Matador Bar

High end bar in the Miami Beach Edition Marriott. A great dirty martini served with a caviar, cream, and blini. Wood paneling and a view of the tropical garden. Great place for a drink and caviar.

The service was amazing! Our server was phenomenal. I believe his name was Carlos. The menu items delicious the Maitake mushrooms, the fontina pizza, the short rib tacos all delicious. The dessert definitely something to try. I will return to this restaurant.

I was expecting more because it was a Michelin star. The drinks were really great & so was the ambiance. I was not so impressed with the food. Service was great and they really took care of me. I'm sure there's other better places to go in Miami, I probably won't be back. I was not so impressed

I loveeeee the vibe at matador bar! It's a really cool hotel bar outside one of my favorite spots in Miami aka Matador Room. I wish they had a better selection of wines but it's pretty good for a hotel bar. The best thing about it is you can get a limited menu from Matador room after 6pm. Favorites:- Ham and machengo croquettes: Crowd pleaser. Comes with 5 little ones and perfect for sharing - Fontina and black truffle pizza with frisée: ok if you order one thing ORDER THIS. It is so next level delicious - Guacamole- always a favorite but theirs is extra creamy and delicious for some reason Oh they also have a band that plays on the weekend! It has really fun live music that definitely makes you feel like you are in Miami. This spot is really cool. Check it out!

It was a nice bar. The live music was good, drinks were good. I was a bit surprised they couldn't make any frozen drinks (GF's favorite). Overall decent hotel bar, but, nothing stood out either.

It was so beautiful, we were staying down the street at Eden Roc, wanted to have a drink before continuing to dinner.My husband had had a business dinner the night before at the restaurant and raved about the food.5:30 on a Wednesday evening- We sat outside beautiful porch, the server was at the next table back to us caught up in a lengthy conversation with a guest ,working on his laptop- not eating or drinking, in her native language. After waiting for 5-10 mins,I went inside to get drinks the bartender came to get my order as I was beginning to give the second drink. He said he would send a server over to us to get our order. There was not one single person in the huge bar....2 bartenders and 2 servers inside. Went back to sit with my husband. Sat another 5-10 minutes no service and left. The 4 inside, still chatting, turned to see us leave and aid nothing. The one outside was still in her conversation the entire time. Only one other couple was drinking in the entire place...we have had incredible meals and cocktails all over south beach this week and other regular visits...this was the worst of the worst. But had such great potential to be great,

We came here because we're acrossed the street but came and so enjoyed our time. Chris was so amazing. He really made our night. Thoroughly enjoyed him. He was fun, entertaining and got everything we asked for right. I want to come back just to see him along with my husband of course. His handsome looks don't hurt.

My Husband and I came here after a mistake of going somewhere else. We went here on a whim, w no reservation thankfully the host wasable to accommodate. The vibe with soulful music was a welcome reprieve. The food was well prepared and the service was exceptional!

Don't confuse this with the Matador Room, the adjacent restaurant. This bar may or may not provide cocktails for the restaurant. (There is also a bar outside by the pool that seems to provide cocktails for the Matador Room. Perhaps they both do.) The bartenders are knowledgeable, quick, and courteous. Service is much quicker than in the restaurant. Not much atmosphere, but it's relatively quiet compared to the poolside bar--which can be a pleasant break. It's a nice spot for a drink.

Home to the best espresso martini i've ever had, Matador Bar is a great pre- or post-dinner spot. It has a great vibe, a nice lounge feel, and live music / a DJ some evenings (at least Fri and Sat).My wife and I got married at The EDITION and had our welcome party here. Two hours of open bar in a roped off area with two signature cocktails being poured at all times...it was amazing. We loved it, our guests loved it. Not saying this a normal use of the space but it definitely means something special to us.The bartenders themselves absolutely know what they are doing and I've never been poured a cocktail that wasn't perfect or close to perfect. The espresso martini is definitely a go-to but I'm also a big fan of their old fashioned and my wife loves the ginger margarita. Come for the drinks, stay for the vibe.
