I think this Maven might be undergoing growing pains, WiFi not yet functional and the food on repeated visits is cold in the middle. For the price, I likely won't return. The location is nicely decorated for a cafe but I don't think it's nice enough for evening drinks, I'd rather just head up to Sol7. On repeated visits, the warmed chocolate croissant is always cold in the middle and the chocolate is still hard. Service is a bit hit/miss. I think it's well intended but a bit awkward where they keep asking their colleagues how to use equipment or make drinks. Didn't create the most confidence. It's very expensive for awkward experience and average food. Drinks all on visits were ok and it's too overpriced for just ok.

First time here, this was my experience: I spent 20 minutes legit, trying to find parking because they don't have a parking lot, they offer valet that is $15 (with a 15 minute grace period) or the shared parking with the EOS gym. No big deal right? I found parking eventually and walk into the building. Once I'm inside, I see the decor and scenery is nice and clean, everything is brand new and the place is quiet, probably good to catch up with friends or do some work. The baristas are very nice and helpful and we ordered our drink. While we are waiting for our drink we get a seat at the comfy booth. We are just talking having a good time in the booth and some guy whom I'm assuming is the manager? comes up to us, asking something like "do y'all need help with something." I was taken aback, it was the way he asked, it was like he was implying we were just sitting there and he wanted to know why we were there. I told him we already ordered and he walked away and said "oh okay." Anyways still giving this place the benefit of the doubt, we get our drink and it's good, I rate the coffee a 7.5/10 on flavor alone, I ordered an ice almond milk latte and I notice they charged .50 for ice, I've never been charged for ice so if you like iced drinks keep that in mind.

Friends, I am not lying when I say this was one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had! I was so surprised and delighted to find such a treat at a baseball game. The staff were very kind too. On top of everything else, they were selling Crave cupcakes, and I was able to buy one to surprise my husband with for his birthday! Carajillo, which they described as a Mexican Espresso martini with orange flavor, and it was delicious! I will definitely be here again!

My new favorite spot in Houston! The service was 5 star and the atmosphere is top notch. Put Maven on your list, you won't be disappointed. Best coffee shop in Houston with the hottest owner, Lance McCullers.

Maven hits the spot for a trendy, upscale coffee & cocktail bar! Starting off with th massive window and marble, this place is well designed with nice leather chairs at the bar and plenty of seating. I opted for a Carajillo which was maybe one of the best I've ever had. The orange peel really pops and adds nice flavor to an already amazing drink. Finished off with my go to (Americano) and was very happy with the care and quality the barista put into it. Highly recommend for a quick coffee and even more for a cocktail.

A friend of mine visited your location today and was sadly disappointed with the food and service. The ham and cheese croissant was very salty, and the matcha was WAY too sweet. Additionally, there was no available parking, and they informed her that they closed right at 3 pm after giving her the food, which was very inconvenient as she was planning to work from there. Her business partner was on the way and couldn't make it due to parking and timing situation.

Located at the Thompson Houston off Allen Pkwy, Maven is THE new hot spot in Houston. Brunch is bustling with incredible pastries and savor protein dishes that take a winding culinary turn with experimental and delicious tastings. It is common for the Michelin star chef, Nicolas Baizan, to come up with new dishes on the spot for you to indulge your tastebuds. He has taken on a European trained protege (Jackson Wild-Gillis), graduate from Cesar Ritz College, Swtitzerland, Le Bouvere. The staff is exceptional with fast and personalized service. At night this little cafe turns into a private club like feel with great house music (mixed with a little Drake), incredible savory dishes and unique cocktails. I have been twice now in the past two weeks and have tasted everything on the menu as well as a variety of cocktails. It is impossible to pick a favorite as each dish is so unique. The food is simply incredible and you will often see local sports celebrities enjoying their cocktails and good times. It is a must try. Reservations are a must.
