"This is southern cooking at its best when it comes to "out of the pond food." We had shrimp, catfish and frog legs. All were the best we've had in a long long while. But the real surprise treat was the regular side fixins! The hush puppies and white beans they bring out were soooooo good. Can't wait to come back."

"Legends is the holy grail for BBQ. Look no further for the best ribs in town or anywhere else in Tennessee or beyond. I have been here MULTIPLE times a week since moving to Clarksville in June. Every single visit is a testament to their unwavering commitment to quality and freshness.First off, let's talk ribs.I love ribs and am very picky when it comes to fresh ribs. I can tell the difference between fresh and leftover. These are the epitome of freshness. The dedication to freshness, tenderness and the perfectly balanced smoky savory seasoned flavors is in every bite. Every visit at Legends is a celebration of rib perfection. The consistency is truly remarkable. Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, you can count on the ribs, and the entire menu being exactly as you remember: fresh, tender, and bursting with flavor. It's rare to find a place that nails it every single time, but this joint does just that.In addition to the legendary ribs, the menu offers a variety of other mouthwatering options that are all equally impressive. Their other amazing bbq plates, gourmet bbq burgers, signature sandwiches, taco's, pizza's, and desserts are all packed with flavor and generosity as well as all the delicious sides. And let's not forget the service or crew. They are all more than just employees; their exceptional service and their passion for BBQ artistry shows their commitment to their craft. They make it all the more memorable, which keeps you coming back for more.A Special shoutout to Jeremy. His expert recommendations ensure you're well taken care of. He makes the perfect BBQ brisket pizza. It's a mouthwatering masterpiece, combining the smoky, tender brisket with melty cheese and a perfectly crispy crust. It's an innovative twist that's both comforting and exciting. And then there's Madison's warm welcome, and who whips up the most divine banana pudding. Creamy smooth with just the right amount of wafers and topped high with whipped cream that is the perfect way to end a hearty Legends BBQ meal. You're well taken care of from the moment you walk in until you're rolling out the door, stuffed and satisfied.Madison, Jeremy and all the top-notch dedicated crew keep doing what you do best! You all rock!"
"7.30 was my very 1st time here. I had heard about it from acquaintances. I personally don't prefer to cook on Fridays or Saturdays so I decided to give them a try. It was good. I am picky about my soul food being from Memphis. I had the Fried chicken, cabbage and Mac n cheese. I got my husband the ribs, cabbage and Mac and cheese. He was at work so I took him his food and told him to let me know how it was. The plate was gone within 5 minutes of me dropping it off. Will definitely keep them in my food arsenal."
"This place is great. It has excellent food the atmosphere is perfect if you enjoy friendly, hands on owners who make you feel like family. This is a B & B that is open for dinner service on Fri and Sat evenings. This is the owner's family home and the historical touches are detailed and amazing. Call in advance for reservations. The menu is online as it is a set menu each night (they are very accommodating of substitutions)."
"JJ"s diner (formerly Leah's Downtown Diner), is still in the family. "JJ" is Leah's sister The newer version of this local diner has a scaled down menu. It is basically the favorite menu items most people enjoy. We enjoyed our recent meal. It was a pulled pork dinner with mashed potatoes, slaw and beans. It was good!!We will be back!!!"
"Located at the corner of Fillmore and Waldron streets in historic downtown Corinth. Formerly a coffee shop for many years at this location now filled with bakery sweets, coffee and comfort food with sandwiches and sweet treats. This is a branch of Sweet Sensations located in the SoCo district a few blocks away. With more space and tables for dining, this a convenient spot for lunch downtown. Their cakes and pies are always first class."
"Went there on a Friday night after shopping. We had catfish, okra, French fries, a grilled ham & cheese. The hits were the catfish and okra. Catfish were large fresh fillets covered in a batter breading and deep fried. While plain (could use more seasoning and heat) they were perfectly cooked. Yeah!"
"Great BBQ (I had the Brisket Sandwich), real Southern Hospitality, wonderful service at a reasonable price. It's bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside."
"I had a very good experience! I used the app to order. I set it for ASAP pick up. Because of the holiday and probably would be busy, I was still able to show up early. The food was ready by the promised time. The food was all there. By the time I got the food home, it was still hot and fresh! Thanks so much for a wonderful meal!"
"The dining area is absolutely gorgeous. The food is made to order, and the staff members are friendly and professional. Everything was tasty, and I look forward to trying something from the lunch/brunch menu."
