"In the same strip mall as the gym I train at when I am in Memphis.Great service, great food and they treat you like family every time you walk in the door."
"I visited Subculture to try their Nashville hot chicken tacos, and I've heard great things about this spot. Although it's more of a fusion take on Nashville hot chicken, it didn't disappoint at all. During happy hour, the tacos were priced at $7 for two, and I was pleasantly surprised by how fantastic they were. The chicken had a great kick to it and was packed with flavor, but the standout was how crispy it was--I didn't know hot chicken could have such a crunchy texture! The ambiance was pleasant, with plenty of seating and a quiet atmosphere. The owner was very friendly when taking my order, and the service was impressively quick--I got my food in less than 10 minutes. Subculture has become my favorite hot chicken spot in Nashville, and I highly recommend giving it a try!"

"I had a tasty breakfast with some of the folks I used to work with. The omelet was great, the wait staff was attentive to our needs."
"This is by far our favorite pizza place in the Memphis area. They do authentic Neapolitan pizza better than anyone around here. Highly recommended!"
"We went on a Monday night so there was not a big crowd. We didn't feel like going downtown so we thought we would visit this location. Super cool building to listen to some good music. The service was amazing and was only second to the music. There was a $5 cover charge per person which I think was a steal given the quality of entertainment. We will visit again the next time we are in Memphis!"
"Why do I eat any other type of food? This was delicious! This was the original Açaí bowl. I also had the Serrano avocado toast. And a regular drip coffee. I would eat here regularly if I lived here.. Definitely inspiring to eat Whole Foods and plant based as these were absolutely delicious. Wonderful staff. Great music, cute things to shop for."
"Most delicious veggie pita and it's truly quick. We prefer to pick it up because when it's delivered it's too soggy. It's worth driving there though."
"I'm from out of the area staying with a local friend for awhile and had my first triple cheese steak sandwich with street fries. Being originally from the northeast, cheesesteaks are a way of culinary masterpieces. While this isn't quite as good as I've had back home, it's probably one of the best I've had in Florida, Georgia, the Carolina's, Alabama, (sorry, Phillys in San Antonio beats hands down lol). It's filled with plenty of meat, topped full of peppers onions and mushrooms and CHEESY. If you're here, stop on in. You won't be disappointed. Even the service is good!"
"Amazing food, great people! The quiche was so good I bought a whole one for the family! The muffins! The coffee! Clean and cute!"
"Andalusia is a 10/10 for me! The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The briouat was very reminiscent of a samosa, but it was so much more flaky and the red tomato sauce complimented the dish so nicely. The Moroccan lasagna was an A+. Opposed to traditional lasagna, this dish has peas and onion incorporated into the sauce that is cooked and served in a beautiful cast iron. Home run for me!"
"Unfortunately, the deliciousness of the food is not the same since they removed the words "Old" and "Pizza" from their name. The prices increased, but the food got worse. When I took that Salmon Caesar photo, I still loved it here. The salmon now has a burnt flavor and drab taste. The deviled eggs are watery, but taste good. I'm not sure if watery is the word, because I believe it's just that there is too much olive oil drizzled on top. I think I will just have to pass from now on."
"Came here on a Sunday morning. The line was quite long and took about 10 mins. We were able to located a table for 3. I tried the Cuban latte (brown sugar and cinnamon) with almond milk, and it was very good. Very smooth. I also tried their holiday gingerbread crepe, which was excellent. The space is very tight, so the line becomes very uncomfortable, as there are people trying to maneuver about and squeeze through. Service was friendly."

I absolutely love this place been going since they opened but this year it seems a little different the food isn't always the same it depends on who is cooking they run out of stuff on a constant basis and the air hasn't worked all summer I hate to give this place anything less than 5 stars but unfortunately I feel the need to in hopes they see this and make some changes I still love yall tho just want my old mojo back

