It's a nice place to find a variety of meat and seafood. The difference that this location has with he original Martinez is that you have to order your food at the counter and wait for the staff to bring it you. I rather physically pick the meat that I am going to buy but they gave me some nice pieces. The price is also not bad at all. Definitely cheaper than the brand supermarkets. I probably won't be back there anytime soon as it is far off my usual neighborhood but whenever in the area and in need of meat I would definitely give them a ring.

A mini version of Martinez in Medley. The difference is that you order at the counter, you pay, wait a bit, they call you back and give you your stuff. The line moves fairly quick and they always have plenty of people working there. Parking can be a bit of a problem during regular business hours, since they are located among several warehouses. The prices are reasonable and the quality is very good. One good thing about this location vs the Medley location is that you don't wander around and get tempted to buy stuff that you don't really need!

Really like this place! As a home chef that loves to cook, I go here pretty often. The guys up front are very nice and you always get a good deal. It's also the only place in Miami that I've found a full packer brisket. Be aware though, that the portions are huge. You won't be able to go here and buy just a couple pounds of stuff, you'll be buying for a small army or freezing the rest that you don't use.

After reading Mary e's. review, I decided that it needed a second opinion. Mary was spot on, Casa Martinez is located in a small strip warehouse, located near Costco in Tamiami Airport business/warehouse area. Casa Martinez is as no frills as no frills can get, it shows todays specials misspelled on signs against the wall, and then a long list of items listed on there board. The display case is packed with a variety of meats, some looked much better then others. They also have the basic latin canned spices one could imagine at Sedano's too.The prices were very reasonable, almost fall off the truck reasonable. Shrimp (langostino) at $4.00 a pound. Tuna Steaks at $5.00 a pound and New York Strip at $8.00 a pound. I got a case of Tuna Steaks and a Case of the Boneless Short Rib meat, although the New York Strip looked very, very good.I was somewhat concerned about a couple of issues involving the tuna steaks. One they were in a cryovac pack and it's hard to determine the freshness. They definitely weren't blue fin tuna, since they did not have that bold red color about them, more of a light red to pink color. Possibly yellow fin tuna which is lighter in nature to the blue fin. Also my main concern was a wash that processors and packers utilize to preserve the meats flavor and color. It's slimy to the touch and makes your food just gross to handle. Typically it's found in cheap cuts of meat. The good old cryovac can hide a lot.So this required a home test for both Tuna and Short Rib meat. I had no complaints in anything that I've done (Yes same language I've told my therapist). I grilled the tuna, and it was excellent with the toasted sesame crust and wasabee balsamic reduction. The Short RIb of Beef was braised in a stout beer, with star anises, cardamon and mustard seeds. That to was really very good. No funny smells, no surprise textures, and a no nonsense price.Casa Martinez so far hit a home run with me, but this is only the second inning and there are many Yelpers out there who have very discerning taste buds. I hate to be proved wrong, but the only funky looking items appeared to be the T-Bone and Filet Mignon as they were cryovac'ed too! I spent $43.00 for nine steaks and nine tuna steaks, thats something I can live with.

A friend told me about this place and I visited not expecting to buy. Well! 100 bucks less in my wallet and I'm happy for it. This is a wholesale meat "market", more like a warehouse. The prices were awesome and the quality (so far for ribeye) was excellent. The service was superb! 5 minutes or less to order, pay and get the goods to my car. I was seriously impressed. You can get all kinds of beef, pork, fish, cheese, ham, etc, at great prices. All fresh, nothing frozen. Why 4 stars and not 5? Because you have to buy in bulk. For example, chicken breast minimum 10lbs but at 1.50 per pound, worth it. Will I be back? Yes, next month because my 100 spent will last that long!

This is THE place for quality meats at good prices. I go for the Argentine cuts, mainly entrana and vacio. Selection, quality, price, they have it all. Make sure to arrive early before holidays and long weekends, because there is a chance they'll run out of what you're looking for.

Horrible service! They must really make a good amount on their wholesale business, because if you walk in the first time trying to buy retail, trying to figure out their products, or don't know what you want, get ready for a large dose of attitude! I tried to ask what the smallest portion you can buy of anything was and, basically, I had to figure it out myself because I got no responses from anyone. When you walk in, stand back and observe. Don't ask any questions. Definitely, DON'T speak English. I could be wrong. Maybe when you shop retail at a wholesale location, you shouldn't expect to be treated like a paying customer? They were down-rite rude! I didn't walk out because my husband was actually being served, as opposed to being ignored. This place is a step into another world. I got the feel of the markets I have been to in Colombia and Costa Rica. Add the lack of patience with the newbies and a large dose of "machismo" and you are there. We did end up buying 5lbs of beef and a 2lb bag of frozen shrimp because you can't beat their prices. The shrimp alone was 5.99! As far as the ground beef, I will have to figure out how to use only a portion of it so I don't have to cook it all at once (OMG, what did I get myself into?)
