"Wonderful place!! Food is delicious and the service excellent. Laid back vibe - can't wait to go back. Recommend reservation. Limited parking. We ubered"
"Always a go-to when I visit Memphis. Recommend the crab claws and to hold on to the plate to dip your pizza crust into! The red eye was a bit salty for my taste, but their other pizza options have been phenomenal in my past visits, like the quattro formaggi. Parking is limited but they do have valet. Service has always been wonderful, especially the bartenders."

"I'm not sure when I bookmarked this place, or why I would even do it, but I sure am glad that I did! I am not really a pasta fan you see.... It's one of my least favorite things to eat. It might be that I've never had the right pasta before because this stuff right here is amazing! We were in town for one night with the youngest kiddo for a Vandy visit. She wanted pasta, it was her trip, so I obliged and found this place I had bookmarked near our hotel. Walked in and met a nice man in a chefs coat. He cleared a table for us and we sat down. He asked if we had been there before, nope, so he explained the process of how things work up in here. You order from your phone and things just arrive when they are ready. It's a bit clunky feeling ordering and receiving your stuff. One dish came before all drinks, alcohol was served before soda glasses (get your own soda, but not glasses), one meal at a time served with several minutes between. The pasta dude makes food one dish at a time. The loud ass Italian dude behind the oven screamed at me across the restaurant for looking at him inquisitively while he cooked before we even ordered. Needless to say, the service is strange. I don't give a shit though...This food is amazing! Everything we had was phenomenal. I won't dwell and make this review too long but check my pics attached. Stupid good foods. ALL PIZZAS WISHED THEY HAD THAT ONION JAM!!!! GAME OVERMy 17 yr old, picky as hell, kiddo ate the entire plate of food she had, (I tried it and can confirm it is the best pasta I've ever tasted) and then stole the whole tiramisu for her own consumption after trying to order all of the desserts they had. Get your ass in here. Get it, now! It is really good.'24 - 56/100"
"I really enjoy their pizza. I love the vodka sauce. Highly recommend this as a pizza staple in Memphis"
"Made a reservation for 10 at 4:45PM on a Sunday via the phone because the party was too big to make a reservation online. Ordered focaccia, bruschetta, and tagliere misto which was essentially a charcuterie board (on the menu, it says serves 2, but it really serves probably closer to 3-4 as it was huge). The focaccia was essentially their pizza with no toppings, and the bruschetta was tasty. The charcuterie board had some roasted veggies, fresh mozz, and different cured meats, pretty tasty. For my pizza, I got the capricciosa which came with a bunch of different toppings and had good flavor (probably thanks to all the meats on it). The most important aspect is the crust, which was super chewy and tasty. It did however get soggy over time, and that's what I subtracted one star for. Otherwise, it was really good, and my pizza standards are quite high, having been to Italy and lived in NYC. Had tiramisu and panna cotta for dessert, the latter was super smooth and creamy and the strawberry jam on top made for some flavor. The tiramisu was moist and tasty, and both desserts weren't too sweet which was great.Service was attentive and friendly, definitely noticed upselling but that's alright. Tip included in the bill, came out to be less than $400 for 8 which was pretty good, portions were huge and everyone had way too much food. Pizzas can possibly be shared between 2 (I think 2 pizzas for every 3 people is probably good), and the pastas are huge and definitely can be shared between 2. Good quality food, would recommend!"
"Overall, I thought this place was pretty good! It feels like a pizzeria (not a fancy restaurant) and they have an easy location to get to off Lebanon Pike with their own parking lot.I got their Greek salad without cheese & it was better than average. But, I did really enjoy the meatball appetizer I got as my main; they had lots of flavor and the marinara sauce was just right! I would totally come back for this. We also shared the tiramisu, but it wasn't for me; very few ladyfingers and a lot of icing (/mascarpone) and not much coffee flavor. We'll have to try the pizza next time. They don't bring bread to your table, but the entrees come with a side of what looks like frozen Texas toast they put on the grill. A little weird, but okay. I think they have a lot of youngsters working their first jobs ever here for the summer hosting & bussing....but out server was not; she was a total rockstar."
"Good food great service and I love the ambiance it's a cozy quiet Italian restaurant that makes you feel like family"
"Unfortunately, the deliciousness of the food is not the same since they removed the words "Old" and "Pizza" from their name. The prices increased, but the food got worse. When I took that Salmon Caesar photo, I still loved it here. The salmon now has a burnt flavor and drab taste. The deviled eggs are watery, but taste good. I'm not sure if watery is the word, because I believe it's just that there is too much olive oil drizzled on top. I think I will just have to pass from now on."
"In my opinion, Aldo's has the best pizza in Memphis. I usually order takeout and they manage to consistently have my order ready in 15-20 minutes. The crust is always perfectly toasted and I haven't had a bad pizza. Some of their funkier options like Willie, Cheech & Bob also shine, but I typically stick with their lighter Margherita. My girlfriend can't have dairy and orders a cheese-free pizza, and it's honestly sometimes better than mine, which is something I rarely say about pizza. It's a testament to their fresh base sauce. When I've dined in, I enjoy the urban Memphis aesthetics and they have a nice outdoor roof area when the weather is nice. Tuesday nights at 7 pm have trivia which I'd also recommend."
"Andrew Michaels had been on our list for a long time and we finally decided to make a reservation for a date night. Our dinner reservation was at 6:30 and we were seated promptly upon arrival. The hostess sat us at a small table against the wall in between two big parties, which's not a great spot if you are trying to enjoy a relaxing, intimate date night. The whole space felt cramped and I could hear every conversation going on around us. It was a really irritating and uncomfortable start to our dinner. The rest of the dinner was not very memorable. We got two drinks, two appetizers, and two pasta entrees. The only thing I mildly enjoyed was the Focaccia appetizer. The Tuna Crudo was very overpriced at $16 for only four tiny pieces. The pasta portions were really small for the price they are charging. It would've been fine if they tasted phenomenal but they were just ok, average at best. We were really disappointed with the whole dining experience at that point and were ready to just get the check and leave. But we ended up getting dessert and that turned out to be the highlight of our evening. I got the Trio of Gelato and my boyfriend got the Chocolate Sticky Toffee Pudding. The gelato was some of the best I've ever had with super creamy texture. The chocolate toffee pudding was so delicious! We loved the pecan powder and the smooth rich chocolate. I joked that I'd probably come back here just for the desserts. Overall it was a subpar dinner experience. We might come back and give them another try in the future but for now we'll save the special dates and occasions elsewhere."

