"The food was good. Not great. Pricing was good. Portions were good. Great location. The inside looks appropriate but lacks space. The service was top notch. The workers were aware of everything going on inside, and they constantly were cleaning and making sure the restaurant was tidy. I'd go back."
"While I landed at 4 stars, my true rating would be 3.5, and here is why...Nostalgic southern spot in Franklin next to the Chick-Fil-A. I really wanted to love this spot, as a Meat & 3 speaks to my soul...however, I was underwhelmed here. I popped in for lunch and ordered the Fried Catfish with fried okra, mac n cheese, and rice casserole. What struck me initially was the portion size - only one piece of catfish, which was below average in size. While the sides were decently portioned, the main dish left a bit to be desired. The catfish and okra were disappointingly dry and chewy, lacking the crispiness and tenderness that I look for in fried southern classics. The mac n cheese was sadly watery and thin, however the chicken, broccoli and rice casserole was solid, and of course the sweet tea was sweet! Service was stellar, as you would expect at a southern joint. While my first go was a bit underwhelming, I am comitted to stopping back by for another round of meats and veggies...as I don't give up on a good southern spot so easily!"

"Upon entering we were greeted by a smiling face, I believe her name was Brittany. Brittany was friendly and seemed to enjoy telling my buddy & I all about the menu. It was our first time but we seemed to be right at home. We both ordered the hand battered chicken tenders with hand cut fries. The fries were seasoned well. The chicken was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Whatever they marinate it with makes it almost melt in your mouth. We both agreed that we'd return for another visit. Order at the counter, take a number and grab a seat. They will bring your food, sauces and utensils right to you."
"While in Nashville we were looking for something that wasn't nearby where we were staying. We found this place on Yelp and ordered right before they were closing for pickup. We ended up getting their large chicken plate with a side of rice. The chicken was succulent and flavorful. It came with some original jerk watery sauce that was pours into our to go container. It was a little messy but we dealt. We also got it with mac n cheese which was too salty but still good. We got yellow rice and a side of rice and beans. The yellow rice was okay. We enjoyed the rice and beans one better. The girl at the counter was very nice. We ended up paying $17 for our meal which we though was very affordable considering how much meat we received. We just picked up our order and didn't dine there. The restaurant has its own parking lot which makes it easy."
"This unique place is a must-try in Nashville! Loved my perfectly crispy fried chicken in a waffle cone with a mac & cheese "cap" on top, served with a side of crinkle cut fries! They also have a fried cauliflower option. They have a neat covered front patio with picnic tables that have a hole built in to place your cone so you can easily set it down--you just won't want to because it's so delicious!"
"For such an unassuming looking place , the food is top notch. Clearly the cooks take great care with each dish. I had the shrimp skewer , asparagus and zucchini . All super tasty. The skewers were full of shrimp. Redfish was perfectly done as well. Would go back !"
"First time trying Hattie B's and they definitely didn't disappoint! I know they're hyped up as one of the best chicken joints in TN so I've been wanting to try them out.My husband and I weren't too hungry when we visited though so we decided to share the dirty bird fries. Highly recommend! It was a good amount for two adults. We both loved the fries with all the toppings it came with. Top notch as far as loaded fries go!Service was quick and the interior was kept very clean. We came on a Friday afternoon and it was packed! But surprisingly the wait wasn't too long for us to get our food.I will definitely be back to try more of their options! Their chicken sandwich and the desserts sound delightful!"
"If you're looking for hot chicken, look no more! We came here looking for some hot chicken sandwich and this place was worth it. There was no line and the wait was minimal since they make the food to order. I enjoyed it and the staff was super friendly!"
"Service was great. Food was DELICIOUS! Great music playing while we ate. Will be back again."
"This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite fried chicken places here in beautiful, family friendly, crime free, Memphis TN!It's got a seasoning that is unlike any other of the other cayenne heavy batters/sauces that are so familiar to me. The skin is crispy, light, and damn near perfect. The meat itself is amazingly juicy and so freaking full of flavor. It's really good! There is some kind of magic happening in that weird little kitchen as far as the chicken is concerned. I have never actually seen anyone frying chicken, but somehow it's always hot and stupid fresh. I suspect some ancient Korean Shamanism possibly. More on that later...The sides however need a blessing from something.... I have yet to find one that lives up to the chicken hype. Mac & Cheese was an extremely large nope. I'm not even sure wtf that was. Cheese dip, maybe??!! Fries are standard and just ok. Mashed potatoes are the best side, but really aren't that good. The little uniform bits of potato throws me way off. The folks working here cannot possibly be real. I have no way of expressing myself that will succinctly describe the voice and mannerisms of every person that I have spoken to. Some may say I do too many drugs, but I swear these folks are aliens or bots from the future sent to save you from mediocre chicken. Take note, future Adam.... I do love this fried chicken...'24 - 98/101"

Stopped by to say the quality of chicken and care taken at this place with your food is the best up and down Nolensville Rd. Six new chicken places joined us over the last 18months and somebody who's done numerous written food reviews (and a real chicken snob ) Have to say for sure the best quality chicken and service. Eat it there if you can as on long journey all breading gets soft and soggy from anywhere, but for me the perfect spot for on the way home or a pop in dollar for dollar!

