Came to Mercato for a friend's birthday and was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance, food, and service. I've been meaning to come by so this was a great opportunity to do so. We sat inside as Miami summers can be really warm and the decor was really great. Our server was friendly and attentive despite it being a large table. To start with, I tried the calamari and eggplant Parmesan. The flavors were not point but the eggplant was a bit soggy and falling apart. I had a glass of Prosecco and it was crisp and delicious. For the main entree I ordered the Cacio e Pepe where the come with the parm wheel. I will say while it was a good portion and good flavor, it did lack pepper which is the base of the dish. I also ordered a side of broccolini which was fresh and tasty. The bread they bring to the table was also warm, fresh and delicious. Overall, this is a great spot in the middle of Española Way and is super lively on the weekends. Would definitely come back!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Great diverse menu. Dinning is indoors or outside. Weather permitting outdoors is amazing with the bustle of people walking by and the many surrounding cafes and restaurants. Food was outstanding. Salmon tartar was delicious and prosciutto tortellini was amazing!!! Service was excellent.Great experience all around!.

We loved the outside seating area! Espanola way was a lively place to hang out and grab all the food in the world. It was nice and toasty with the heaters and the service was amazing. Fettuccini Alfredo: they were kind enough to add vegetables such mushrooms and broccoli to the pasta to jazz it up for the vegetarians. So creamy and the pasta was clearly so fresh and handmade in the kitchen. Cavatelli al pesto: the pasta itself was a little chewy and doughy for my liking. But the pesto and cheese was to die for. I would definitely get this again but with different shaped pasta!

This is my go to place now when in South Beach. Located in Espanola Way, this place is highly recommended. I came in one day and got seated right away. Team members were friendly and attentive. Sourdough bread was good and fresh. The salmon was spot on. Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Very good and highly recommended. I also had strawberry mojito which was refreshing. Make sure you sit outside in the patio so you can dine and people watch!

Came here on a vacation with a large group of friends. Reservations were made online, but our party was quite large so we ended up calling to make arrangements. I would say the staff accommodated us well, but would recommend calling to ensure you have a table reserved. Our waiter, Luca, was good to us. He took all our orders and got us our food quickly. He even gave us a shot of tequila on the house! A couple items we ordered were the two specials of the day, which was the seafood linguine and a seafood risotto. We also ordered the fried calamari appetizer and grilled octopus. To drink, I had an Italian mule and an espresso martini to end the night. I really appreciated how the linguine was made in house. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the risotto was not too salty or undercooked. The portion sizes for these were HUGE! So although pricey, it was definitely worth it. I didn't feel like I was getting skimped on the seafood which was one of the fears I had. There was so much food, we ended up taking home leftovers. The aioli that comes with the calamari is so good! There's a bit of a kick to it, but it paired very well with the breading on the squid. This was gone in seconds. The octopus appetizer was tender and not rubbery at all. Trust me when I say to just order it. Though not pictured, the octopus was the best appetizer I tried. Overall, great place to dine if on vacation and I really appreciated how they were able to accommodate such a large group.

Full Stop, this place has the BEST HAPPY HOUR ON MIAMI BEACH. when you are on vacation, you don't deserve skimpy watered-down house liquor. You deserve a REAL cocktail, and Mercato has some really special offerings for $7 each. There are also some truly tasty appetizers in the "are you kidding me right now" category, from a mushroom dish I had (yes!) to some killer bruschetta. You can skim the menu, and find some medium-sized apps for a decent price if you want to sample some pf the bigger flavors. The eggplant parm app fit this bill for me. I went twice and was not disappointed.*Note from my companion-best espresso martini, and only place we found with one on the HH menu.

We sat on the patio in light rain by choice. This restaurant alleyway is lively with music and people, but our table outside was quiet enough for conversation and just the right atmosphere.The lasagna, caprese, mushroom risotto, and other dishes were traditional and delicious. The service was wonderful and attentive and the wine list had bottles we trusted.The kitchen isn't trying to reinvent the wheel. All the flavors were perfect and as imagined, and since we had teenagers with us, we were relieved to find this gem. Great experience and opportunity for enjoyment. Fun tourism area in South Beach.
