I've only eaten at one other McCormick & Schmick's Steakhouse and that was a number of years again while in Atlanta and that visit played a major part in the decision process to dine here. I met a few business associates here for dinner after a long day at work. The atmosphere is very inviting and we were able to find parking without utilizing the valet service. Fortunately there was no wait time and after being greeting by the extremely welcoming hostess we were seating immediately. Our server was very friendly and professional and really set the tone for our visit - he missed nothing and was extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu and made a number of recommendations. After placing our drink orders we had time to explore all the offering and once the cold bottle beers arrived we discuss our decision with our server as he poured and distributed the beers in chilled glasses. We all ordered the Dry Ages Ribeyes at different temperatures and a different choice of the three potato dishes offered (fries, roasted and mashed) and decided to order a side of the truffle Mac n Cheese for the table. The steaks arrived perfect cooked to order each with a temperature stake proving the kitchen understood what the expectation were - everything arrived correct and nothing was missed even though our server never wrote anything down hence my comment on his professionalism. True to their reputation M&S delivered on their promise, the steak were of high quality and perfectly executed and the sides were prepared and served hot and of course the beer was cold. This was truly a four star experience and a place I would highly recommend and return to when in the area even though there are so many options in the area, for this occasion it was a great choice and the prices aren't too hard on the expensive report...

It's been a while since we've been to McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks. Usually we go for meetings with a preset menu of a soup or salad, entree and dessert. Service has always been on point. Love that the meeting rooms are set back from the hustle and bustle of the main dining rooms. Quiet enough to clearly hear the speaker, but comfy enough to chat with friends or colleagues afterwards. This last time went for Happy Hour and it was so much fun. Totally different vibe with a great selection of Happy Hour drinks and bites. So happy to also see some fun zero proof mock-tails on the menu. Loved the crispy Baja fish tacos. Two full size cobia tacos served on a choice of corn or flour tortillas with jicama slaw, fire roasted corn salsa and an avocado cilantro aioli. Delish! Will definitely be coming back for $2 Taco Twos-days!!The seared ahi tuna was perfect. Family loved the lamb sliders. The lettuce wraps were okay. Surprised to see a wide range of zero proof mock-tails. The white cranberry and strawberry sparkler was so refreshing. Refills were reasonable at $2 each. Parking can be a challenge, but not too busy on a quiet Thursday night. Fun place to meet family or friends for Happy Hour or great for a professional dinner meeting.

Had a delicious and unusual Lyon special for lunch. Not something I special expected to find it a seafood restaurant. Our waiter was very helpful and directing me to the special meal.

This was the best service that I received in years. I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. Wish I could give 100 stars. This review is for the uptown park location. Had a problem with service on arrival for the first time since visiting this location in the past. After about approximately 15 minutes I informed a staff member of the situation and let me tell you the manager Tracy and waitress Case, I believe short for Cassandra both swooped in like Wonder Woman and saved the evening after already having had a long day. It was like my wife and I had our own private concierge. They were both handling our table like we were famous movie stars. This really showed the passion they both had for customer service and I take my reviews very seriously. They were that good. So good that I would literally go out of my way to return to this location to receive the top notch customer service that these two had to offer. The drinks were really good and food was prepared to darn near perfection. And I had some of the best clam chowder that I've ever eaten. The restaurant itself was also very clean. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for excellent service and top notch food. Laundry's incorporation should be extremely proud to have such loyal, determined, and dedicated employees. I'm even going as far to inform the corporate office and general manager as to how dedicated these employees were to their organization and customer satisfaction. I've never bothered to make any such call for any prior restaurant staff. That goes to show you how greatly appreciated my wife and I were for the service we received. Job well done!!!!

Today it was M&S for a Friday BDay HH. Parking here is currently $8.00 valet or drive around and find free parking. Got there at 4pm in order to get a booth in the bar. We were greeted by a smiling server which was a great way to start the celebration. Our server talked us through the HH menu and then the wonderful started. We started with some Bulleit old fashion less sugar along with an order of calamari. The drinks were top scale and the calamari was full of flavor. Then we ordered 2 orders of Pork Belly Bao, along with a lemon drop drink and some Bulleit bourbon straight up. The lemon drop was a bit too sweet and the pork in the Bao was just ok. But all was still good. Last round was a gold margarita along with some chicken lettuce wraps, some bruschetta and a couple of orders of fried fish tacos. Bruschetta needed more flavor and cheese. The chicken lettuce wrap was also bland. The fish tacos were good. So HH ends at 6:30pm. And by 5:30pm the bar was packed and the people get loud. Overall it was a fun Bday HH as the people that joined me kept the party going. In the end our nice server Nadia offered me a complimentary Bday chocolate molten which was the perfect ending to a GREAT Friday BDay HH. Thank you Nadia for your service, we appreciate you.

My sister and I came here for happy hour and ended up having dinner as well. Our waitress was very kind and attentive, loved her! Our food came out very quickly - oysters, salad, and entree (sea bass). It was so delicious. It was around 5:30pm so the after-work crowd was around so the vibe was a little lively which was great. Overall, would highly recommend and will be returning!

General manager Glenn Davis has established a culture of excellence and professionalism. Hands down the best McCormick and Schmick's in Houston. Tracy the STARtender makes the best drinks this side of the Mississippi! Ambiance is warm and welcoming.

My friend and I enjoyed a pleasant Happy Hour here. I started out on the patio, but it started raining, and Tristan moved me inside at my request. Speaking of Tristan, we agreed he was one of the best servers we've had in a while... so personable and gracious, yet polished and efficient. He made us feel like welcomed guests! The space is wonderfully open and handsomely designed. We ordered wine and a few apps to share, including a generous charcuterie board, truffle fries, a fresh and delicious tomato bruschetta, and a warm and savory Mediterranean baked feta. All of the apps were flavorful and very satisfying. We even ordered dessert to-go, and I must say, the brown butter cake is absolutely divine! This was our first time doing HH at this location, but it will certainly not be our last.

I never do this, but here goes....My family and I enjoy fine dining and were looking forward to another upscale experience. unfortunately you can add McCormick & Schmick's to the long list of once fine restaurants reduced to mediocrity by the Landry's conglomerate.Showed up at the City Centre location at 6:50 for a 7:00 reservation, immediately told they were 40 minutes behind. ended up seating at 7:35.How is a restaurant 40 minutes behind for the 1st seating. Waiter immediately wanted to take the entire order, no drinks, no water, no bread...nothing!!! The menu and wine list at this "fine dining" establishment is a single piece of paper...food on one side and wine list on the other. No class!!!Our wine glasses stood empty 20 minutes after ordering our bottle of wine. Had to ask twice!!!Asked for my salad with the meal, came out immediately, 20 minutes before our meal. Finally got bread 50 minutes after being seated and 20 minutes after our salads. Had to ask 3 times. Twice to the waiter, once with the manager. Still took another 15 minutes from a neighboring waiterOnce the bread came, we ate it off of napkins, no plates!!!Only bright side was when the food finally arrived the steaks were good, that's the only thing.Overall it was a 3 hour joke experience that should have been a Mothers Day celebration.Embarrassingly poor service and bad experience!!!This is not a "fine dining" restaurant, but carries a $420 fine dining price tag. This restaurant has serious problems with their operational management and I Would not recommend at all...