Total old-school southern potluck vibes. There wasn't an item on my tray that didn't remind me of good food from many years ago. As such, as a kid/teen I would have never wanted to go out to eat something like this as it wouldn't have seemed to be "restaurant food" to me but now, years later--hey, I don't cook like this and I don't frequent potlucks. So this is comfort food, nostalgia food, and food crafted with care. It's served cafeteria style, but everything was piping hot. I noticed some items (entrees, none of the sides as all seemed to be present) listed on the day's menu that weren't on the buffet and as first-time diners here we weren't sure if you could actually still order them or if once they're gone, they're gone. Anyway--I had the fried chicken (breast quarter), mashed potatoes and gravy, carrot souffle, mac'n'cheese, and a slice of jalapeno cornbread. My spouse had the same (minus the gravy and cornbread) and we split a piece of the fudge pie. Really great mac, the carrot souffle was interesting (but good) and tasted/textured as if sweet potatoes might be mixed in as well. Cornbread had great flavor. Chicken was piping hot. That fudge pie reminded me of the kind my grandmother made when I was little and I've not had it since. If I make it back, I want to try the hot chicken and the okra. Service was super friendly and welcoming.Would be a great carryout spot if I lived in the neighborhood. Only "negatives" I can think of-- totally get not wanting to use real glassware and plates in a location like this, but truly hate styrofoam. Something else would be nice. Prices--maybe a tic (10%?) higher than anticipated (without waitservice, etc.) but hopefully that just means staff are paid fairly. We were so hungry and hate so quickly I completely forgot to take a photo, other than the cup after the plates were clean!

We absolutely love Maniac's! While we've been to the one in Brentwood several times, we typically go to the one in Mount Juliet that opened a few months ago!You cannot go wrong with this chicken! It always tastes fresh, and the batter is amazing! The chicken is always tender and comes out fresh and hot. Nothing is frozen here!! They recently added the Cajun Love Sandwich which is a Cajun seasoned grilled chicken sandwich with cheese, peppers, onions, tomato, and lettuce, and wow! What a great addition to the menu! I will 100% be getting that again. Be sure to try their H2 sauce which is a a blend of honey mustard and jalepeno! It's a bit on the spicy side, but nothing too spicy. I also love their fries! They remind me of fries I would get on the boardwalk back in Jersey! If you want a healthier option, they also do broiled tenders which I've had before. They're just as good! The Mount Juliet location has some seating, but not much. The owners of the Mt. Juliet location are the kindest and most hardworking folks out there! They are always welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend this place if you want some amazing chicken.

Lunch rush restaurant was super crowded but service was swift and efficiently. Dinner time is the best time to visit because it's not as much hustle and bustle and I think they do a better job presenting and servicing. Don't get me wrong they have great service all together but I felt dinner time they had more time to cater because during the lunch rush everything and everybody is in a hurry to get back to work and everything is just moving at a much faster pace. This place offers an array of healthy options to choose between.Be Blessed...

First time in Nashville and both my husband and I loved Hattie B's! While we've had our fair share of amazing fried chicken over the years, we were actually surprised at just how juicy and flavorful the chicken here was for a chain restaurant.Spicy lovers rejoice! I personally don't have a strong heat tolerance and found the medium level just the right level before it got too spicy, while the mild was the most enjoyable if I wanted to eat more. I can't imagine how hot the "Enthusiasts only" levels are.All of the food options are great, but the fried chicken sandwich would probably be my go-to. For sides, we unanimously loved the grits the most. The banana pudding was also a nice way to wrap up the meal, and it was loaded with bananas and topped with nilla wafers. The staff was friendly, and the location at the Factory at Franklin is nice - if we're back in the area, we'd happily make a stop here again.

This is a must go to place. The chicken was seasoned to perfection. The hot was perfect and not too spicy. The service was good. They let you know ahead it's freshly made to order. The atmosphere was family oriented. If you like fried chicken you need to try this spot.

