Really terrific Italian restaurant with great food! Came here on a Friday night for 2, it was a touch chaotic but we were sat right away. The gin martinis were quite delicious and paired with those epic mozzarella sticks. Those bad boys were huge and so filled with gooey cheese. My friend and I split the margarita pizza and eggplant parm. The eggplant parm was really, really, spectacular. It was a big portion and perfectly fried and smothered. The spaghetti had a great cook on it as well. I liked the margarita pizza quite a bit, but next time I'm stopping by I will most likely try another pie. I saw some other tables who had different pizzas that looks insanely good.Our server was outstanding, the old school eatery vibes were on point, and the food was really fantastic. Get those mozz sticks and the eggplant parm!

I stopped by Marra's on a Friday around 5 p.m. with my wife and 2 kids. We were hoping to get some quick and cheap food and be on our way. We were seated right away at a table outside and ordered a few happy hour options. My wife ordered meatballs, caprese, and a personal pizza for her and the kids to share. There weren't many gluten-free options for me so I settled on Marra's antipasto with grilled shrimp. I'm not sure why, since I didn't look this place up before, but just based on the location and the fact that we always see people going here, we really expected it to be an authentic mom-and-pop Italian place with a grandma stirring the sauce with her bare hands and a gaggle of cousins yelling in Italian in the kitchen. When we got our food a few minutes later, I was honestly surprised at how everything looked. The meatballs looked dry, the caprese was sitting on a sad leafy pile of lettuce, the pizza was thin and the salad was...ok we're going to come back to the salad. Not only were the meatballs dry, but the sauce was sweet. Not sweet in a good way, but sweet in a "I have no idea how to make sauce so maybe if I throw some sugar in it no one will be able to tell" kind of way. The cheese on the caprese was definitely not fresh and definitely came out of a package. The pizza was "fine" but nothing special there. The salad. $15 for this salad that contained 1 piece of salami that was shredded 10 times to make it seem like it was more than that. A handful of cheese, a few peppers, tuna fish? Not sure why that was in an antipasto salad but it was not good. The 4 tiny grilled shrimp, which cost $5 were overcooked and unseasoned. I personally would not go here again, but if you're looking for something quick and only want to order off the happy hour menu, it may be worth it.

Traditionally well done pasta. I have heard people rave about this place. Reasonable prices. People are nice and I could hear the South Philly accents. Eye candy here doesn't hurt either.One of my friends tried to make a reservation on Fri and Sat for Sun and their phone's voicemail was full. Seems pointless to have a phone number if it isn't being used besides the appearance of having one to have one.Hard work and good food are the vibes I get here. Pasta is made from scratch- so you know it is good!

This review is strictly based on their pizza.They are better than santucci's, better than Angelo's. The best pizza I've had in Philly. Specifically their sausage with cherry peppers. Don't let anybody play you and tell you Angelo's or santucci's next time you get a pizza.

Best pizza in Philly! They also have great menu options. We order from here a lot, and everything is always PERFECT! The drivers are always nice and respectful. The young lady who answers the phone is always pleasant. Definitely recommend!

This place is a hidden gem. I'm sure those in the neighborhood know about it but I did not. Wonderful service. Small place love the wood booths and woodwork. The food is outstanding!Soft seeded bread to start. I ordered the chicken Alaska. Chicken crab white sauce and asparagus. My with order the manicotti. Both our dishes were delicious. We will remember this place the next time we are in S Philly.

Great pizza only because of the sauce. Classic South Philly pizzeria. An old-school atmosphere that brought back some childhood memories. Staff was friendly and made you feel like they enjoyed having you there.

This review is for Saturday evening (6 pm) delivery. We ordered linguini with shrimp and scallops. A stuffed mushroom appetizer and a side of sautéed broccoli. 3 stars is generous. The stuffed mushrooms are disgusting. Clearly not fresh, most likely frozen, soggy, and flavorless; they went unfinished. The linguini was not fresh and it was way overcooked. The shrimp were barely edible and the two small sea scallops were so tough we were afraid to eat them. Needless to say, we are highly disappointed. I am not sure how this restaurant survives given all the amazing options on Passyunk.
