This place is so so! The Best Maxwell St., Polish is on Maxwell Street and Union Street. That's where the original was located. I went to John M Smyth grammar school located at 1059 W. 13th St. I'm talking about years and years ago, like 1955 or 1956. I used to walk to the Polish sausage stand on Maxwell Street for lunch. My mother gave me money to go to the lunchroom, but I was grown at six years old, so I walked over to Halsted and got me a hamburger or whatever I wanted that day. I can smell the onions now. You didn't need anything on that hamburger, but grilled onions and mustard. And, don't even talk about the Polish sausages. I think I'll go and give me one tomorrow. I don't live too far from the Maxwell Street stand on Union Street. It's Right next to the Dan Ryan Expressway.

No flavor. I have been wanting to try this place forever. So I finally gave it a shot and was pretty disappointed. I got the cheeseburger and fry combo, which was $5.30 with tax when writing this. They are fast with the service, but that is about it. It your looking for cheap drunk food this would be the place. I will stick with Jim's, because they are always a solid place and never disappoint.

Can't go wrong at Maxwell Street. Their polish sausage, hot dogs, and pizza puffs are delicious. There isn't really an area to stand and eat in the winter but seems to be in the summer. Basic Maxwell street location and nice to visit this one before/after Sox games. The guys working move quickly and are friendly

Stopped in there tonight at 8:30 PM place my order went into the heated section where there is a countertop to my food. No one in the place saw crumbs everywhere all over the countertop and was told you cannot eat your food in here. There are no signs posted. Covid is over,What is their deal people stay away. Food is mediocre and plenty of other places in the neighborhood to get much better food.

Been wanting to try this place out for a while now. Finally made it in. Service is great. They work quick and efficient. They're also very friendly. Price is very reasonable and the food will fill you up. I ordered a polish and a pork chop sandwich. The pork chop sandwich was very tasty. The pork chop was very tender and flavorful. I wasn't a big fan of their polish dog. It had no snap and tasty a little mushy. I'm glad I finally gave this place a try. I certainly won't be going out of my way to come here, but if I'm ever an the area, I might be down grab me some pork chop sandwiches.

They always get my order wrong. Missing cheese, onions, or fries. The fish would be burnt too. It shouldn't be that hard to serve a fast food sandwich.

Walked over a couple of blocks after the white Sox game , first time to visit city so wasn't sure what to expect walking. Luckily there was a lot of people walking the same direction and it was late at night. No sense of danger while walking in these streets. We ordered the original sausage dog it was pretty good. They add grilled onions and mustards simple but very filling. And great price. 4 dogs 4 drinks and 4 fries 30 bucks. Not bad at all when ur used to paying 80 - 120 for dinner. Staff was friendly. The only bad thing I guess is the dining area was closed and there are signs posted you can't eat outside near the restaurant. So we walked a bit and stopped along side the street and ate. Definitely recommend.
