Mart Anthony's

I spent a chilly Chicago evening in this classic and cozy Italian spot. Immediately upon entering, you feel like you're at home. The space is small and intimate with that old-school feel. The service was friendly and attentive and our waitress was very patient with me while a friend and I were catching up. :) Onto the food - I ordered a glass of Pinot which, for me, paired well with the Tortellini Romano dish. I typically don't go for red sauce pasta dishes but something about this one called my name! The pasta tasted homemade and the portion was enough to keep me happy and warm the rest of the night. I can't wait to come back for another cozy night out!

Great place for Italian. The owner of the restaurant is so nice and friendly and talks to every table. It's the kind of place where you know the locals go and the owner actually remembers you. The bread at the table was delicious and we had to stop ourselves so we could actually eat our dinner. Lobster ravioli and the pappardelle pasta was so delicious. We also got the tiramisu for dessert which actually wasn't the best I've ever had but still decent and we finished it anyways. The outdoor patio was great to sit out and have dinner. Loved it.

Delicious Italian food where each meal will be delicious every time. Food came out extremely fast. We were also there on a slower Sunday but very impressed by the service. The owner also went up to each table to ask how things were and check in. Braciole was tender and delicious. Lemon chicken was light and fresh. Got a bunch of other things not pictured! All really good but I am not sure one stood out way more than the other. Can't go wrong here. Reminds me of going to my grandparents house and getting served a delicious dinner every time. Cool place with beautiful patio and really cool family pictures inside. Cozy bar area as well.

My friends and I were last-minute looking for a restaurant on the weekend in Chicago and found this place. Located in a somewhat quiet part of town for me, the atmosphere is adorable and the service friendly.We had a couple of appetizers in the bruschetta and grilled calamari which were good, but not excellent. I ordered the black linguine as my main dish while my friends all ordered different entrees. The pasta was scrumptious and the seafood pieces were fat, delicious, and cooked perfectly. We topped off our meal with a great tiramisu.Overall, Mart Anthony's (great name) serves delicious food with generous portions.

Classic Italian right downtown! We've been to Mart Anthony's a couple of times and the service and drinks have always been excellent. The food is good. There are definitely dishes that are outstanding and dishes that are just ok. The sausage and peppers and the black linguine are amazing! The shrimp diavolo unfortunately has no spice, and the sauce is too watery. The ambiance is very welcoming and intimate, perfect a date night!

Absolutely love this neighborhood gem. The food is delicious and fairly priced for the portions and quality of the food. Wait staff is always friendly and happy to make a suggestion. I consider it a "hidden" gem but has quickly become a favorite suggestion in my friend group when we decide to give-in to our carb cravings. Will return consistently as long as I live here

Never had a bad meal at Mart Anthony's. Our favorite neighborhood spot for a family meal. Always great service and hot food too. The outdoor seating is great all year & free valet parking is great in the winter. We recently used them for catering and it was a hit! Great communication and food was nice and hot when we picked it up. Best sausage in the city in my opinion too!

Service was spectacular we sat at bar with friends cocktails were delicious soup and entrees were delicious can't wait to go back also make sure you have desert! Our server was Tammi and she is the bartender as well.

I have dined at Mart Anthony's many times. Their menu has definitely gotten better over the last several years. They are also finishing a makeover of the outside dining area.
