"Shout out to Joyce W. After seeing her review of Steak 44, which is the street they're located on in Phoenix. I had to make reservations since I was in town only for a few nights. Btw several of the family members here are founders of Mastro's empire who sold the chain to a private equity firm in 2007 and is now under the family of restaurants by Laundry's. I checked in and was seated immediately and was sat near the bar. It was on the loud side with the music, and the bar was at capacity. Ordered a bottle of cabernet, appetizer of crispy shrimp, and a complimentary warm dish of yummy bread. I went for the dry aged 22 oz rib eye, fresh branzino with lemon butter, asparagus, pan-fried wild mushrooms, and cream Brule corn. For dessert, we had the Ultimate warm vanilla caramel cake (aka - butter cake). The food and service were outstanding.Definitely suggest reservations, and they have sister restaurants in Del Mar and Beverly Hills named Steak 48 - due to Arizona is the 48th state of the U.S."
"Decided to go out for dinner in Scottsdale and have had pretty good experiences with going to parties at The Roaring Fork.It was a weeknight so we receded immediately and decided to sit outside. They do have a fairly nice patio on the side of the building. The service was very good the restaurant was clean Little on the expensive side but the food was well prepared and worth it.We will definitely be returning for a meal sometime in the future."

"If Arizona was giving away Michelin stars, they definitely deserve one. From the host welcome, to the level of service, the thoughtful timing and everything in between. Everything and everyone was amazingWe chose this place for a birthday, checked in for our resy and as we walked through the path there were multiple managers (?) section leaders (?) awaiting to welcome you in their home. We were sat down and almost immediately our server popped up and welcomed us for dinner, stated that specials for the night and asked us our bread preference. I had just finished reading Guidara's book and this place was the epitome of what he was talking aboutOur meal was perfect, from the timing of the apps to the temperature of food. They did not miss a beat not once. Even the mid towel service in preparation for dessert lightly scented with lavender, to the mid service table brush. I was in dinner service heaven. And to that this place will always have a place in my food core memoryThe beignet tree?! Imaginative and memorable! Plus it counts as my vegetable intake. The farewell was sad because I wanted to stay forever lol, but the whole team was so thoughful with boxing up our leftovers AND putting in disposable utensils because we were traveling. They had our little pick her choice of dessert from the menu and that was so sweet of them to do."
"Have not been to Durant in many years. This landmark restaurant has been around for more than 70 years. Still has the old school ambience. Same red decor and entrance through the kitchen.Stopped in for weekday dinner. Service is exceptional. Had a prime rib end cut with baked potato and salad. Shared a calamari appetizer with friend.Food was very good. Prices were moderate to high but comparable to other high end steak houses. Good place for lunch or that special dinner occaision."
"Our first meal in Scottsdale. Interesting this restaurant is actually from San Francisco. But we'v never visited that one even though we'v visited SF many times. We requested a counter seating but the host girl forgot about it. So we had to ask to be moved to the counter. Minor issue but the dinner experience was good enough. Menu was usual Japanese and Asian fusion items. Not gluten friendly but they offer tamari at least! We ordered quite a few items to share. We had fresh oysters, tuna tartare crispy rice, shishito peppers, salmon sashimi, mushroom miso soup, uni sushi, toro tartare, scallop and mushroom skewers as tapas. Also steak and whole Branzino as entrees. The food was delicious and fresh in healthy portions. The cocktails were tasty and strong. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive the entire time. We liked the food and service but the ambiance was so crowded and noisy. A decent Japanese restaurant but don't think we will visit again next time. Mainly I am not a fan of overpriced Japanese food. I don't drink most of the time now so I can't eat raw when I don't drink alcohol. Still a solid dinner experience to start our Arizona trip nicely! Ps. Valet disappeared when we came out, complimentary valet so they leave as they please?!"
