Master X Ramen

Came here after seeing the good reviews and it being local in the area. Went during a weekday afternoon as it wasn't busy at all and could sit anywhere by choice. The waitress who served us was very friendly and was receptive to any questions that we had. My friend and I both order the tonkatsu ramen. Overall, the ramen tasted very good (broth, pork, most toppings), however I wasn't really a big fan of the brussel sprouts addition to the ramen, as it added a bitter and burnt charred taste to it. The other thing I wanted to mention was the portions (specifically the chashu) did vary from mine versus my friends bowl as it was significantly lesser, so I will say the consistency can be worked on. I did get food poisoning shortly afterwards the same day, however, I'm not sure if it's from the ramen, thus I will not take off any points or make any conclusions based on my own personal experience. Overall, give it a go if in the area.

Finally decided to give this place a shot, so we came here after church. It was nicely themed like a typical ramen shop and very clean. Our waitress was really nice and was kind enough to tell us all the specials when we didn't know what we were going to order.We ordered some appetizers which were the takoyaki and the spicy salmon tacos. I also noticed that they had a small menu for sushi rolls, as well, however we decided not to order any this time around. Maybe next time! The takoyaki was really good. The outside was lightly crisped and the inside was just filled with delicious seafood creaminess. They also weren't so piping hot that we couldn't just stuff our face with it right away like other places, where it's just so hot we burn ourselves. The spicy salmon tacos were also very delicious. It was lightly crisped and with the pickled vegetables, it really paired well. Finally, onto the main course: I ordered the shoyu ramen and my boyfriend ordered the tonkotsu ramen. The broth was very flavorful and not too salty. The noodles had a good 'bite' to them and the pork chashu was very tender. It was overall a really good experience and I do plan on coming back to try out their sushi menu next, as well as their rice bowls!

This is my favorite ramen place. The food is always so good and the service is great. I love their veggie ramen. Definitely a great choice for ramen in the area!

We visited Master x ramen for lunch on a Friday. The restaurant space is easy to find and there is parking right out front. The area is shared with other restaurants so you may have to park a short distance away. Thankfully we were very lucky to find a spot right in front. The restaurant itself is very clean and beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and accomodating.We enjoyed:- Pan fried gyoza- Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen customized with our selection of extra toppings- Shredded coconut cake (reminded me of puertorican tembleque which we love)We will definitely be back. I recommend that you stop in and give them a try.

This place is a hidden WOW, the food was amazing. You want food to take you back to the streets of Kyoto, this is it. I loved their food. Tried different plates and each one kept getting better. Service was super quick and friendly. The place is a little dark bit it is relaxing. I will go back again for another rice dish along with some ramen.

Small shop next to a big shopping plaza. It's very easy to find & there's plenty of parking! Ordered the X Mazeman and it was rich, unique in flavor, and a pretty decent sized portion. There's pork belly & ground meat, and comes with 2 fried eggs and a bowl of rice & sheet of seaweed on the side. The noodles were great quality.We also got the tempura cheesecake which was to die for! The service was great & our waters were never empty. Only thing I wish were that the prices were just a bit more affordable. It's not fast food but it's also not a fancy date night either, but the food is pretty solid and I'd come back again.

Great food and service. Had the spicy miso with pork, dumplings, and crab puffs. Would go back again.

Friendly staff, very clean and organize l. My wife and I really enjoy what they have to offer here. In my opinion one of the better ramen shop in the area. Food is always fresh and delicious! They also serve sushi as well but we only ever tried the ramen. Come show your support if your in the Clear Lake area

Wow, a tasty ramen place close by to my parents' house? Clear Lake has made it! Intrigued by their mazemen (broth-less ramen with toppings made fto mix all together), I ordered takeout and our meal was delicious as well as appealing to the eye :) some downsides would be how salty our dishes were (we are a little salt sensitive though) and the cost. Curry mazemen and shoyu mazemen: looked almost identical but loaded with raw garlic and green onion with a serving of their pork mixture. I loved the poached egg with the bright runny yellow yolk. The noodles were soft so not much chew but they mixed well with everything and held onto the sauce. While not extremely spicy, there is definitely a kick to the sauce... what was overpowering was the salt level-- I rarely leave my bowls unfinished but I had to save the last bit despite drinking lots of water. The remaining salty meat mixture was super tasty mixed with lots of rice the next day though!Sukiyaki Don: Mixed with small pieces of tofu, this one also looks delicious with the poached egg! The jalepenos made it a little spicy as well. My dad really enjoyed his beef bowl. I wouldn't say it's true Sukiyaki flavor or have the usual veggies / broth, but it is definitely sweet and savory. A good portion of protein in this one. I would order this again! Calling in an order was a breeze and it was hot and ready when I arrive to pick it up 15 min later. Service was quietly friendly, and the interior of the restaurant looked trendy and clean-- would've been a nice hangout or date spot for me when I was growing up in the area! Definitely a little pricier for what I'm used to paying for bowls of ramen, but it's a nice place to switch it up or try something new and delicious :D They have a variety of dishes, like your more traditional broth ramen, soba, sushi, and even smoothies, so check it out!
