My girlfriend and I came here a while ago. Dry peppered fish and fried string beans are the way to go. The fish is fresh and flaky with a beautiful mix of different spices. It has a nice kick with dried peppers, pepper corn, and turmeric. The string beans are charred to perfection with a little nice crunch. Will definitely be back.

Came here for happy hour and this place is so cute and very insta worthy. It was very dark inside with music blasting. I would recommend this for a girls night or even date night. Going during the day felt weird as soon as I stepped outside to see it was sunny.Service was great and the food was outstanding. We ordered the kimchee fried rice, spring rolls and edamame. Highly recommend the rice and edamame! The fried wontons that is complimentary was also tasty and addicting.Drinks were fun but not strong. We each had 3 drinks and they were so easy to drink, but wasn't strong at all.I'd still return for a girls night during dinner before going out or another special dinner occasion!

I made reservations here to have dinner with my girlfriend - my hubby had come here a few months prior for a private dinner and raved about it so I had to experience for myself ;-)When we arrived to the restaurant at the same time but my friend had a hard time finding parking and drove around for about 10 mins before she gave in and parked in a lot ($30); I was able to find street parking almost directly in front of the restaurant (note: we dined here on a Friday night). We were seated immediately but it did take us a little while to order because we were caught up in conversation and the chic, chill vibe of the restaurant. Once we finally made up our minds, we ordered cheesesteak eggs rolls and shrimp bao buns for appetizers and shared an entree of seafood fried rice; for drinks we both ordered mocktails - I ordered a Purple Haze and my friend ordered Yummy Yummy Lychee. The food was served with good presentation and was tasty - it was the perfect temperature and seasoned well (not over seasoned). The service was pretty good also; our waiter checked on us multiple times and in the one instance when we couldn't find him, a server attended to our request. We both had a very enjoyable evening and this was a great wind down for the work week. The music adds to the atmosphere as well as the lighting. This place is great for a girls' night out or a date night or an I just need to get out night (lol). I highly recommend... Tip: As this spot is trendy AND there is a photographer on-site that walks around (pictures are for purchase), I recommend that you dress to feel your best ;-)

I always enjoy Mei Mei when I go. I've gone for seated dinner 3 times & sat at the bar a few times for Happy Hour as well. The food is consistently good. I love that they usually have a DJ when I've dined. My favorite items to order are the Miso Caeser salad & the Chinese Garden cocktail.

To keep it short, the ambiance is great. The decor and setting is very IG-Worthy.My group was seated in the basement before others arrived for the brunch party, and it was freezing down there. It was a good 15-20 minutes or so before we felt warmth. I don't know if it was from the other patrons or they turned on the heat, but it was so unpleasant at first. With the added darkness, it was giving "dungeon" down there. I thought it was cool to have the room mostly to ourselves at first, but I wasn't feeling "the lair."Good times were had as the DJ really got going and a crowd came for the RnB brunch. I was able to enjoy myself after a while, even though we felt distant being all the way downstairs. The brunch host did come to us a few times though.Food was good. I had the churro waffles and those were amazing. They weren't really hot, but still good. The sausage was sausage and the breakfast potatoes were adequate. Our table shared cheese fries and pasta topped with short rib meat. An interesting combo but it was good. It was a little weird not to see the full menu and be able to hold it in our hands. We had to read off our phones and then some things the waitress had to read off her little machine because it wasn't even on the electronic menu. They need to get that together, I think. Still, overall it was OK, it was fun. I'd return.

Walked in to meet my daughter for brunch, couldn't help but notice the beautiful dimly ambiance of this place, the decor was inviting. The Dj was doing his thing spinning the tunes and vibing with Usher (my favorite artist) Upon being seated, shortly after the photographer stopped by our table to see if we wanted pictures taken. She took about four shots they were beautiful we purchased two. Our waitress came and took our We ordered the mimosa flights and I ordered the lamb chops, scrambled eggs, potatoes and she ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict with potatoes. The lamb chops were thickly cut, but a little bland, eggs and potatoes were good. My daughters order was good but her eggs Benedict was over cooked. So nothing big to complain about wld definitely go back cause the food and vibe was good. Our server was nice and very attentive to our needs.

We were celebrating my daughters b-day and my son and his GF suggested we try out Mei Mei. As soon as you entered, you're greeted with the hostess who will ask if your entire party is here. If not, they won't seat you. All of five of our guests were in attendance. We were escorted and seated in a booth in the middle of the restaurant facing the bar which was fine. This way we could see the beautiful décor from left to right. To our left was beautiful cherry blossoms hanging from the ceiling surrounded with Chinese lanterns. Along the walls were beautiful Asian artwork. The place is dark inside but not too dark that we couldn't read the menu which is key for us. Once seated we were greeted by Cali but found out a few minutes in that another waiter (a guy..can't remember his name) would be our waiter. Our son and his GF remembered him from last time they were here. He was just as gracious and knowledgeable as Cali. We ordered a round of drinks: Bad n Boozie Sangrias (2) and a Hibiscus Margarita. Drinks were decorated pretty, cold and just enough alcohol. Our apps and entrees which btw are shareable for five people: Mei Mei Bao, Taiwanese Pepper Steak, Pineapple Thai Shrimp, Black Pepper chicken and Seafood Fried Rice. For dessert, the waiter knowing it was our daughters bday had the staff come out with a slice of cake with sparkles. Very sweet. As many stated in the reviews, the food is pricey, but everything was well worth it. From the décor, the music which was not loud that we couldn't hear ourselves talk, to the staff and food was excellent. As far as the photos, we were able to take multiple pictures with our own camera. When the photographer came over, she took our photos and came back with the pics in frames. She asked if we wanted to purchase and we kindly said no. We were never pressed to purchase anything. We also never felt pressed on the maximum time limit at the table.I would also state parking is difficult however there is a parking garage a few feet away. Its costly but again worth the hassle of trying to find a park in Philly. Overall, a great experience celebrating our daughters bday. The food, décor, music and service were well worth the price.

Ambience is nice but a tad to dark. I'm a fan of the dim lightening but this was a little too dim for me. Especially when transitioning from a bright sunny day outside to inside the restaurant, it takes some time for your eyes to adjust. At times I had a difficult time seeing the details of what I was eating because the lighting was so dim. Also the background music was nice but too loud. At times I had trouble hearing the person sitting next to me because of it. Our waitress Cali was very sweet and pleasant.I liked that everything tasted super fresh. Lobster Fried rice was plentiful but needed a little something to enhance the flavor. The food is good and so are the portions but keep in mind your bill will be very high. The prices are astronomical. It's also noteworthy for you to double check your receipt. I ordered lobster fried rice and the receipt price differed from the menu price. Also they added an additional service fee as well as an automatic 18% gratuity. Also as an optional keepsake, they took several photos of us at our table and wanted $20 per photo. No thanks. Also they only provide chopsticks or forks to eat with. No spoons!

The service was so bad! It started off good until the orders were put in. The waitress literally skipped over us. I guess because it was a reservation with kids. My lamb chops were made (not brought out) more than 40 mins after the rest of the food. I had to stop the waitress and ask her if she forgot to put the order in. When she returned she said "oh the kitchen forgot about them because of the private party downstairs". I even had a to go box and she didn't even give me a bag to take the food home in. This place was such a disappointment. It was my child's bday and she seen times when they would wish someone a happy bday and they didn't even acknowledge her bday.. on top of the terrible service. The scenery and music was cool though. Our waitress was Mia M. 10 outta 10 do NOT recommend!
