"The bartenders here are awesome and were very welcoming to me last Sunday! The catfish was tasty! Even though I wish it wasn't farm-raised, the flavor was comforting. The spinach madeleine was good, but had a lot of cream. This place can be casual, but also a nice spot for a special occasion!"
"While I landed at 4 stars, my true rating would be 3.5, and here is why...Nostalgic southern spot in Franklin next to the Chick-Fil-A. I really wanted to love this spot, as a Meat & 3 speaks to my soul...however, I was underwhelmed here. I popped in for lunch and ordered the Fried Catfish with fried okra, mac n cheese, and rice casserole. What struck me initially was the portion size - only one piece of catfish, which was below average in size. While the sides were decently portioned, the main dish left a bit to be desired. The catfish and okra were disappointingly dry and chewy, lacking the crispiness and tenderness that I look for in fried southern classics. The mac n cheese was sadly watery and thin, however the chicken, broccoli and rice casserole was solid, and of course the sweet tea was sweet! Service was stellar, as you would expect at a southern joint. While my first go was a bit underwhelming, I am comitted to stopping back by for another round of meats and veggies...as I don't give up on a good southern spot so easily!"

"Food was tasty but service left much to be desired. My party was only 6 people deep (3 which were kids) and the waitress did not seem to be able to keep up, kept forgetting items and failed to tell us things about the menu that she should have"
"I chose Cheddars for a belated b'day dinner for myself & will not be going back. My server Cameron was ok, but certainly nothing to brag about. He took my food order & left the table w/out taking my drink order & had to come back for that.I already knew what I wanted when he finally came to the table due to him being a bit slow. I was early as far as dinner goes, it was about 4:30 when I arrived. I chose the chicken tenders & fried shrimp combo w/a loaded baked potato & side salad. The reason I chose this dinner was due to the chicken tenders I'd had in the past, & was expecting so much more than what I rec'd. My past experience had been large juicy, steaming hot tenders w/a wonderful honey mustard sauce. That was NOT the case this time. Let's start w/the plate, it's shrunk since I visited before. The tenders were skinny, mostly batter, dry & actually chewy?? The honey mustard was loaded w/spicy dijon mustard now, not a fan. The shrimp were overcooked, rubbery and not especially hot when they arrived. Not to the loaded baked potato. It was warm, NOT hot, and it was also overcooked to the point lots of potato was stuck to the skin. They charged $1.00 more for bacon, & no more than they put on it I shd hv made them take that off the bill. AND, it was SO SMALL it wld hv fit in the palm of my hand. The best tasting item I had was the ranch dressing. Ridiculous to think that's the best thing I consumed while there. Not wasting my time or money on them again."
"It was great. The reason I didn't give a 5 star is because they were out of certain sandwiches on the menu. Otherwise, the place was fairly busy. Service was excellent. The place looked amazing. And the food we got was perfect. If you send me the Reuben I wanted, this may move to a 5 star review."
"I had a very good experience! I used the app to order. I set it for ASAP pick up. Because of the holiday and probably would be busy, I was still able to show up early. The food was ready by the promised time. The food was all there. By the time I got the food home, it was still hot and fresh! Thanks so much for a wonderful meal!"

Why should you visit second line? Our waitress was very nice. The bartender is great and again very willing to please. The food was excellent. If you are in Memphis go and give it a try. It's totally worth it. Who knew you could put whip cream on chicken and waffles? I sure didn't but it works. Greens, grits, bbq shrimp and gumbo. Get them all!

Total old-school southern potluck vibes. There wasn't an item on my tray that didn't remind me of good food from many years ago. As such, as a kid/teen I would have never wanted to go out to eat something like this as it wouldn't have seemed to be "restaurant food" to me but now, years later--hey, I don't cook like this and I don't frequent potlucks. So this is comfort food, nostalgia food, and food crafted with care. It's served cafeteria style, but everything was piping hot. I noticed some items (entrees, none of the sides as all seemed to be present) listed on the day's menu that weren't on the buffet and as first-time diners here we weren't sure if you could actually still order them or if once they're gone, they're gone. Anyway--I had the fried chicken (breast quarter), mashed potatoes and gravy, carrot souffle, mac'n'cheese, and a slice of jalapeno cornbread. My spouse had the same (minus the gravy and cornbread) and we split a piece of the fudge pie. Really great mac, the carrot souffle was interesting (but good) and tasted/textured as if sweet potatoes might be mixed in as well. Cornbread had great flavor. Chicken was piping hot. That fudge pie reminded me of the kind my grandmother made when I was little and I've not had it since. If I make it back, I want to try the hot chicken and the okra. Service was super friendly and welcoming.Would be a great carryout spot if I lived in the neighborhood. Only "negatives" I can think of-- totally get not wanting to use real glassware and plates in a location like this, but truly hate styrofoam. Something else would be nice. Prices--maybe a tic (10%?) higher than anticipated (without waitservice, etc.) but hopefully that just means staff are paid fairly. We were so hungry and hate so quickly I completely forgot to take a photo, other than the cup after the plates were clean!