OMG! this place is so good I could eat here every day. Ok, well the first time I ate here I did come back the next 2 days in a row and brought friends. They had me at "butternut squash". I first tried the butternut squash tacos. Wow!The kids love the empanadas. A friend tried the hot chicken and thought it was great (and hot)!Another friend loves the quinoa salad. I can't say enough about the butternut squash salad. The first few times I had it I took the pickled onions off thinking I wouldn't like them. (duh) Today I ate my salad with them on and loved them. The salad dressing is so good, I want to buy a bottle of it.The crepes are incredible and the Alfajor cookie is almost too much. They have fancy coffee and craft beer that my friends enjoyed. The service is the BEST! And the furniture in this place has the same urban vibe as my kitchen furniture.I'm not supposed to be eating any processed food right now, but I don't think I'm cheating by eating at Subculture. Everything is homemade.Even the other diners are nice, is this place magic? Oh, and they play kick butt music, and the outside eating area has festive coloured hanging lights.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon- it was 2:45 and we didn't know they closed at 3! We even asked the hostess as she sat us if it was ok and she kind of gave as a stink face and shrugged her shoulders!!! So for that reason alone is why they will receive only 4-stars.Otherwise, I ordered a spicy vanilla latte that was delicious but for the price, the mug could have been a little larger ($5.75 I believe) But the highlight was the beignets!!! They were served with a blueberry lemon curd that was scrumptious! My husband had the chicken sandwich with tots and he said it was solid. (I did taste a couple of tots and they were yummy)Overall, I would not hesitate coming back

Another wonderful dinner at Ciao Baby! I was excited to see the restaurant super busy. The last few times we came, it was empty. No matter how many people were here, they were still bringing out food in a timely manner and keeping tables clean. This was our first time trying the Dough Bites, and they were amazing! My fiancé loves their pizza, so we visit frequently. There's no better casual Italian spot in the area than this one!

I really enjoy coming here. The servers and bartenders are great. They are really efficient, nimble, and have quite the lovely attitudes each and every time I stop by. It's an unbelievable venue for a live show. The sound system will blister your eardrums, so if it's a big ticketed show be prepared. You may consider some ear protection. Shit, how did I get this damn old?? What am I even saying?!?!?I love the fact that you can see a live music and get some top notch food all at the same time. Most places you can only get one or the other. Not here man! I have never had a bad meal here, you can even get lamb chops that are perfectly prepared and stupid good. Not many place can do that with their sole focus being on the food. Pizza, pastas, sandwiches, fish, it's all good man!We go through phases on this place for some reason, I am not sure why, but we haven't been a good minute. I'll be back soon and I enjoyed myself again last night. We have been here for brunch and it's solid as well. So don't sleep on that. '24 - 51/100

Love this place! Been going there for over a decade, and it's only gotten better. Unfussy, low-frills, with kick-ass food in a convenience store setting. Can't go wrong with a gyro, the Memphis, the Bi Bim Bop--anything, really. (And of course, the baklava.) Grab a tall boy and a copy of The Memphis Flyer while you wait for your order.