We really enjoyed our dining experience here! Food was fresh and well executed, beautiful space, easy parking, great service... We were especially impressed by the octopus dish. It was so soft and tender! The green beans appetizer dish was a lot smaller than expected but still really enjoyed the taste. The pizza was so great. I love the big thick heirloom tomatoes on it. Super flavorful from all the food ingredients. The pasta dishes were good but not mind blowing. Carrot cake was recommended by our server and it was really good. Very moist and soft. Would definitely come back if I had the chance!

My husband & I absolutely love coming to Hog & Hominy. He is a big fan of the Red Eye pizza & I have a sweet spot on my heart for the ever so flavorful wedge salad. Best wedge in Memphis, in my opinion. Even better than the dishes we ordered, our wonderful & funny server, Alex, made our brunch date splendid. She was knowledgeable of the brunch options, she suggested I get the espresso martini & I could not have been happier. She was incredibly attentive & never hovered. I will continue to come back in hopes I can be served by Alex once again.

Been wanting to try this place out for awhile not and finally got the chance this week and I am so glad we did! For drinks, I got the stubborn soda - they have an array of options and could change which one you got whenever you wanted to. For food, I got the Amatriciana pasta - spicy and the pinsa bread and my friend got the pesto. The pasta was so fresh and delicious - I even brought leftovers home and my dad said it still tasted really good! The bread was fluffy but thin and was salty and spicy (asked to add chili flakes) and went perfectly with the pasta! Highly recommend checking out!

The crust. The crust. THE CRUST!! The crust on this pizza is amazing. I honestly could have eaten a pizza sans toppings just so I could get the crust. Our server was very sweet and attentive. He was great. As for the ambiance, well, unless you like to be swarmed by mosquitos, DO NOT SIT OUTSIDE. They literally started swarming. I've never had so many mosquito bites as I have after sitting outside here. On my one ankle alone I had 100. (That isn't an exaggeration. I counted.) Definitely sit inside. We got hummus and 2 pizzas. The hummus was flavorless, so I'd skip that next time. The Button Man pizza was fine, but if you're naming a pizza after a button mushroom, I'd expect there to be more mushrooms on it. Overall, this one was just fine. The pizza with the goat cheese was much better. Basically, aside from the crust, it was just fine.

If you are in the mood for a delicious personal-sized pizza baked to perfection in a woodfired oven, then this is the place for you! My only real complaint, they are not open on Monday or Tuesday.

Really great take out experience here, and we loved our pizzas. The pick up was smooth and friendly. Caesar salad is tasty, but is very wilted. I think the dressing should be on the side for take out orders. The Lasagna pie and the Blanco are so good. We have ordered here a couple of times, and we will be back.