"Upscale restaurant and loved the experience. Took my wife there for her birthday night dinner. Overall I would recommend this place if expense is not a thing for you. Here are my takes:Food/Drinks: Everything tastes premium and upscale as the restaurant is. Serrver explained everything and was very welcoming. We tried 2 appetizers and entrees along with desserts which eventually were not billed and complementary on the house for the birthday night. Service: It was a very quick service from order to the table and loved it. Everyone is welcoming too. Ambiance: Great classy interior with multi-tier seating. Huge area and some unique shows of decor inside. Price: We ended up spending $300 for 2 adults and a kid here. It is upscale and so do the prices. It is not a place to go every day but for special occasions, these are some of the good options in the valley especially if you are into seafood.I would not go here every day but wouldn't mind being here on special occasions."
"For September's International Supper Club UYE Zinc Bistro was the place that we picked. The day came for us to meet up, I had made reservations before arriving and was pleasantly surprised to know the table was ready before the time. After everyone was seated, we started off with drink orders, I went with a French 75, a champagne cocktail with empress indigo gin, fresh lemon, simple syrup and a Hennessy float, this was a nice cocktail, a good way to start the meal.I knew before I arrived that I wanted the Onion Soup, it was a traditional onion soup with bubbling six mount aged AOP gruyere cheese. I had been craving French onion soup and this hit the spot, the caramelized onions, the hearty savory broth the croutons covered in melted gruyere cheese, oh so dang good! Glad we gave Zinc a try and look forward to coming back!"
"Went back to Rokerij last night. I know I said I wouldn't come back, but I just had to see if they can rebound from their Covid hangover. I do think that things have really improved. We ate at the upstairs bar because Holly is usually there and she is always great. We had cocktails and HH apps. All were very good and the pricing is surprisingly good value in 2024."
"We go to the Keg everytime we come to town and it never disappoints! Steaks are always great and we love the bread. Always pleasant servers and great atmosphere!"
"First time in was during this lastest shopping Holiday. Arrived around 5:15 PM.Was able to view the menu prior to going in, so knew exactly what we wanted to order. Atmosphere was really inviting as far as the lighting, look and the open kitchen concept.Ordered the honey garlic and herb wings. Super yummy, just wished they were drenched in more of that great sauce! Shared a truffle cheeseburger which was absolutely divine. Reminded me of a Gordon Ramsey burger we use to crave in Vegas. Only bummer is that the burger is a little pricey and doesn't include a side. We shared a large order of salt & vinegar fries plus got extra truffle sauce to dip them in which was the perfect pairing. Met the GM who was hands on working with staff to get orders out to diners. Learned in speaking with her, this is their second location to open. Original location started in Nashville Tennessee. Definitely a "go to again" place. I'd suggest their Happy Hour to get some great deals. If not splitting a meal (like my son and I did) it can be fairly expensive but it's Scottsdale so to be expected."
"I've been to Firebirds before. As I pulled into the parking lot it was packed. It was definitely Happy Hour.I had a $10 off coupon and ordered there $39.95 three course menu.I ordered a Cesar salad (delish) and had the grilled sirloin with Parmesan mashed potatoes.I was stuffed and took my creme brulee cheesecake dessert home. All very good.My server Mason B. Was great.A very enjoyable meal"

Exceptional service, elegant dining experience, absolutely delectable meal - you can't go wrong at Steak 44! Steaks are delicious, cooked to perfection, the sides are served family style - great for sharing! We are a big fan of their mac n cheese, creamed spinach and crème brûlée corn. Any and all appetizers are worth tasting. Drinks are divine! Steak 44 is perfect for celebrating work, relationships and any special occasion!