"My family and I went here on May 11th, 2024. The restaurant was very busy when we got there, so we had to wait a little bit on the wait list. Once we was notified that it was our turn to be serve the hotress told us what our table number was, and we went to the counter to order our foods. When we sat down and waited for our foods I just noticed how beautiful and clean the restaurant is. I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes and Candied Bacon. It was my first time trying Candied Bacon and I was so surprised how good the brown sugar goes with the bacon. The Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes was just freaking amazing. It will remind you of eating a regular strawberry shortcake."
"Memphis is known for their BBQ so was told this is a good place to go for good bbq and southern side. The atmosphere and decor was lovely clean and family friendly, was seated right away the hostess was very polite service was great, food was ribs were tender and meaty, peas was made like I would have done, coleslaw was good delivered fast but hot The Food was very good. I highly recommend"
"Best food in Memphis!FOOD: I got the fried chicken, mac and cheese, turnip greens, corn bread and candied yams. Everything was amazing and cooked to perfection. Good classic soul food flavor. The texture and flavor on the fried chicken was especially perfect. I also had the VIP sweet tea lemonade...it was soooo good!! Best sweet tea I have ever had! SERVICE: Everyone was sweet. You could feel the southern hospitality. AMBIANCE: It was such a treat to eat in this historic restaurant. The decor is classic. Nothing fancy but clean and a lot of character. Overall, would I come back? Yes and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Memphis!"
"great place! very clean and high quality food! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
"My wife and I had a pretty rough morning after our 18 year old dog had just died. So, after leaving our veterinarian's office feeling hungry and saddened, per her suggestion, we settled on a late brunch here. This was my first time eating here, but my wife had visited here several times previously. We were cheerfully greeted and seated almost immediately. The menu had many, many different and delicious choices. In fact, I was really impressed that they even offered steel cut oats!I settled on the avocado toast, with poached eggs and cheese grits. Given how famished I was from missing my breakfast, I also ordered the vegetable scramble with the hash-brown casserole and biscuit. My wife opted for the two eggs and a cake, consisting of over-medium eggs, crispy bacon, hash-brown casserole, and French toast. I was pleased that I could order cold brew coffee here. I liked it so much that I quaffed two glasses of their delicious and robust brew. We were ably waited-on by Ms Taylor and Ms Spyce. They were both gracious, informative, friendly, and very attentive. I'd definitely ask to be seated again within their section! There were just two relatively minor flaws with what I ate. I found that the poached eggs on my avocado toast were slightly undercooked, but I readily devoured them anyway. I also didn't completely love the Velveeta-like cheese sauce that was on top of my vegetable scramble. But, again, I gladly ate it. I thoroughly enjoyed the cheese grits as well as all other aspects of my meals. Food therapy was what I definitely needed. My wife really liked her meal, and especially the bacon. So much so, that I'll have to wait until next time we visit before I get to sample any! The atmosphere was relaxed and leisurely. It was just what we needed after our tearful and stressful morning. I really liked this place, plan on returning again, and highly recommend it. I only wish that they had a customer loyalty program.I'd award this establishment a solid four-and-a-half stars, rounded up to five stars."
"Needed a pizza fix and this place delivered to my hotel. Pretty fast, decent prices, and the pepperoni was good! Only complaint is delivery guy wouldn't come to my room, and wouldn't leave it with the front desk, so I had to rush down there. Regardless, good pizza!"
"Found this place looking for a quick place to grab a bite... and was glad we stopped. Service was fast and friendly to start. Food was delicious. I had a bowl w gyro meat and a ton of fixins and it was so good. My son had the quesadilla w gyro meat and he was highly impressed. Swing by here if you are around."
"Pops deli is the real deal when it comes to Philly sandwiches! Great tasting hot and fresh and the home fries are excellent and hot! Everything is prepared right after you order and the service is fast and the people are friendly and courteous! The restaurant is a nice place to eat with a family atmosphere and a clean environment that makes you feel at home! I really enjoyed the experience and the wings are very good also!"
"5 stars for Carrie! The food was amazing, but the service was even better. If you have not been it's a must try for everyone!"
"Food was absolutely amazing, fresh salads, sandwiches are made to order so their fresh as well! Customer Service is top notch! Warm environment with friendly staff....."
"Bain BBQ is one of my all around favorite places in the area. They make the best beef BBQ in the City of Memphis and the closest thing you will find to Texas BBQ within 100 miles! I'll move away if you can prove me wrong!!! Loser leave town style! I'll just move to Dyersburg and be able to eat at Blake Stokers place. The brisket here is fucking fantastic! In fact, it's so good I struggle to even try anything else. I've put off writing a review here because I am so stuck and can't really offer any diversity in advice other than the brisket and the pastrami, which are essentially the same except for the pre-smoke production. I keep saying I'm going to get some ribs, pulled pork, sausages, and some of the other beautiful things I've seen behind the magic meat counter. But no.... I can't even think straight when I walk in man. bR1Zki7!Heather is a doll, just love her personality! I have not met her worser half, Bryant, on my visits. I am sure he is in the kitchen, where a man should be!!It's in a cool little old house in Cooper Young and has all the quirks you can imagine a restahouse would have. I dig it though. It's my kind of place!! It does give them some slight hell on maintenance. I did notice they are evolving lately. Lots of new items on the menu, which obviously I have not tried. LOL. I think they changed the sauce formulas, I love the hot one now! They changed the beans and I absolutely HATE IT! Boo!! Hiss!! I had some terrible Mac and cheese a while back, I hope it's better now, but I won't be falling for that shit again. I guess I'll just eat more protein and no sides. Maybe that way I can get around to he other meats. '24 - 49/100"