"I dine here at least 3-4 times a week either for breakfast or lunch. I usually use the mobile app to place my order. But, it doesn't matter what time of day I visit, the staff is always friendly and makes sure you have a great experience. Sometimes you can catch franchise operator, John Francisco assisting his team as well. That's true leadership!OMG! The mac-n-cheese is so yummy. I add bacon to mine to make it even more yummy. That's the Southern girl in me. Bacon makes everything better! LOL This is a delicious meal all by itself. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out. I don't care what people say, Chick-fil-A delivers not only great food but great customer service."
"THE BEST chicken tenders I've ever had. Perfect in every way. Truly tender. Selection of sauce to boot! Variety of sides?!? The chop chop salad with rotisserie chicken was perfect portion with fresh mixed greens and strong blue cheese! This particular spot is extra great b/c of their staff. Everyone I've encountered here is dang delightful and great customer service. The set up is a blend of fast & casual dining, but the food is true quality. They have a bunch of TVs and a nice bar set up that seems perfect for game watching; and the bar is full service of beer and liquor with great selection. Or there's a drive through for your food to go!Bonus - Tuesday tenders special!Hoping one of these will open on the east side of town!"
"We stopped by Smokin Chicken this evening. It was our first time. We were not wow'ed by it. The customer service was great, food was fast, and the restaurant was clean!! The chicken was ok, yet dry. We did not care for the sides."
"4.5 ('cause it's great but not fancy)Can't believe my first review was over 2 years ago....and since then, we've returned time and time again --- service has been splendid....even when busy. The Drinks...Adults -- Some cocktails and a little wine plus 16 brews on tap....check their website or Untappd - Waldo's is a verified venue. (And Happy Hour as of now 3-6 2fer1 drafts) - bonus.)Kids -- Sweet Tea, Lemonade, Coke-a-Cola productsThe Food...Waldo's has chicken. And it is simply the BEST - hot, crispy, tender, moist, and beautifully seasoned. (Overnight brine is part of their secret.)Bone in Chicken can be ordered in several ways:--fire-roasted - moist and very-very tender served as a 1/4 or 1/2 chicken...or...--deep fried (hand-breaded) crispy, hot and tender 'n moist (Yowzaa!)...or...--Tenders (big-uns)...or...SandwichesThe Sauces...I thought the sauces were really good; slightly "thin" but beautifully spiced....from the simple and straightforward, paprika-laden "BBQ, to "plain"Ranch, Jalapeño Ranch, slightly spicy and creamy-smooth "ComeBack/Waldo's", which woke me up a bit, "Rooster" (a favorite I like to pour over my collard green side), or the hotter (ROCKET!) along with others: Blue Cheese, Buffalo, Herb Mayo, Honey-Mustard, Habanero Oil (hot), and White BBQ."Scratch" Sides...Bottom line... made in-house and delicious/flavorful: Mac & Cheese was gooey and creamy; Collards were flavorful but nothing exceptional, a few chunks of meat flavoring; Cole Slaw was sweet but simply ordinary; Shoestring Fries can be soggy by the time you get them home if you are ordering take out. Wedges hold up a bit better. Onion Rings ("upcharge") were crisp and tasty but rather oily. (You can see the "puddled" oil in my old photo.)Cheddar Biscuit - was a delicious, delightful mini-muffin...but not a true biscuit in my book. Still....call it what you want, it was yummy.Lots of other things on the menu. Great service staff and plenty of seating indoors.All-in-all....Glad you are in our "neighborhood" Waldos!"
"Is this the best wing/tender spot in Clarksville? I don't know. However, Fly Chicken Fly is making a solid run for it. I was in the beginning of what was guaranteed to be a long night when I realized I hadn't made plans for dinner. What's more, I hadn't even eaten anything since much earlier in the afternoon. My stomach was not happy with me. I looked around via Yelp and didn't care much for the usual offerings of Taco Bell, McDonald's, KFC, and Burger King. I didn't have time for the Huddle House. I needed something different. Enter Fly Chicken Fly. It needs to be said that this is not a place you frequent because you love the ambiance. I actually don't recommend eating in. Sanitation isn't a problem. There's simply not much space. There was an older gentleman that handled my order. He was most courteous and respectful over the phone and in person. I have no qualms about recommending this place and I will most certainly be returning in the very near future. I had a large order of "fries" (potato wedges) and spicy garlic strips. The fries were fresh and well seasoned. No issues here. The strips were very moist and sizable. I need to get more flavors on the menu before commenting on them. Chicken is offered in the form of wings, strips, drumsticks and even the whole bird! The prices appeared to be very fair to me. I left a decent tip but now that I've eaten the food, I feel like I should've left even more. I saw desserts and other offerings that were not on the menu. They appeared to be Korean dishes. I'll be trying those as well in time. I feel like this place has potential. It's right across the street from Gate 4, so one doesn't have to travel far at all just to get good food. I ordered mine en route and it was ready by the time I got there."