"We are frequent fliers to Grecian for breakfast, brunch and their amazing bakery! Food is always hot and perfectly seasoned. Make sure you try the stuffed grape leaves but order them HOT!"
"It just occurred to me that, after all these years, I've never written a review for Amicos. We've been dining here for many years, and it never disappoints. Their Italian Stromboli is exceptional and has become our go-to favorite. While we've sampled various items from their diverse menu and found them all to be delicious, we always find ourselves returning to that Stromboli. The consistency in flavor and quality keeps us coming back time and time again. If you're looking for a place that delivers great food and an outstanding experience, Amicos is the place to be."
"It was a Saturday stop after a walk in the park on a beautiful sunny day. We sat outside since it was really busy. There were 7 of us. I ordered the G-man pizza and house salad. I enjoyed my meal, as did everyone else. Our waiter took orders without having to write it down and got everyone's order correct. We enjoyed our time there. I would recommend to others to drop in."
"Usually get the animal, tried something different. This was fantastic! Great pizza of the month, get in here and grab one in May 24!"
"great place! very clean and high quality food! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
"First time dining here was a date night. It was packed for a Tuesday, but afterwards I could understand why. This place gave 'european' in terms of vibe - the lighting, the loudness, the layout (iykyk). Our wait wasn't long and we were seated in the small bar area, which was fine as it was a bit quieter and more intimate. The service was good from hostess to our server & bartender. The food was great. Star was the bruschetta! We've been back a few times and ordered pickup. We try different entrees each time and so far haven't been disappointed (except for the fried seafood platter we got during the annual pop-up which is their defense they had sold out of what we actually wanted), but we get the bruschetta every time. The best part about getting it to-go...the package it separately so the toast isn't soggy from sitting under the toppings. And it seems like there is just more of it. It's so good it's inspired to try making our own. It came out good, but we both agreed Frankie's is better. Don't know what it is about that simple dish, but they do it better than any I've tried elsewhere.Anyway I digress - Frankie's is great. Dining there is an experience, and summer on the patio is awesome. But getting to-go is great as well when you want to avoid the crowd."
"I wandered in yesterday, evidently for the first time in 13 years. I probably wasn't there at peak good pizza time, but got a burnt slice that was kind of disappointing. Slightly burnt crust, hard crunchy crust that I'm not going to really go into but it's not what crust needed to be, it was closer to a hard breadstick than any pizza crust I've ever enjoyed.I suspect it probably suffered from them reheating it for far too long, I had gotten to the point where I wondered if they had forgotten about it.Betting that were it closer to fresh it would have been quite acceptable pizza, but as with last time I was here the cook time was not quite right.Pizza looked good, I'll give it that. I want to try it sometime when it's not a reheat as I suspect that's what did this great looking slice in."
"Pretty cool decor lots of Elvis items on the wall. The service was cool as the server was able to accommodate a very large group so kudos to the server. Unfortunately, I wasn't pleased with the food at all. Sorry to say that the food was very basic. The meatball sandwich was very mid the meatballs were dense and not very flavorful. The mini side pizza was a very unique option and the caramelized onions were good, but again basic. Keep in mind they are pricy but for me the quality just isn't there nor worth the price. Overall it was just okay."
"The food here is soooo good! Great pizzas and love love loved the bruschetta! It's so fresh and flavorful."
"A great surprise find in Memphis for tasty pizza. The crust was super crunchy and sauce tasted great. Service was slightly slow but acceptable. The place is small but a good out door seating."
"Saw the positive reviews and decided to give it a try as I visited Memphis for a weekend baseball tournament. Sat at the bar and the bartender said most people were regulars. I see why. Ordered the seafood manicotti and wasn't disappointed. Very rich seafood taste without too much pasta. Would have liked a little more broccoli as a side, but certainly didn't cause an issue. Very good experience and will certainly return the next time in town."
"Love Italian food so we decided to have dinner at VC. As usual, the staff was friendly and the service was great. The bar area was packed (live music)) so we sat in the dining area. We had the giant mozzarella sticks and I had the Veal with mushroom risotto. The veal was pure perfection but the risotto was just okay. The risotto was missing something along with salt."
"The bar is fabulous. The food is fabulous. It's our go-to date night in Memphis restaurant. Make a reservation, they'll be booked."
"Pizza is consistently good. Ordered chicken tenders this time around, didn't care for them."
"Three Guys Pizza Pies is my go to spot for pizza! I always enjoy eating their food and the service is AWESOME! The store is always nice and clean and the staff are SUPER friendly. I ordered the cheese bread and pepperoni pizza I was also given the option to have hot honey drizzled onto the pizza and I'm glad I did!"