I ordered takeout from here. I received everything I ordered. I enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken Wrappers. Plus, I brought the Chicken Tenders with Fries and broccoli. I felt the broccoli should been seasoned more other than that the dinner plates were good. The croissants were nice, I thought there would be more honey drizzle. The dessert I brought was the carrot cake and I enjoyed it. I just wouldn't mind having the candied pecans on the side. Overall, I would return here.

Don't tell my grandma I said this because she will get mad at me. The cinnamon rolls were some of the best I ever had, the vibes were relaxing and comfortable, and I was tempted to lick my plate clean bc everything was so good. Go immediately

Pretty average BBQ spot, nothing to really dislike about it but there was nothing that really stood out. The host looked annoyed when we arrived (granted, we were a big party like an hour and a half before closing), but the manager and our waitress were nice. Brisket was a bit bland, pork was good but I think I enjoyed the sides a but more. Overall, it was just ok but definitely not against going again.

This is (more-or-less) a cafeteria-style restaurant on the grounds of the Hermitage (Andrew Jacksons home) near Nashville, so I'm rating it as such. We found the food good and the prices reasonable. The menu changes daily. We went on a Thursday so BBQ was available. This was good, but IMHO wouldn't compete with the best here in Memphis. My wife got the fried chicken which she declared good. For those lucky/smart enough to visit on Fridays, you get to try their Ox-tail!

"This place is straight fire!!!! The lady at the hotel recommended we check this place out and I'm glad we did. This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time and we will definitely be back again. Oh yeah and make sure you get the ribs"
"Legends is the holy grail for BBQ. Look no further for the best ribs in town or anywhere else in Tennessee or beyond. I have been here MULTIPLE times a week since moving to Clarksville in June. Every single visit is a testament to their unwavering commitment to quality and freshness.First off, let's talk ribs.I love ribs and am very picky when it comes to fresh ribs. I can tell the difference between fresh and leftover. These are the epitome of freshness. The dedication to freshness, tenderness and the perfectly balanced smoky savory seasoned flavors is in every bite. Every visit at Legends is a celebration of rib perfection. The consistency is truly remarkable. Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, you can count on the ribs, and the entire menu being exactly as you remember: fresh, tender, and bursting with flavor. It's rare to find a place that nails it every single time, but this joint does just that.In addition to the legendary ribs, the menu offers a variety of other mouthwatering options that are all equally impressive. Their other amazing bbq plates, gourmet bbq burgers, signature sandwiches, taco's, pizza's, and desserts are all packed with flavor and generosity as well as all the delicious sides. And let's not forget the service or crew. They are all more than just employees; their exceptional service and their passion for BBQ artistry shows their commitment to their craft. They make it all the more memorable, which keeps you coming back for more.A Special shoutout to Jeremy. His expert recommendations ensure you're well taken care of. He makes the perfect BBQ brisket pizza. It's a mouthwatering masterpiece, combining the smoky, tender brisket with melty cheese and a perfectly crispy crust. It's an innovative twist that's both comforting and exciting. And then there's Madison's warm welcome, and who whips up the most divine banana pudding. Creamy smooth with just the right amount of wafers and topped high with whipped cream that is the perfect way to end a hearty Legends BBQ meal. You're well taken care of from the moment you walk in until you're rolling out the door, stuffed and satisfied.Madison, Jeremy and all the top-notch dedicated crew keep doing what you do best! You all rock!"
"7.30 was my very 1st time here. I had heard about it from acquaintances. I personally don't prefer to cook on Fridays or Saturdays so I decided to give them a try. It was good. I am picky about my soul food being from Memphis. I had the Fried chicken, cabbage and Mac n cheese. I got my husband the ribs, cabbage and Mac and cheese. He was at work so I took him his food and told him to let me know how it was. The plate was gone within 5 minutes of me dropping it off. Will definitely keep them in my food arsenal."

"This place looked pretty grungy but I felt like that was part of the look. It's cafeteria style service. I got the 3 sides - greens, candied yams and greens. I wasn't blown away by the sides. I tried my friends catfish which was really good but other than that, not impressed."
"The dining area is absolutely gorgeous. The food is made to order, and the staff members are friendly and professional. Everything was tasty, and I look forward to trying something from the lunch/brunch menu."
"I give this one 5 stars without hesitation. The portions were just right. Two hamburger steaks instead of just one. I could instantly tell the gravy was made from the meat and that no part of it came from a box or a bag. One bite in that beef and I knew it was cooked in an iron skillet. You just can't get that flavor any other way. The mashed potatoes were homemade. The tea was awesome. If I had one thing to complain about, it would be that the roll came straight out of the bag. I got over it. This meal hit the spot! Nothing like the last place that was here."
"We had a great experience. Payton was very attentive. We were in a little bit of a hurry and our food arrived quick and was super fresh!!!"
"Went there on a Friday night after shopping. We had catfish, okra, French fries, a grilled ham & cheese. The hits were the catfish and okra. Catfish were large fresh fillets covered in a batter breading and deep fried. While plain (could use more seasoning and heat) they were perfectly cooked. Yeah!"