It's been more than a few years since we last dined at Roaring Forks but a missed flight connection left us in Phoenix looking to dine.Front of house was courteous and very helpful (thank you Matt). The servers were great (shout out to Burke). Steak was outstanding and the spicy tinge to the prawn cocktail sauce hit the spot. Hope to return faster than last time - thank you

Our evening at Dominick's on Sunday was one of the best experiences we've ever had at a restaurant. I made my reservation on OpenTable a couple of weeks in advance. The restaurant called me the day before to confirm and ask what we were celebrating - it was our wedding anniversary! They have valet in front of the restaurant, which is really nice. When we checked in, the host asked if we were ok going up two flights of steps, which was appreciated, as I'm sure there are guests who cannot do that. The upper level was beautiful! We got to see the pool and I loved the natural light that the ceiling allowed. I wish I knew the names of everyone serving us - the water server, expo, etc, because they were all great. Our main server, Joey, made the experience excellent. He was so attentive to all of his tables (that we could see from where we sat) and seemed to enjoy connecting with the guests. We were both really hungry, so we ordered the crispy shrimp appetizer, which honestly was not like what I expected, but it blew my expectations out of the water. The spicy sauce mixed with garlic aioli was a fantastic combination. For our entrees, we each got a filet - I got the 8oz and my husband got the 12oz. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed my steak. We also ordered a size of the truffle parmesean fries. They were deliciously crispy and the goat cheese ranch the perfect dipping sauce! For dessert, we shared the ultimate warm vanilla caramel cake, as recommended by our server. I am not even a vanilla person, and I LOVED this cake. It was freaking incredible. We also loved the handwritten anniversary card they gave us! This will be our new special occasion spot for sure, and we look forward to returning!

To get the full Durant experience you must enter through the back door taking you into the kitchen. You will have the pleasure of smelling the steaks as they sizzle on the grill. The chefs and staff will great you as if the knew you were coming. Next is the decor. You will think you just stepped back in time to a old west saloon steak house. From the wallpaper to the 1/2 moon booths. You have to experience this. The oysters Rockefeller were delicious. Save some bread to dip into the cheese left on the plate. The steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. Can't say enough for the service. Excellent staff took care of everything we asked for. Now be ready to spend a few dollars as the lowest priced steak is $85.00 that said the prices were worth the experience.

Roca Akor what a fabulous date night. We started off with appetizers and an old fashions at the bar and then moved on to the really long cooking-station table. Flat out ordered so many different taste, wanted to try everything but unfortunately, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We did try around 10 different things. Everything was fabulous. Let me tell you that pork belly, which I wanted to call pork belly-scotch, it was so silky and smooth, incredible.Lee (mixologist) Marcus (the best waiter today) Ariel ( host)Armando Guillermo, thank you.Mitch (one of my favorite) Meech Mic, so many people responsible for making our first visit, not our last visit. teamwork was amazing.I WOULD RECOMMEND

Came here for a friend's birthday while we were in town visiting from Kansas City. This place was ON POINT. Service was amazing and the food was to die for. My group shared a number of dishes and every single thing we had was delicious. They even brought out 2 desserts, including a beignet tree for the birthday girl. So thoughtful and kind. Cant wait to go back on our next visit!

I went here the other day, enjoying a by myself day while doing some shopping and having lunch. I had the French onion soup with extra cheese and it was wonderful! I also had a spicy margarita with Taheen and it was delicious! I sat at the bar and enjoyed my service there with the bartenders. The service was nice And attentive but not intrusive. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here and I look forward to coming back. I encourage others to come here as well. It's such a cute little darling place!

Definitely improved since post Covid. Things here the year prior were so disappointing- with slow to no service, food cold, drinks not right. The list goes on and on. While much of this has changed and improved, the food is surprisingly ho-hum. For example:The porterhouse chop has a mango chutney on it, is nothing more than a mango purée. There's just no innovation or risk. Chef we can handle it! Dare to do what you want to do.!! You're brilliant yet it doesn't show in the final product. The burger also was fine, but nothing that you would go back for when there's so much competition around. Truly, the best part about this was the salads. The Caesar salad and house salad are amazing. Sad that you don't have Nolets gin anymore but after ordering Hendricks, the pour was generous and the glasses were chilled. Service and valet were excellent

"I don't think I have ever had a bad meal at The Keg. The food and service are always on point."
