Great Mexican food. We love the tacos and the bowls. They have a very nice salsa served with chips and an amazing selection of margaritas. I will skip the churros in the future though. I thought they would be light with a dusting of sugar or cinnamon, however they were filled with a cream paste (perhaps dulce de leche?) which literally made them heavy.

¡Amigos, let me tell you about my new favorite Mexican restaurant! This place is as spacious as a mariachi's sombrero, with a big bar area that looks straight out of a telenovela. The staff, muy simpático, like distant cousins. And the food... ¡Ay, la comida! It's like a Mexican unicorn cooked for us. The menu is a beauty, full of pictures like a family album of tacos. We went for a late lunch and decided to stick to the back page lunch menu. Dinner will have to be next time because, well, who can resist?I had the steak chimichanga that was more tender than a Thalía telenovela. My wife, siempre clásica, went for the chicken quesadillas. Even though these are standard fare, la preparación fue increíble. The steak inside was juicy, like a dramatic telenovela, and the refried beans, ¡ay qué sabor! I'd never tasted anything like it. Same goes for the quesadillas and the side rice.Definitely, ¡dos pulgares arriba for this place! ¡Ole!

Been to this place 4 times and I think I had enough. I tried to like it but don't. Here are the top 3 reasons.1) music way too loud2) entire place inside and out smells like pinesol cleaner. So overpowering it makes me sick.3) food looks great coming out but when you taste it it's mediocre at best. Somethings salty some bland. The only thing I did enjoy here is the salsa and drinks, but again the smell and loud music ruins it. I am done with this place unfortunately. Seems to always have a large crowd so doubt they will miss me.

My very first time here with my family and it was a hit. The service was phenomenal and the food was flavorful. The ambiance is casual. I had a sangria and shared some steak and chicken tacos with my husband. The tacos were bursting with flavor and were nice and hot from the kitchen. The rice and beans were delicious as well. Let's face it ...who wants to eat a cold taco (nobody). The flan was a fantastic treat too! We will definitely be repeat customers when we visit NC again in the future.

This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant. Spacious interior with a big bar area. Very nice waitstaff. The food was some of the best Mexican we've had. The menu is a thing of beauty to look over, tons of pictures of the dishes. It makes it hard to decide. But we were here for a late lunch so we stuck with the back page lunch menu. Dinner will have to be next time.I had the steak Chimichanga and my wife had the chicken quesadillas. Even though these are standard fare, their preparation was incredible. The steak inside was very tender and juicy. The accompanying refried beans were seasoned in a way I'd not tasted before, delicious.Same goes for the quesadillas and the side rice.Definitely a thumbs up here.

This restaurant has a a nice outdoor patio and great menu- especially an expansive drink menu. Our waitress was helpful with recommendations as we were looking to share a few things for a late lunch. Everything we had was good! We really liked the salsas and dip sampler. Churros are one of my favorite desserts and these were so good! I liked how the margarita was served in a shaker with a glass on the side to refill as needed.

Fun, vibrant spot for some great drinks and food!My friends and I stopped by here on our way to Raleigh and it did not disappoint. We were told the wait would be about 30 min, so we went next door to Bottle Theory for a quick drink, but we ended up getting texted about our table being ready after about 15min (we just finished our first round extra fast...never let a drink go to waste!)The decor is bright and colorful, unique and refreshing. We were seated really close to the entrance (a bit of a bummer). Our waitress was really nice and checked in on us consistently. The drink menu was huge, lots of great options, and there were a lot of traditional food offerings (burritos, fajitas, tacos, etc).I think we all got some elevated margarita variation- my friends split one and still couldn't finish, so they left the task to me!I ordered a quesadilla and they shared an ACP and something else (don't remember, we went a few months ago when it had just opened). We all left full and happy though. Definitely recommend this one.

I went there with my husband. I wasn't expecting much. It was really good. We sat outside on a cold night. They had heaters - perfect. I had the ACP which was huge. Their salsa was meh. I asked for a spicier version which was delicious. My husband had the vegetarian tacos which he liked. My spicy margarita was good.

Why 5 stars? Because we were seated immediately on a Saturday evening, food came out super quick and staff was great. We decided to check this location out since we haven't had any luck with the Clayton restaurant (always a wait). As stated we were seated immediately and our server was prompt and attentive as well. They start you with the usual chips and salsa while you wait. We didn't order any apps and good thing we didn't because it didn't take long for our food. I did order chicken soup which I was thinking was a small bowl but boy was I wrong. Huge serving! I ordered a virgin blackberry mojito and it was delicious. As far as entrees, my husband ordered the Mezcalito fajitas and I opted for the ultimate ACP. I'm definitely not a cheese fan but it wasn't bad but I won't be ordering it again only because of the cheese sauce. It also has an agave chipotle glaze that was a little too sweet for the entree. It may have been better on tacos. Overall the food was fresh, hot, good and plentiful!! No complaints on portions. I needed a carry out for the soup and ACP. The ambiance was very nice and child friendly. Our server was amazing and on point. Definitely will be a go to whenever we are in the area.

Coming from SoCal, I definitely set my standards a bit lower before trying Mezcalito. While I was not disappointed by the food I had, this was definitely not a standout spot for me. DISCLAIMER: I got takeout, though I certainly appreciated the beautiful restaurant interior when I swung by for pickup. I ordered the Mezcalito burrito with side salad, a fiesta salad with chicken, and the steak fries. The food was hot and packaged neatly. The person at the front desk almost mixed up my order but they were very nice and apologetic about it.In general, I found the food to be a bit bland but salty, by which I mean that the dominant flavor was salt. My burrito came smothered in a sauce that didn't really add to the flavors in each bite. My side salad came drenched in sour cream, which I felt to be overkill. The Fiesta salad's dressing was almost like an Italian/olive oil vinaigrette which didn't quite seem to fit the vibe of the salad. The fries were pretty good but I feel like there were way too many beans and not enough pico de gallo. Overall this restaurant is a good, quick fix for my burrito cravings, but not something I'd write home about. (I would, however, write a Yelp review about it )
