Matsuhisa is a wonderful experience and a beautiful space. I took a group of work clients there and opted to do omakase for the whole table. Our waitress curated a beautiful meal for the table, accounting for everyone's dietary restrictions. I had some of the most memorable bites I've had in Denver at this restaurant. The shaved ice dessert with butter scotch miso and butterscotch toffee was no exception. Highly recommend!!!

Come ready to ball out and don't be shy to do so, call ahead of time and put a card in file so that when you're done ordering and eating you can head straight to valet. Any and everything on the menu is the best, I've said before and I'll say it again we love a dim lit spot with great customer service and a little chatter in the background. I've spent anywhere from $1500 here to $300 before tip so just be ready for that and you'll be happy.Food: 8.5/10Drinks: 10/10Sushi quality: 10/10Ask for secret menu options from the host and whatever they recommend just say yes. If you don't get the shishito peppers I don't know what you're doing.

This has to be one of the best omakase I've had in Colorado so far!! If you come here you have to try the omakase, it's one of the best meals I've had in my life! Let's just say if you had to choose a meal on death row, this would hands down be it. There are two different options for omakase - chefs tasting omakase or the regular tasting omakase. They are equally the same price of $175 per person. We were told the chefs tasting omakase would take longer and take around two and a half hours as they were busy so we opted for the regular menu. The regular menu omakase was amazing! They had special courses that were off menu which made this experience superb! I'm itching to come back again for omakase!

Had an excellent dinner at Matsuhisa! Our server was excellent. While we didn't order the traditional omakase dinner, she asked our preferences and she and the chef designed a menu for us that was phenomenal. The jalapeno yellowtail was fantastic, as were the lamb gyozas and the black cod. We also all loved the sushi platter...it had several nigiri items, including salmon and seared tuna, as well as tuna sashimi and a spicy tuna roll. All were incredible. Would have liked if they had a smaller format bottle of demon slayer...as we would have had to go with 1.5 liters or 10 oz, we chose the Nobu sake, but didn't enjoy that nearly as much.

WOW WOW WOW. This is Chef Nobu's third restaurant in Colorado, with the other two locations in Aspen & Vail. This new-style Japanese and was to die for. While everything was truly great, I'd say the must try items are: yellowtail jalapeño sashimi & crispy spicy tuna. Our entire group was happy dancing between each bite. Ambiance is mid-modern minimalist, the restaurant is truly beautiful. Our server guided us throughout the entire sushi experience and it did not disappoint.

Food was good, not incredible. Some dishes were fresh, while others did not taste quite as fresh. The hamachi was very typical, but had a fishy taste at the end. The spicy tuna with crispy rice is a fun dish that I highly recommend. All the other food items we tried were good. They had some off menu items such as the sea bass with truffle I would highly recommend. The servers have great recommendations as well. I was more impressed with the service we received. The servers are so amazing and very knowledgeable on all the menu items. It was a great experience overall. The atmosphere inside is lovely and spacious. They have a full bar available. There is valet parking available as well. Overall, good for a date night or to celebrate something special.

Matsuhisa is as good and almost exactly like Nobu. While it's pricey, it's delicious and I never regret going there. This location is near a wealthy shopping area, and it's a nice treat after a long day of walking around Denver. I went at 5pm because I had early evening plans. The restaurant was dead at 5pm so the service was quick. I didn't love the service that I had, hence the four stars, but the experience was still good. I felt that the server I had was not happy I was a solo diner (usually this equates to less money spent), but that also could've just been his style of service. Hands down the best meal I've had in Denver so far! This was in large part to David, an all star server. All of his recommendations were spot-on, and he orchestrated the dishes to come out in perfect timing. Experienced and super kind.The food was out of this world. At the first bite my jaw dropped (toro wrapped in pickled daikon). We filled up primarily on the fish/ seafood options, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Compared to Nobu LA with their extravagant decor, Matsuhisa has more of a sleek, elegant look.

Quality is not on par with the other staple Sushi establishments Denver. Smaller portions, less creativity in menu, and overall lacking consistency in their fish. Do yourself a favor and go to the other Sushi place Denver is known for.
