I hate when I read the reviews after I order. But heed the bad reviews, these people aren't lying. I was able to ignore the bland taste because I was starving but then there were two black hairs in it thoroughly pissed

I've been eating there for more than 10 years and lately the food has been trash. No flavor. I dislike I'm NEVER given a check and sometimes I feel Overcharged.

Food here is always amazing... I just ate the best chilaquiles I have ever had!Yum!

This place is great! Don't expect anything fancy. It is straight up Mexican food and it is delicious!! If your around the area stop in, you won't be disappointed!

New in town, looking for something close by and this place has some good reviews so we tried it out! Definitely made a good decision! Small little restaurant but really the food was delicious! I've tried a lot of Mexican restaurant and haven't had one that compares to my hometown Mexican place.... But this place has come closest by far! Delicious food!

I've lived near Mi Barrio for 8 years and wondered about it. Glad I finally tried it tonight. We picked up to go orders and it was ready very quickly. Most of the employees speak Spanish primarily but they had our order exactly right and ready to go. They were very nice. It is a small clean restaurant. Very simple and but had lots of locals eating there and many Latino customers enjoying good looking dishes. Our food was well packaged and warm. My fajita burrito was excellent , filled with well seasoned chicken rice peppers and onions then great cheese sauce in top. Guac and sour cream on the side were good. We got chips queso and salsa too. One of the salsa was very spicy and flavorful. The other was milder which was good. The queso was good. I'm sure I'll be ordering again soon.

My wife and I tried Mi Barrio after finding a coupon and were impressed to find some of the best Mexican food around in a slightly surreal environment. The place is sparsely populated with televisions running peculiar Mexican variety shows (at least they were the last three times we've been there). Few members of the staff speak English, but all of them are warm and eager to please. They have a typical Mexican Restaurant menu, but the food is fresher, better. The combination plates are much larger than typical, more commercial Mexican places, although, I usually shirk the combinations for the al pastor or chorizo tacos. They have different salsas for your dining pleasure (although you have to request them, they don't bring them automatically). After dinner, you will sometimes get complimentary sopapillas (this seems to be a random occurrence, though). When you walk in the door, you ask yourself "why is this place still here?" When you leave, you just thank goodness that it is.

My husband and I live nearby and as our favorite neighborhood cantina was taking it's time to open and Mi Barria was nearby we decided to give it a try. I can't say enough about how amazing the food was. The reviewer above me talks about the surreal atmosphere and he's absolutely right, it's beyond strange but the food more than makes up for it. I got the taco loco and was happy I did. There has to be at least a 4 star chef lurking in the in the kitchen unseen and unknown cause if any of the local eateries tried his food they would have stolen him away. truly you won't regret going there.

Good price and food is good and authentic. Small dining area so I only order to go. 10/10

I placed my to-go order and was there promptly 10 minutes after. Even 45 minutes before closing on a Friday night when I placed it (9:15pm), I would expect halfway decent food. The "hard" taco shell was mush. My order of cheese dip was straight out of the fridge...not warmed AT ALL! The man who handed me my food and took my payment didn't offer a single "hello" or smile. First time here and won't be back! Food and service were horrible!!!!