"I chose Cheddars for a belated b'day dinner for myself & will not be going back. My server Cameron was ok, but certainly nothing to brag about. He took my food order & left the table w/out taking my drink order & had to come back for that.I already knew what I wanted when he finally came to the table due to him being a bit slow. I was early as far as dinner goes, it was about 4:30 when I arrived. I chose the chicken tenders & fried shrimp combo w/a loaded baked potato & side salad. The reason I chose this dinner was due to the chicken tenders I'd had in the past, & was expecting so much more than what I rec'd. My past experience had been large juicy, steaming hot tenders w/a wonderful honey mustard sauce. That was NOT the case this time. Let's start w/the plate, it's shrunk since I visited before. The tenders were skinny, mostly batter, dry & actually chewy?? The honey mustard was loaded w/spicy dijon mustard now, not a fan. The shrimp were overcooked, rubbery and not especially hot when they arrived. Not to the loaded baked potato. It was warm, NOT hot, and it was also overcooked to the point lots of potato was stuck to the skin. They charged $1.00 more for bacon, & no more than they put on it I shd hv made them take that off the bill. AND, it was SO SMALL it wld hv fit in the palm of my hand. The best tasting item I had was the ranch dressing. Ridiculous to think that's the best thing I consumed while there. Not wasting my time or money on them again."

You know those days where you wake up and think, I really want some good comfort food tonight?? Curbside Casseroles is there for you! I just found out about this place a couple of months ago, and I've now ordered from them 3 times. Every time I go to pick up my order, there is a line down the street because they are so popular!!This isn't a sit down restaurant, but a drive up window where you can pick up pre-made and frozen meals to bring home. Order ahead online or order at the window. They are only open 3 days a week - Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. But, you can order online the morning that you want to pick up food, and they are usually ready with your order in an hour or two. They have several main meals made every week as well as weekly specials. Most of their casseroles also come in three different sizes (small, medium, or large) depending on how many people you are feeding. Also, there are very clear cooking instructions on every casserole.Favorites that I have tried:- Almond Chicken (their main seller, and you will see why when you taste this delicious meal. On top of a bed of rice, this creamy chicken dish with almonds in it is sooooo good!!)- Chicken Spaghetti- Chicken and dumplings (not a regular menu item, but if they have this on their weekly special, I highly recommend)- Cheesy mac side- Loaded cauliflower sideMost of the dishes come frozen, so you can buy a bunch to stock up your kitchen and just eat all week! I'm going to keep ordering from them so I can try more. There are so many different options on the menu.

The food here is delicious every time we eat here. Always great service with a very friendly staff. I love the hush puppies and pepper relish for the white beans!! Gosh is great of course, but the steak and chicken tenders are great as well.

Absolutely fabulous BBQ Joint! Hands Down The Best You'll find in town! & our new Family Favorite ! Incredible family atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door! So welcoming and knowledgeable about all their unique creations ! Our daughter struggles to sit still when we are eating out and she even made herself a friend with the owner and chef playing peek a boo while we finished our meal. He gave her crayons to color and she was set! Legends forever has us on their regular lists now !

Stopped a Mallard's Family Restaurant for lunch after visiting Country Stars graves. I ordered a cheeseburger and sides and it was a fine cheeseburger. Fresh, tasty, perfectly cooked, great service and the place is a place from where you find food places in a small town. My Dad would loved this place. I'll be back.

"Remarkable food and exceptional customer service! When I saw all the five-star reviews I had to go see what the fuss was about. The reviews are well-earned!Let's cut to the chase. You're reading this review because you found The Candied Rib Company. Go try their food! You will not be disappointed. In fact, I think it is safe to say that even with all their fantastic reviews, your expectations will be exceeded. Trust me on this.Note that this is mostly a takeout spot, though they have a couple of tables to sit at while you wait, so... you know... Or you could just eat in your car or take it home. Worth it either way!I live about a half hour away, but finally made the journey this past weekend. I wish I had visited them sooner! This is mostly a BBQ restaurant, I would say, but their menu is a little varied so it is sort of hard to categorize them. But they are so good at what they do!I had the Baby Back Ribs, sloppy style (though you can also get them dry rubbed without sauce). They were cooked to absolute perfection, moist and tender and delicious. I had their potato salad, even though I knew it wasn't the style I normally prefer, and I was very impressed. My wife got the Burnt Ends, which were also cooked to perfection and smokey and flavorful. Yes, of course I her for sharing with me! She also got the Honey-Glazed Broccoli, which was phenomenal. And that's coming from a guy who normally skips the vegetables and goes right for the meat. This side dish is simple, and yet executed with perfection. Charred and a little sweet with the light glaze, and cooked perfectly. The owners are a great team, running a great business and clearly having fun at it. And they make the experience of being a customer fun too.I can't say enough about what a great experience we had at The Candied Rib Company. Give them a try and you will definitely become a repeat customer."
"Amazing food to be found here. Whether you come in for a sandwich at lunch, or a full meal at dinner, the food is always 5 star. The service is always good. This is not a check back, check down, done place, it is full service with several check backs. Highly recommend."