"The smoked chicken, potato salad, and fried okra was easily the best plate I've had in years. Bbq sauce was just right and the people working there were lovely. I can't wait to go back."
"If you like in your seafood boil, you've gotta try having a seafood boil in your The last time I ate here, they were at the Commons and the Mac & Cheese would have had you writing an ode to cheese. Now they're on Ft. Campbell near the 101st and the menu is still amazing.I went for the veggie tater & left with a Raging Cajun Tater I have no regrets! The flavors are bold and the portion/price is just right. The service was quick and the music was enjoyable during my visit. The seating is booth only, but you can order to-go if you want to get comfortable. Ladies wear your party on the bottom and business at the top (elastic waist) pantsThe only thing I missed was my tea, but the lemonade is bursting with flavor. They had strawberry, cherry, and Oreo cheesecake selections, but I probably won't try another flavor. I only had a bite of the . Everything is conveniently packaged to eat some now and take some for later if you dine in"
"Really really good chicken tenders. The fries were great too! They have a nice patio out back too!"
"Fast service. It was clean. Looked for chicken gizzards everywhere and they had them and they were pretty good. I just happened to see it because it's tucked away by a dentist's office."
"I stopped at this little gem for a quick snack. It did not disappoint at all. I got the garlic Parmesan wings and a side of Mac and cheese. The wings were cooked just right. I cannot stand soft wings yuck...and these wings were cooked to perfection. I was so satisfied that I forgot to order cheesecake before I left. I sat outside on the patio and my view was peaceful."
"I've been craving a good ole fashioned Chinese Buffet for a very long time. I'm shocked that this place only has 2 stars...it's a Chinese buffet....lol... not sure what these other people expect. Salty, luke warm food is expected and was exactly what I was craving. My favorite thing at any buffet is chicken on a stick and the little sugary dessert bun things. No idea what those are, but did I eat 4? ....yes. Staff and servers were great! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Could the place be a little more updated and a smidge cleaner? For sure. But I really enjoyed my time here. Oh and this place is very cheap....we paid $27 for 2 buffets & 2 sodas!"
"This crown jewel, shines bright amongst a small selection of well known places who serves up chicken dinners and combos, preparing classic favorites with quality, we can rely on since 1977. My recient visit says it all. Upon arriving to this location I took notice of their dining room & how they've taken pride in the cleanliness of the stores interior from their clean dining room area refreshment station & cashier station. As soon as I walk toward the counter ready to place my order my cashier welcomed me with a friendly attitude ready to take my order. She had really made my day giving me exactly what I ordered & didn't miss one side or piece of chicken. Everything's now perfect for a enjoyable dining experience I've experienced every time when patronizing a Bojangles. The minute I bit into my breast it was absolutely crunchy moist& perfectly spiced. Popeyes & the Colonel don't even come close. Their signature sides are absolutely to die for I always order their Mac and Cheese Mashed Potatoes and Dirty Rice. I also enjoy their biscuits over Popeye's or KFC as they don't tend to live up to my expectations or quality being Bojangles make theirs from scratch. If you're on a road trip or happen to live close by this location is always worth stopping by or pulling off the interstate for a stop. #It'sBoTimeBe sure to like them on FB and tell a friend.Dickson locationhttps://www.facebook.com/BojanglesDickson2001/Nationwide Fan Pagehttps://www.facebook.com/Bojangles/"
"I still LOVE this place They answer the phone so that I can place my order... (most places just let it ring or put you on hold for 3 hours) & everything you order is FRESH!I tried the ch*ru tea today made w/ Mediterranean tea leaves, ginger root, & real honey and let me tell you how much my tastebuds looooveedddd it! The authenticity of the natural ingredients seeps through every drop and it is downright delicious! Stop on by & get you a taste of Chicago!"
"Ohhh my goodness! It's been years since I've had a good chicken place to order from! I am the self proclaimed #1 customer! My favorites are the garlic Parmesan and the honey gold! Don't forget the uhhhmazin fries! I order weekly and tell others about this place. Try it! You won't be disappointed!"
"Great new spot in town. Super quick and efficient while having a different but better taste than other spots in town. Waldo's management is also very awesome and friendly, they took care of us at Best Buy and really won all of us over."
