"11/18/23: The reason I had to walk across a highway after breakfast.BIg Al and Miss Andrea are so personable and welcoming. He is at the grill cooking up deliciousness. She takes the orders and handles the flow of customers.My travel buddy suggested this spot I'm not a big fan of "regular breakfast items, eggs, pancakes etc so when I saw the menu had alternate items such as Porkchops and shrimps and grits I quickly called. Big Al himself picked up and stated he had one more and do I want him to hold it. Heck yes was my response.Upon arrival he asked were you the one that called I said yes he replied you look as you sound New York...lol.Folks please note it is a small establishment in the event you need to wait it will have to be outside. Once it was our turn we ordered the Porkchops...folks the "one pork chop" he saved was 3 huge pieces. It came with potatoes, eggs, and a biscuit.We also ordered the shrimp and grits with crab, biscuits with sausage gravy and cinnamon roll.Portions were huge although we shared we still each had leftovers to take.The sausage gravy for the biscuits had chunks of sausage, it was well seasoned and spicy we have like 4 biscuits.As our hotel was not far about a 10 minute walk we decided to walk instead of calling for the hotel shuttle that dropped us off.When in Nashville this a MUST but plan accordingly as its first come first serve. It's basically similar to mom and pop establishment so do not look for fine dining the cups plates etc mismatch which I think adds to the character.So happy we partaked and happy to say we dined at Big Al's."

We were headed that direction the other day and made it a pint to add Brick Deli as a stop on our journey. I'm so glad we did! The food was excellent as hell and other reviewers has promised! I wish I had snapped a photo of our food but was so hungry that it didn't happen, this time. We will definitely be back again!!! "Super cute sandwich type shop where you order at the counter and can sit inside or out. It's off the main road about 2 doors down. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and a side of pasta salad. My son enjoyed the pasta salad a lot. He just felt like he needed more of it. My sandwich was tasty but not as filling as I was hoping for the price. It came on a white style bread and had I had known, I would have asked for. Different bread option. Because the pasta salad didn't fill up my son, he took the other half of my sandwich. The chicken salad was super smooth and had small crunchy pieces of pecans. There might have been grapes too Overall it was good, just a little pricy for what I got."

"When I tell you I love Cordelia's - I absolutely love Cordelia's. I am living temporarily in Memphis and this place has brought me a ton of sunshine during my stay here. The cafe is outstanding. My personal faves are the Valerie's or Chris' sandwiches. I mean DELICIOUS. Definitely choose the voodoo chips! I will miss those dearly when I leave the south. The classic breakfast sandwich is also up there in deliciousness. The customer service is always top notch and I'm happy to spend some money here. For the grocery section, my only complaint is that because it's a small grocery store the product turnover can be slow. Several times I've purchased items forgetting to check the expiration date and got home to realize things expired in a couple of days and before I'd really use them. I also purchased a pack of meat and when I was getting ready to cook it for dinner, I saw it was completely brown and rotten even though it was before the expiration date. I called in and they were apologetic and said I could bring the meat back but I live 20-25 minutes away and haven't been able to come back since. So I'm just out of that money unfortunately.Now keeping that in mind, this place is so well stocked for such a small grocery store! They have everything I'd ever need here (and more) and the prices are so reasonable. I love their chicken salads and definitely recommend giving those a try. The butcher meat is also super fresh. I got a couple of ribeyes from the butcher that were amongst the best I've ever had.All in all, please support this local business!"

"Amazing sandwiches (I only had one actually, but really wish I could have tried more). I had The Poorest of Boys, and it was enough to let me know that they have mastered the panini press. The sandwich was hearty, and as someone who never looks to go out for sandwiches, had me considering driving from Arrington to Columbia again, but I didn't have time. :( The daily soup I got as a side was amazing too. Tastes very homemade, and I would be shocked if there was any significant processing behind them. Owners and all the employees were super friendly. Plenty of counter bar seating in addition to small tables and some booths. As someone visiting from California, I would consider this a must eat on my next trip."

"From the outside, it doesn't look great and is kind of in a remote part of the city. But don't be fooled by outside appearances, this place is amazing.It's quick, cheap, good fast Chinese food. I've been going to Yang's for almost a decade, and it's always been consistently good with no frills or gimmicks. Most recently, I got three combo meals (lo mein, general tso's, and veggies) and they all came with rice and egg rolls. It totaled to less than $30. And we had plenty of left overs. They do have their own parking space and room to eat inside."

The wrap was really good. It had all of the works including corn, black beans, chicken, pico de gallo, and ranch dressing. The soup was ok. It didn't have much flavor to it. I would like to go back and try other menu items."

There is a counter inside where you could eat, but I think it might be a little awkward given the close quarters. There are also outside tables on the side walk, which would be ideal in the warmer months. However, if it is cooler, I recommend ordering and taking it to go. I would also recommend calling ahead given the wait. I'm not sure why, but all the sandwiches are named after Tom Cruise's movies. There were a lot of nice options. I appreciated that the bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and there was a nice ratio of meat to toppings. They also have an impressive variety of gourmet sauces that add a special "something something" to the sandwiches. The staff works hard and engages in light conversation to keep you entertained while you wait."

It was slightly salty but that helped add flavor to all of the veggies. I wouldn't go out of my way to get this again, but it was a quick and healthy-ish lunch to grab. I called in my order and was able to easily get it upon arrival. I can't say much about the service or ambiance since I was in and out, but it was definitely crowded! I feel like for what I got, it was a bit of a high price tag."

The meat is also thinly sliced fresh to order, which makes it soft and melt in your mouth! I prefer cold subs, and their cold cuts are of good quality.