"I have mixed emotions about my dining experience. We went on a Tuesday evening without a reservation and were immediately seated. The waitress promptly took our drink order. We knew what we were going to have so we placed it with her when she came back. They brought out complimentary bread and butter that was so warm and mouthwatering. Started with iceburg salad which I don't typically have as there is no nutritional value in ice burg lettuce. Also, I didn't realize that there was bacon on it, which I know for all you bacon lovers ....YUCK. I just scrapped it off (my bad for not reading) and off I went to eating. Ordered a shrimp and salmon dinner. I truly appreciated the artistry of the kitchen. The shrimp was the best I have had in ages. It had my senses singing!! The only reason it's not five stars is the service. For one, it was slow, and it was not crowded. We had to ask for a refill of our tea and water. Secondly, she asked if we wanted dessert and when we said we did, failed to bring us the dessert menu. I ended up getting up and going to the front to get one since she was nowhere to be found. With that said, we ordered the crème Brulé and the cheesecake. The cheesecake was so huge I ended up taking more than half home. All in all the food made up for the service."
"Years ago this was downtown Chandler's answer to an upscale steakhouse. In 2010, a Wisconsin native opened up DC Steakhouse in the historic square area. They became popular and did well. Years later, they moved to a swanky, modern spot around the corner complete with an enlarged outdoor patio and deluxe fire feature. Food: 2 starsEven though I love the physical improvements, my two stars are for the taste and value of the food. With many quality steakhouses around, the taste of my Mother's Day rib eye here lacked the rich and savory flavors that one expects from high end steakhouse. Their salad dressing was delicious but the "loaded potato" fell flat. The chocolate layer cake was also below average.Service: 5 starsOur server, Paige provided courteous and attentive service during our 90 min stay.Ambiance: 4 starsAn elegant white table cloth but comfortable fine dining setting. We had a nice experience but they need to improve their cuisine to the high standards set by fellow restaurants in the area to justify their upscale prices. *Note-A discount option is offered on the bill when paying with cash as opposed to non-cash."
"Went here for my mother 75th birthday dinner. Great atmosphere and layout of the restaurant was great. Indoor outdoor seating, service was unbelievable. Great local restaurant.Everybody at the restaurant is a wine specialist. The food was very fresh very well prepared they went above and beyond for my mother's birthday. Great music. It is in old town so parking is not the best. Food 5/5Food Quality 5/5Service 5/5Atmosphere 5/5Parking 3/5 ( nothing the restaurant can do about it) Location 5/5"
"Christmas dinner was amazing here at Bourbon steak. I ordered the ribeye it was delicious just to say the least. All of the sides were great that we ordered. The cocktails were very good our servant Keaton was amazing and with the extra bio for every little detailed items that we asked for, it is located right in the lobby of the princess hotel so all the festive lights and groundwork and everything was really beautiful. I am absolutely going back to this restaurant on a regular basis because everything was excellent. The servers everybody was wonderful, very friendly, and very helpful.Location 5/5Food 5/5Food Quality 5/5Service 5/5Parking 5/5Atmosphere 5/5Management 5/5"
"Hidden gem! Straight out of Mexico.. Little place in the corner, very authentic. Self made tables & trash can, not a problem. Ordered 2 Carne asada tacos on flour tortillas. came out quick with a roasted jalapeño! YESSalsa was good.give this place a try, walk past the new corporate taco place.. come here"
"The Americano is pretty swanky and sexy. It feels like a restaurant in Chelsea, NY. Their private rooms seem great for taking your clients out for a meal and there is so much space that it seems you don't even need a reservation. For food, we got the burrata to start, which was very good. It comes with some deli ham, which I didn't enjoy. It was so tough and too salty for me. For entrees, I got the ravioli, which was outstanding in taste, but so small in portion that I was still hungry unfortunately. My husband got the half-chicken, which was meh. It didn't fill him up, either. They don't even bring bread so we had nothing to fill us up. For the price point, I wish the portion was reasonable. Dessert time, we ordered the carrot cake, which comes with saffron gelato. Even though it's about three bites, it was probably the best thing we got. The gelato was delicious."
