Matcha Mia

I moved into the area recently and while driving around I saw this bright pink matcha spot in the middle of a strip mall and I decided to go check it out. The menu is decently sized with plenty of drink options as well as frozen yogurt and some snacks/sandwiches. The customer service was honestly pretty poor, as someone who works in food service it always baffles me when people aren't nice to their guests. After my interactions, I was let down and ready for this place to just be another overpriced instagram hotspot. Luckily, my drink and my sandwich were pretty good. Maybe not worth the $7 and $14 respectively, but it wasn't a waste of money. Ultimately, it is a very cute and eye catching, instagram/ tiktok worthy spot, but upon further inspection the furniture is a bit dirty, the people aren't very hospitable, and the food does not fully live up to the price tag. It is a cute experience, but it does not seem like the type of place I would end up frequenting. Pros: cute decor, expansive and creative menu, food and drink choices that pair well together Cons: customer service, price point, quality, It is OK, but curb your expectations just a bit!

When you see the words Matcha Mia, you may instantly think of that green delicious drink that can do no wrong, however this location screams out, "PINK!!!"We decided to stop by here for a refreshing drink after my girlfriend had seen tons of vibrant and colorful posts on social media. As we pulled in, there was pink all over, pink tables outside, and tons of pink inside. Definitely the dream of any girl that wants to take pretty pictures. I am not said girl, I was just here to refresh my throat. The menu is quite extensive with tons of matcha lattes, coffees, sandwiches, crepes, waffles, acai bowls, and frozen yogurt to chose from. Oh man, talk about options! We decided to stick with an Horchata Latte, and a Strawberry Matcha. The Matcha was neat, because it had real chunks of strawberry in it. I loved the Horchata Latte, it was the perfect blend of Latino and coffee flavors! The one staff person working the front was friendly as well. This place is ideal to grab a refreshing drink and take some cute pics. Fun fact: This is exactly what we did! Prices aren't cheap, but they aren't crazy pricey either. Definitely a good spot to check out in the area.

Finally tried this place, got the original matcha hot and a matcha colada, I thought they were okay, my drink lid was not great, it spilled any time I used the straw, had to dump some out and still leaked, finally trashed the lid and that fixed it. The couches or benches need to be cleaned, customer service was also okay.

First time coming to this very cute spot. Everything inside is all pink! They serve froyo, açaí bowls, snacks, coffee and matcha drinks! I got their bluetiful matcha which consists of high quality matcha w lavender and whole milk! Staff was nice . Inside was spacious and clean. I love my matcha so I definitely will be coming back here!

Vibe- This is such a cute spot full of cute pink decor! They serve all things Matcha (of course ). There are lattes, coffee, sandwiches, smoothie bowls, waffles, and more on the menu.Customer service- Good! Food/drinks- I got a hot matcha latte with oatmilk. I'll be back to try a smoothie bowl or a waffle!Parking- There's plenty of spots in the lot.

One day I was just craving matcha. So I went to my most reliable source--Yelp and my fellow Yelp elites. I had my first glimpse of this place because my friend and I ate at a spot right next to it one time. So when I saw Yelp suggest it again I thought it was meant to be.I was just expecting a hop in and hop out cafe but it's also a froyo bar which I was NOT expecting at all haha! The vibe and ambience of the establishment was super instagrammable though. It was poppin when I entered and I really only wanted a drink so I had to go around the froyo topping bar. The staff were friendly and quick. I went for the matcha drink with lavender honey in it. It wasn't super sweet but it was sweet enough. If I'm honest, I think this drink kept me up the rest of that night HAHA! They use authentic matcha so it really got me good. Good to note that I should come here earlier in the day for a matcha fix next time!

This is a cute coffee spot in the Memorial City area. We went to Terry Hershey and decided to stop here afterward to grab a drink since it was closeby. The menu is extensive and froyo is also an option here! It took me a while to pick out which drink to go with and the staff at the counter were helpful in answering our questions. I wanted a drink without too much caffeine and ended up choosing the taro matcha, which was the perfect combination of creamy and matcha. It was not overwhelmingly sweet like some taro drinks are. Know that drinks are on the pricey end. The shop is also located in the same plaza as the teahouse Muse, which is also delicious! I would come back if I was in the area.

A Barbie cafe, so pink & aesthetic. FROZEN YOGURT, COFFEE/MATCHA, & FOOD. A little bit of everything. I wished the froyo had little sample cups but there were at least 10 flavors & all the toppings. They do have wifi & big enough tables to study & do some work. We also tried the BASIC B TOAST & GUAVA MATCHA. The toast was tasty but I would probably try their WAFFLES or SMOOTHIE BOWLS next time. The guava matcha was sweet & had a good matcha flavor. The layered drink was really beautiful. The drink was surprisingly large for what you pay for. I can definitely see myself coming back to try other things on the menu

I've been on the hunt to find a matcha place that serves matcha justice! Some places are just too stingy with matcha but Matcha Mia did not disappoint! I ordered the:- Dirty Matcha: not too sweet, espresso is overpowering though- can't taste any matcha- Strawberry Matcha: on the sweeter side but a solid option! great balance of flavors- Bluetiful: very sweet! a little too sweet for my taste but the lavender is overpowering - Taro Matcha: this was MINDBLOWING! I am notone to gravitate towards taro but the flavors were amazing together: the taro was nicely balanced with the matcha and made it so creamy (MUST TRY) I would say the drinks are pretty expensive but you do get a nice portion- coming from someone who's lived in Austin.The store was so bright, adorable girly and PINK service was friendly, I enjoyed it so much I went two days in a row before driving back to Austin :P

This place is very pretty but small. They have a self serve froyo station and plenty of unique drinks! I ended up trying the guava matcha and it was a little too sweet but good. You can really taste the guava, not so much the matcha. But the drink itself was Instagram worthy as is the store itself- it's very cute and beautiful! As for the service, when I went, the lady was FaceTiming someone. She would stop when I stepped up but it didn't seem very professional as she didn't take initiative to ask me if I needed any help. And For the price point, I'm not sure I would come back again but they do have a rewards system which is nice after you spend $50.
