The food is so delicious, as a Colombian myself this feels very authentic. And the service is pretty good for a small business. The setting is nice I love all the little decorations they have put up.

Found this place on Yelp and I thought about trying out something new as we wait for my kiddo's swim meet to resume. This place is only about 10 mins away so we thought we'd give it a shot. As we are parking, I checked-in and the app said first time check-ins get a free can of soda. So, it thought, sweet! We walk in and we're greeting by a timid young man who can't speak English at all (I'm always mistaken to be Hispanic because of my looks!). He immediately walked over to our table and gave out menus. Shortly after, he came back with a notepad presumably asking for our order. I said "water" in English and at first he wasn't quite sure what I was saying so my hubs a switch very limited Spanish language knowledge translated for me.He came back with 4 glasses of water and another lady that can at least speak some English. I showed the lady the Yelp freebie and her first response was "No". I asked why they had a Yelp sticker by their front door and why they're not honoring what they had set up for first time yelpers who are checking in. She looked super confused and told me to "hold on just a minute". Anyway, we went ahead and took our orders. I got the grilled pork chop dish with fried green plantain. Hubby got the dish with fried pork and fired sweet plantain. One kiddo got the beef enchilada meal and the other got the chicken quesadilla. As for the flavors, I have one word... WOW! This is our first time trying out Colombian food and it's DELISH!! Also, I'm Asian and the first thing I criticize is rice and how it's cooked. My first time trying out their rice and I'm hooked. I don't know how they flavor it and I'm going to have to look online to see how I can (maybe) recreate their rice! Overall, it was a pleasant experience! Oh, and going back to that free drink.... Well, the lady handed over their work phone and had me speak to the manager. I'm glad he's able to explain the "free" soda! Hopefully, the lady will know next time when another yelper comes in the door to show the free soda perk for first time check-ins.

Got a small lunch via grubhub so i can't speak to the service. I had the 3 empanadas and yuca frita. The Yuca frita was exactly what I was craving and hit the spot. They were still crisp after delivery and went well with the salsa rosada. The empanadas on the other hand has good flavor but we're seriously lacking in filling. On a side note, the menu seemed to be decently priced.

One of my favorite Columbian places in Houston. So glad it survived Covid. The fruit shakes are great. The restaurant is small so it feels like you are eating in your mum house. And the food tastes like it's home cooked with love. Well worth seeking out.

First, the one negative. There's a big neon sign in the window that says "Breakfast" and there was nothing breakfast related on the menu. Maybe it was a time of day thing, but we went at 11am on Saturday so I figured it would be available. Not a big deal.Menu has lots of options. We got the bistec al caballo (the closest thing to a traditional "breakfast" I saw as it was steak and eggs) and the enchiladas suizas with chicken. Both plates were excellent. Not a traditional steak, more like a thin piece of flank steak that had been braised until tender, but not quite to the point where it was falling apart under its own weight. It paired well with the fried eggs and the salsa criolla. All served over a bed of white rice that absorbed all of the flavors nicely. I added a chile toreado on the side and chopped it up with the rest of the salsa criolla on top of the steak to give it a bit of heat. Highly recommended. The enchiladas were also excellent. Chicken looked and tasted like it was cooked in the same sauce as the beef. The chicken was a bit dry but the cheese and green sauce that covered the enchiladas more than made up for it. Served with beans and a bit of rice with peas and carrots, everything on the plate was great. If you don't speak Spanish, you may have trouble communicating with the server. I can't speak for everyone there but I'm fairly certain the server working when we went did not speak English. But they are on DoorDash, so this is also an option if you want to order delivery or takeout. Sign on the door said they were BYOB, but we didn't ask what the restrictions were or if there was any additional charge for this. It looked like they had a good selection of aguas frescas as well.

I had a craving for Colombian food, so I decided to try it. The food was not that bad however, it does not taste like authentic Colombian food. I ordered two beef empanadas, one ajiaco, and one ropa vieja. The empanadas were good but they were sweet (Colombian empanadas are not sweet at all). The ajiaco did not taste like ajiaco, it was just a simple chicken soup and the ropa vieja was okay but the rice was too soft and the beans had a weird smell. The service is not that friendly and the restaurant looked kind of dirty. I honestly wouldn't come back.