"This was a nice surprise that our hotel suggested. The place was slammed when we arrived which was a good sign. They quickly had us at a table. It did take a while to take our order and get us our drinks, but they were really busy. The food came out pretty quick and both the kiddo and I enjoyed it. We tore thru o we half the large before finally giving up and getting a box. The best part...under $20!Definitely recommended."
"If you have ever wondered what it might be like to eat straight out of a Sysco truck, this may be about as close as you can get. Most things were cold and surprisingly uniform, like the raviolis, bread sticks, and rock-hard, perfectly-round pizza. Also, while I am no expert, I think there is more technique to making crostini than just letting the bread get stale. On the positive, the patio is in the shade and our server was lovely."
"Positive: The bread they make the sandwiches on is the bomb. Extremely fresh, tasty, bakery bread- this elevates any sandwich. Negative: sounds picky, but I'm picky... the slicing of the beats is not consistent. Sometimes you get beautifully sliced thin meat and sometimes you get the unpleasant texture of way to thick slices. Otherwise I really love this deli. Consistency is key. I prefer thin slices on my sandwich. I love a good bakery French bread roll. I'm so excited they don't use store bought sandwich buns or rolls. For me this makes a world of difference. Support small, support local."
"We've been going here for years, it's a spot that's always on our short list of best spots to eat...biggest problem is that it's up in Hopkinsville and very easily forgotten about. But don't let that stop you from checking them out. Before you go you have to check the hours. We went on a Tuesday night, a night that the other location at Novadell was closed and I think that created a frenzy of people who wanted to eat here, the place is not big and it's not staffed with a high volume of employees, so that's a downside. We arrived and were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait but that changed due to some of the issues that I mentioned before. HOWEVER - The food is absolutely delicious!!! So very, very, very good. My wife ordered the Pollo Alla Parmigiana (Chicken Parmesan) and I ordered the Shrimp Capellini Toscana. We always start off with the bread and oil appetizer, which is normally fantastic, but this time they didn't have a chance to make their normal bread...so it wasn't as good. Everything about our food was great. From the house made sauce to the fresh flavors in the meals. Really good food comes out of this kitchen. Stop in, order a meal, and see for yourself!"
"It's ok - has potential. Let's break this down Service- kind of wonky. The greeting upon arrival was weird. There were like 6 workers in the entry and no one greeted us for some time. Then we were greeted twice by the same person in 3 minutes like we weren't standing there the whole time. Not terrible- just weird. Server was ok- didn't know the menu or much info about the food choices, but it is kind of new. Food- really good! Got a pizza and wings. Both were very delish. I'm picky about wings. But they passed. 2 complaints here - the 13 inch pizza size is weird, not big enough for 2 but a little too much for 1. Cost for one 13 inch pizza was too much. Complaint - wings came in a bowl with a plate as a lid. The side touching the wings had a sticker on it (pic added). Not traumatizing, but definitely made me question if it had ever been washed. Yuck. Ambience - just ok. Slightly less cool than I thought it would be. Kind of cheap looking - especially at the cost. I'll try this place again. Hopefully they work on the service and wash the plates!"
"We ordered pizza and wings from here a few times while staying close by on Music Square. It's a great spot that offers delivery, perfect for enjoying by the pool, satisfying late-night cravings, or watching a movie! The pizza was good with no issues, and the wings were extra crispy, which is always a plus!We passed by it a few times, and it looks like a traditional pizzeria shop, very well kept inside. I did see some reviews mentioning issues with the deep dish, but we didn't order those, so I can't comment. Overall, I would definitely order from here again!Regarding Yelp, I recently had my Elite status removed after 8 years because I'm a business owner. Despite not being related or affiliated with any food businesses--only a local real estate office in NY--Yelp managers believe a business owner shouldn't be an Elite reviewer. In my opinion, being a business owner shouldn't disqualify someone from providing honest and fair reviews of unrelated businesses. My reviews are meant to be helpful and honest, and I believe that shouldn't affect my Elite status."
"I can't believe I've never been here! My family was craving Italian, and we decided to drop by for dinner. Everything was enjoyable. It's a great date night. We had the kids with us, and it was fine. They were a little impatient. What kid isn't? The food was worth the wait. I could take the other half home and enjoy it the next day. There's dim lighting, and the ambiance is romantic. Everything that we ordered looked fantastic. My dish was shrimp fra vidola, and it's a bit spicy, not much at all, just a little kick. I like everything spicy. I can't wait to come back and try more items. My girls love their toasted ravioli and manicotti."
