chicken in the gyro was so juicy and flavorful. The french fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked, as was the rice! I had the lamb skewers which could have used a pinch more salt and seasoning but were still good. And lastly the chocolate baklava was so good that I didn't even get a picture before I indulged! The inside is very clean and open. We enjoyed the open view of the kitchen. It's nice to be able to see where the food is being prepared. And the girl behind the counter who took our order and served us was very pleasant and had some great recommendations. Safe to say we will be back! Note: Parking is a little tight. There are some spots in back of the building and to the left side of it. It appears a lot of the business is deliveries.

There is only parking for two cars behind this eatery. Not sure where else one could park. Maybe at the Home Depot across the street? The restaurant is small and on entering we were greeted with a clean, neat, festive dining room with no patrons. But we also faced an environment that was somewhat musky. I don't know if the AC was turned off. But something was amiss. So, we decided not to eat there and to take our food home. We ordered an appetizer of stuffed grape leaves, a chicken gyro meal with fries, and a Turkish meatballs meal with rice. There is very little meat served here. Mostly the meals are made with chicken. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. And I went looking for the fries before we walked out the door so I could munch on some during the drive home. And I was told they were mixed in with the chicken gyro meal (because that's how they serve the fries). I hate mushy fries.Anyway, at home, we hungrily pulled out our food and started to stuff our faces. The stuffed grape leaves were bland. The rice had absolutely no seasoning. And the grape leaf itself was washed out with no flavor. The chicken gyro was moist, plentiful, and mixed in with our (seasoned) fries (which made them a bit soggy). The Turkish meatballs were flavorfully seasoned, but alas they were overcooked. So much so that the meat was not moist and a bit tough. The "meatballs'' were actually small, hamburger shaped pieces. The rice that accompanied the dish was peppered with chick peas. It was a nice partnership. Our bill was close to $40 for two meals and an appetizer. So, pricing is not bad, especially since the portions are decent. Service was excellent.