"First off, the service was wonderful. Clearly, the ladies working here know what they are doing, and they make you feel at home.I had the corn dog, which had a great batter on it. My salad came in a nice sized bowl, with tomato, cheese, and hard-boiled eggs. It was topped with fried chicken but the coating on the chicken was thinner than I expected. Still tasty though. The rest of the table had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and Texas toast. The Texas toast could have used some butter. The batter on the chicken fried steak was perfectly done, light and crispy. Everyone at the table raved about the gravy.Sweet tea was...really sweet. I had the unsweetened tea, which i enjoyed. They offer a half sweet and half unsweet mix if you ask for it. I had the buttermilk pie, which is basically a chess pie. It was one of the best chess pies I've had on this trip.Bathrooms were super clean, which is important to me.Bottom line, this is southern comfort food, done right. Highly recommend if you're ever out this way."
"Let me tell you something..... I have not experienced proper chicken tenders until I've come to this place. These were phenomenal the baked bean. The coleslaw was amazing as well. The chicken tenders were so juicy with a nice crisp on the outside and had amazing sauce to dip it in. When I head back to the West Coast, I'm gonna be dreaming of this plate right here. If you happen to be staying in Memphis or happen to be driving through, I highly recommend you trying a plate here. The staff is great, it's a nice little hole in the wall kind of joint. The ambience is nice as well, but the food was fantastic, talking about my experience is making me hungry all over again!I highly recommend!"
"We were starving so we decided to try this place out. Boy We should have known due to the limited people dining that this place was not good. When you think of diner this is not the place. Limit food choices here. This place is very slow, there is a limit use of activity that goes on. My coworker order chicken wings from the menu but was told only chicken strips were served as wings. Crazy right! I was expecting the place to smell like a restaurant but no it didn't. Also there were dirty dishes left on the tables that were not in use. The restroom wasn't the best might I add. My coworker told the waitress the toilet was broken and she was instructed to stick her hand in the back of the bowl to pull the flap to flush the toilet. Yuck. I don't think I'll ever be back if I'm ever here again."
"This was a solid little lunch cafe. The food was delicious. Service was good. Inside was quaint and homey. I had the club quiche. It was delicious. Great flavor! The rolls are also amazing. I think Texas Roadhouse has a pretty good roll experience. These blow those out of the water. Dessert options were extensive. And looked delicious. But, I did not try them. Overall, great little local option with a fun menu."
"So glad we found this gem! Great music and ambience and drinks to start with and the food was incredible! I had the fried catfish and collard greens. All perfectly cooked and seasoned and fresh and delicious. My date had the stuffed turkey leg with dirty rice and shrimp and it was spectacular! Tender smoked turkey falling off the bone and smothered in delicious dirty rice and huge shrimp and some kind of wonderful cream sauce. It was more than both of us could eat. The folks were super nice too. Can't wait to go again when I'm back in town!"
"Put this place on the map. It's tasty. Nestled in a strip mall type layout besides a church & a tractor supply. Do not let that be a concern. This luncheonette styled place will charm you. The cauliflower, greens, and salad are so good. I mean it. Were so good, I immediately texted my Nashville kin folk. Yelp reviews are on point. Food looks better in person and tastes really great. Of note, spoons are on request. Now I'm ruined! Nothing touches this spot in Houston. I'll have to return to Nashville soon.Wishing Southern Spoon only the best!"
"Excellent " off the beaten path " find for Memphis area travelers looking for soul food. This family establishment has a real down home feel and the food is great. I had catfish and a side of fried chicken livers (couldn't resist) with rich white beans and ham, juicy turnip greens, jalapeño cornbread and an Arnold Palmer in a giant mason jar. The place was packed on an early Saturday eve but the 15 min wait for a table was worth it. Then the 20 min wait for the food was worth it too. The servers were all attentive, affable and helpful. My dinning neighbors friendly. Come hungry and with enough time to slow down to a more "Southern" speed. It's a popular place and really the only restaurant for miles. One thing I couldn't help but notic was the demographic. It was 99.9% white. I felt a bit sad there wasn't a better representative mix of folk in the area, but I guess it was the lay of the land and due to a fair number of confederate flags on neighborhood porches. A shame IMHYO. This food would warm the hearts of us all. I do believe that's why they call it "Soul Food. "I'll definitely be routing back here again!"
"I was fortunate to have their food at a catered event. Awesome veggie pizza. Great flavor. Authentic crust. Can't wait to go back."