"The asparagus at Chop was delicious. I like how large they were. The mac and cheese had a cheddar crumble on top. I think it was a cheddar tasting bread. At least it was crunchy like a cheese it might be. I thought it was a little like a crunchy cheddar cracker crumble. The macaroni and cheese itself was creamy. I didn't think that part of the dish was overwhelming, which was good. The macaroni itself was softer rather than on the al dente side. The filet was delicious. It was very smokey and charred on top. I know some people like wood fired meat. This is a wood fired steakhouse. Looks like they fire grill the seafood too. There is a wood grilled seafood section on the menu. The pork chops were amazing. The meat was soft and tender and fell right off the bone. The braised beef is very filling and delicious. It is very soft and tender. One night it was moist and flavorful. The other night it was a bit dry. The mashed potatoes tasted amazing the first night. The carrot and broccoli was good too the first time I went. The crispy calamari has a thick bread coating. It is similar to what you would find on a mozzarella stick. The sauce tasted like a sauce that would go well with a mozzarella stick too. I think it tasted like marinara. The menu description says that it is a chili Calabrian sauce. I didn't think it tasted spicy at all. Surprisingly the calamari didn't come out as rings. They were cut into sticks. They also had the mouth feel of mozzarella sticks. The service was fast and we got our food quickly. The restaurant was dark and I thought it was very cozy. They had two tv screens showing games being played at the bar. I wasn't paying attention. It could have been football and basketball. I liked how the tables were spaces apart from each other."
"We came here on a Saturday night at this place was hoping! You can smell the delicious BBQ from the parking lot and know you're in for something good! We previously had called to get reservations, but since we only had a party of 4, reservations were not an option. (They require a party size of 6 or more for a reservation.) They quoted us a 45 minute wait, but after about 20 minutes we got the text that our table was ready! We got seated in Dorian's section and he had the best recommendations creating a fantastic experience! We had the burnt ends and the baseball steak served with the hot stone! It was all so good! We will definitely be back the next time we are visiting parents in the Casa Grande area! Hope we end up in Dorian's section again, too! Cheers!"
"Met up with friends to go to a show downtown Phoenix and we wanted to get dinner before the show and picked Mancuso's. Its been in the valley for 40 years and this was my 1st time there. We had reservations so we were shown to our table right away. The meal starts out with bread, which was delish, For the meal I went with chicken marsala. The was perfectly cooked chicken breast in a wine sauce with button mushrooms paired angle hair pasta and seasoned green beans. The table also shared a bottle of wine. This was a great meal, service was a great. Can't believe it was my 1st time there, but it won't be my last!"
"My friend and I chose this restaurant as one of our stops during Arizona Restaurant Week. Good French restaurants are quite hard to find. This one was wonderful from start to finish, including the warm and cozy ambiance.First of all, I appreciated that, even though the overhead lighting was dim, the small lamp at the table allowed us to read our menu without having to turn on our phones' flash app. We were impressed with the professional appearance and attitude of the wait staff, who were helpful with questions and the right level of friendliness. We chose from the special restaurant week menu, which included vichyssoise, lamb chops, and for dessert a berry tartelette. Everything was excellent. We knew we'd be returning as there were a number of other items on the regular menu that we want to try. The only negatives were minor. The lemonade just didn't have that puckery zip. Too bland. They willingly remade it for us -- but no, still not what we were looking for. Also (restaurant manager, please note), on the check out ticket, vichyssoise is spelled wrong. And the crust for the berry dessert was difficult to break with our forks."