"If you need a super easy and quick meal, stop by and grab something at Kouzina. I always get the combo platter. It has good portions and you get it relatively fast if you're coming home from work and need something quickly and relatively healthy compared to fast food."
"I always love a basic diner style restaurant. You can't go wrong with the no frills of Wendell Smith's. We went for a late breakfast. My wife had a starchy meal. Eggs with grits, potatoes and biscuits. Everything was excellent I had perfectly cooked eggs and the potatoes were very good, definitely get the onions on the potatoes If you are looking for trendy, this is not it If you are looking for good basic food with nice people, try this. I don't think you will be disappointed."
"In a nutshell, this is a small family business in a strip shopping hole in the wall serving up terrifically delicious gyros. Not much to look at from the outside, and not much to look at from the inside.A sea of parking spaces out front of the strip. A handful of tables close together, so it could easily get packed when busy, but they seem to do a good amount of to go business. Very friendly and efficient. Got the feeling they personally know a good number of their regulars. I can see why there are a lot of regulars. The gyro sandwich was absolutely delicious. Overflowing with a generous pile of crunchy deeply flavorful gyros meat accompanied by whatever veggies you would like. The lettuce was a little brown, but not so much that I was bothered nor tempted to pull off any pieces. Kings will be the first place I think of when I'm in the mood for a local gyro, so overlooking any little flaw in the place or the food, because a neighborhood business like this deserves all the love."
"The food here is soooo good! Great pizzas and love love loved the bruschetta! It's so fresh and flavorful."
"Yelp suggested this space to me; and, from the reviews and photos, my husband and I decided that we needed to give this place a shot! We were headed that direction the other day and made it a pint to add Brick Deli as a stop on our journey. I'm so glad we did! The food was excellent as hell and other reviewers has promised! I wish I had snapped a photo of our food but was so hungry that it didn't happen, this time. We will definitely be back again!!! P.S.A. to parents: don't pass this place by; they are kid friendly before 9:00pm!"
"Super cute sandwich type shop where you order at the counter and can sit inside or out. It's off the main road about 2 doors down. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and a side of pasta salad. My son enjoyed the pasta salad a lot. He just felt like he needed more of it. My sandwich was tasty but not as filling as I was hoping for the price. It came on a white style bread and had I had known, I would have asked for. Different bread option. Because the pasta salad didn't fill up my son, he took the other half of my sandwich. The chicken salad was super smooth and had small crunchy pieces of pecans. There might have been grapes too Overall it was good, just a little pricy for what I got."
"Not a huge roast beef fan so I skipped their classic sandwich. Everyone else in my group loved it. Chicken tenders are excellent!"
"Their coffee and Latte's put Starbucks to shame which is a tall order. I'm not a breakfast person but their breakfast burrito is amazing! Employees are great and the place is always clean. They stay busy but I've always been able to get a table! It's a great cafe and we should all support our amazing local businesses."
"Finally made the trip Central BBQ in Capital View recently and have mixed feelings about the place and food. If I could give percentages of a star I would put this location at a solid 3.25 stars and here is why...The layout is walk-up, counter order and then it is brought out to your table. Upon entry the counter was not staffed, but there was a child playing on an Ipad behind the counter. I honestly thought they were closed until staff walked from the kitchen and asked for my order. They have paper menus, but no menu boards, which would work way better and move things along a bit easier. They have several large screens behind the counter where they run photos of their food, this would be a great spot to have the menu digitally displayed. After looking at the menu we landed on the pulled pork sandwich with fries and the brisket plate with onion rings and mac & cheese. Pulled pork sandwich was loaded with meat and topped with sauce. The fries were not fresh and weirdly already soggy. They looked good and were seasoned well, but that did not translate too well to the plate. The brisket was sadly dry and chewy, even when drowned in sauce. The mac & cheese was decent, nothing special and the onion rings were nicely fried. I liked the small bun they added so I could make a slider out of a portion of brisket, this was the best way to eat it in my opinion as the meat alone was underwhelming. Sweet tea was delicious, as one would expect from a southern BBQ joint...so that was a positive! Additionally, their sauces were tasty as well. The meats definitely needed the sauce, so glad they had the variety. When you think anywhere near or in downtown you always think parking, and luckily they have ample street parking and a free lot in connection with the Publix next door. Big win! The place was clean and well kept. Loved the vibe, art and layout. They had a few college games on the TV, so no music was playing. I am hoping when TV's are not on with sound they have music, as they needed more energy in the place. Overall, not my favorite BBQ spot in Nashville. I am interested in giving them another shot and sampling a few more things on the menu, as it was fairly expansive."
"Probably one of the very best pasta salads I've had in forever!!!! Exceptionally friendly staff, really clean and did I mention one of the best pasta salads!!! Highly recommend this place. Club Sandwich is really good too. I'd take Buon Cibo's club sandwich over the famous chain restaurant "McAl....any day."
"For a party of 12, we had amazing service. I wish I could remember the name of our waitress, because she was awesome! The servings were a little smaller than I expected, but everything tasted good. The scallops were really good, and I would definitely order again!"