"While I landed at 4 stars, my true rating would be 3.5, and here is why...Nostalgic southern spot in Franklin next to the Chick-Fil-A. I really wanted to love this spot, as a Meat & 3 speaks to my soul...however, I was underwhelmed here. I popped in for lunch and ordered the Fried Catfish with fried okra, mac n cheese, and rice casserole. What struck me initially was the portion size - only one piece of catfish, which was below average in size. While the sides were decently portioned, the main dish left a bit to be desired. The catfish and okra were disappointingly dry and chewy, lacking the crispiness and tenderness that I look for in fried southern classics. The mac n cheese was sadly watery and thin, however the chicken, broccoli and rice casserole was solid, and of course the sweet tea was sweet! Service was stellar, as you would expect at a southern joint. While my first go was a bit underwhelming, I am comitted to stopping back by for another round of meats and veggies...as I don't give up on a good southern spot so easily!"
"Food was tasty but service left much to be desired. My party was only 6 people deep (3 which were kids) and the waitress did not seem to be able to keep up, kept forgetting items and failed to tell us things about the menu that she should have"
"Very very good! Best I've had in a while! Authentic flavors with the hint of lime and onions. The fried rice was amazing. Simple but flavorful."
"First visit but not the last! Party of 5 so we got a great overview. First get on the waitlist it works great. Second we sat outside as weather was fantastic Sunday after an Ole Miss win! The inside looked busy but nice. Bathrooms were clean. Kitchen was dated, busy and clean. Staff was fantastic. Lots of parking. But who cares about all that how is the Food?I had the Creole omelette with sweet potatoes hash. The omelette was out of this world, very tasty. Hash was meh but I was not looking for anything shocking. The biscuit was fantastic ( I ordered 2 more) I got the coffee and milk cold brew. It was good. Two of my guests loved the Vietnamese coffee ( very sweet) one enjoyed a scramble bowl and said it was like a deconstructed omelette with biscuit. The other got Avocado toast and loved it. I was struck by the very generous serving and vibrant colors. My wife got the bacon and French toast, it looked fantastic and she loved every bite. Her greatest joy was the little kick the bacon had with a sweet finish. My son is the odd duck fried chicken and fries with hot chocolate. He ate everything and said he enjoyed it but honestly he was more about the table of toys they had out to keep waiting kids occupied. All in all great choice, 5 star for breakfast or brunch. Great and attentive service! Highly recommend.Total spend before tip for five was 98 bucks but we were all very satisfied and left happy."
"Love this place!! Its inside a strip mall so it's kinda hard to locate from the street.. Very professional staff and courteous.. The food is awesome here my co workers and myself really enjoyed the buffet and tea..."
"Me and my girlfriend went there last night to eat and it was absolutely amazing. The waiting staff was on point and very attentive. The atmosphere was great. Our food was incredible. We will definitely be back. My girlfriend ordered the maple glazed pork chop and she said it was the best pork chop she's ever had I took a bite and had to agree. I was very surprised and impressed to see Ramen on the menu so I ordered the chicken Raman. And it was absolutely amazing. This is my third time eating here and so far this has been my favorite how different it is than something normal. PLEASE KEEP THE RAMAN ON THE MENU! The only thing I could say that was neutral or negative to me, was the live band playing I get it something different and out of the ordinary but we didn't like it, they were loud and we had to yell to communicate with each other and to the waitress. Regardless We will definitely be back!"
"Fun bar and bbq restaurant with live music, as found along Broadway, downtown Nashville. Loud fun and good food is what F&L is all about. It's a great stop following an afternoon of browsing the cute shops of lovely Franklin, Tennessee."
"It was great. The reason I didn't give a 5 star is because they were out of certain sandwiches on the menu. Otherwise, the place was fairly busy. Service was excellent. The place looked amazing. And the food we got was perfect. If you send me the Reuben I wanted, this may move to a 5 star review."
"I couldn't find this establishment. Did they close? Hoping someone can clarify it for me."
"Ok, nothing fancy. You need that? Stay in town. Vongee rock's. Homemade comfort food - Amazing homemade comfort food. Big portions, high quality ingredients, food the old school way, by a woman who loves to feed people. The quaint patio is awesome for what it is, just do not expect something you'd see in NYC. If this patio was on some bayou in LA the food would be the same, but the prices would be 10x as much. Best shrimp & grits. EVER, no one else is even close. On a scale of 1-10 Vongee's Shrimp & Grits is a 14.5!"
"This place looked pretty grungy but I felt like that was part of the look. It's cafeteria style service. I got the 3 sides - greens, candied yams and greens. I wasn't blown away by the sides. I tried my friends catfish which was really good but other than that, not impressed."
"A welcome addition to the area and a great option for home-style cooking. They don't take reservations but easily set up a few tables to handle our party of nine. Everyone enjoyed their meals from chicken tenders for the kids to ribs and catfish for the adults. Can't say enough good things about this family owned and operated restaurant."
"Our server was very sweet. The restaurant was clean and open. Nice selection on the menu. Deviled eggs were great. I like the pearl onion on top. We had the California chicken and smokehouse burger. We also had beignets for dessert. Everything we had was really good. Will be back."