"Yelpers,To give your Family and visitors a western experience riding horses thru South Mountain. Ponderosa Stables is a 5 star ride....But don't book their dinner ride to T-Bones steak house. My 3 grandchildren & I enjoyed the scenery by horse back by way of South Mountain. When it came time for dinner. What a disappointment. On T bones web site they claim to have a salad bar. Here is what we received, no plates, a bowl of beans looked like just from a can, a small salad bowl, 4 pieces of bread. When it came to the steaks and hamburgers. Very low quality of steak. Nothing like we expected paying $44.00 for the t bone and the hamburger at $19.00. small potato as ala carte at $6.00. Grandkids ordered potato with red skins at $5.00.One business cannot be a 5 star while another is a 2 star. Arizona Horses is going to feel this let down over time."
"Intimate. Dark. Sexy. Savory. Small succulent oysters in a ginger soy sauce. OMGChilean Sea Bass accompanied with fresh pasta. OMGSignature cocktail and excellent wine listAwesome background musicFriend and sophisticated wait staffThey rock!Owner came from a humble background in YUMa as a foodie truck business. Has developed the ultimate business. Soon to open in San Diego and also other across the a USA.Highly, highly recommend. Walking distance from Old Town and several hotels. Walk and enjoy their cocktails!"
"Excellent meal once again. Place is packed full of people but we were seated promptly. Great service, great food!"
"We went to Frashers tavern on a Friday night to enjoy a nice steak dinner for a reasonable price and we weren't disappointed! This restaurant has a casual vibe that's perfect for a romantic dinner without breaking your wallet and with excellent service. We came with another couple and we ordered to ravioli, bacon wrapped scallops, Caesar's salad, ribeye, filet mignon, prime rib dinner, and a steak sandwich ... you name it, we ordered it! Every one of these meals was fantastic and you can't go wrong with the menu here. Top it off with nice bottles of wine and you got a solid steakhouse experience in Scottsdale ... we will definitely be coming back!"
"What a view! Service is good, but however the food is not. Pulled pork sandwich with maybe a hit on bbq and very little portion on the sandwich itself. The pulled pork sandwich was all bread. That bbq pork sandwich needs a revamp."
"Cafe Fact: A cafe is a type of restaurant which usually serves coffee and snacks. The term "cafe" comes from French, and means "coffee".Decent breakfast and decent dinner. No complaints! While I probably wouldn't make the drive over here for their eats, as a guest that was staying at the adjoining hotel, this was more than fine to fill the tummy when not wanting to leave the site. Maybe it's because of the more senior clientele of this place, I found all the food to be lacking in texture and salt (yes, I'm trying to find the nice way of say bland and mushy food, haha!). The price includes tax.Breakfast: I had an Espresso Martini ($10 - Vodka, Kahlua, Espresso, Simple Syrup) and a Country Fried Steak ($17 - Two Eggs Any Style, One Breaded Beef Steak, Country Gravy with Choice of Toast): First of all, if you want an espresso martini in a pretty cocktail glass, this ain't it. This isn't t he kind of establishment with over the top alcoholic drinks. In fact, I think they onky offer mimosa, Bloody Marys, and espresso martinis for breakfast. It's still a pretty decent espresso martini if you don't need the extra frills. As for the country fried steak, it was decent. Getting an extra side of gravy will cost you a few bucks but the extra gravy was needed.Dinner: I had a Traditional Club ($16 - Triple-Decker of Ham, Turkey, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Swiss Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo, with Your Choice of Bread): To be honest, I was in the mood for a basic BLT and I don't know why I didn't ask to see if they would make me one. Triple-decker sandwiches aren't my thing and I wasn't too crazy for deli meat. That's on me though so I have no one to blame but myself. Was it a good sandwich? Sure. Will it win any awards? Nah! I did really like the onion rings that they served on the side."
"Maps say it's a Benihana, but it's not. It's a take out Benihana. Too bad was looking forward to it instead just a avg restaurant."
