I've been here twice and the service is top notch, but the costs for each meal are a little outrageous; i.e. two salads, two teas, and slice of peach pie costs almost $50?? We were a little blown away by that and don't plan to return.

My wife and I love supporting local business and Market Street Cafe is one of the best in the Tomball Area. Great owners, the staff is amazing and love the food. My favorite item on the menu is the Boudin Burger, all the elements fit so well together. I also love that they carry my favorite Vodka (Crystal Head) so I can enjoy a nice drink when I visit. I love the family vibe, it's warm and inviting unlike some of the other establishments in the area. They treat their customers right and stand by there word, highly recommend visiting if you haven't already. We have been fans since they opened and will continue to stop by and support.

On July 6th I rsvp'd to a private event at this restaurant, that evening also happened to be the Tomball Sip and Stroll. The event organizers left my name off the list so we were not allowed to enter the building. We stayed to eat and support the business since the private event was turning people away. When my minor child got up to use the bathroom, he was denied access to the building. We had already verified there were bathrooms available for patrons. The woman at the door told my son to wait for the guard. The guard did not return during this entire conversation. Frustrated, my husband opened the door and told our son to go use the bathroom. Our son told us he saw the guard sitting down inside with no intention of moving.During the conversation with the woman at the door, not an employee of the restaurant, she began verbally attacking me. Making rude comments about my looks and ultimately telling me to F*ck Off. You can imagine my shock. When I called the restaurant to discuss what happened the staff was so surprised and shocked and apologized profusely. When the manager on shift called me back, the entire vibe had changed. The manager tried to deflect by saying they were not associated with the group holding the private event. The manager did not want to hear what was said to me, but I told her anyway. She wasn't rude, just deflected and didn't want to take any responsibility for the incident. If I'm a restaurant owner or manager I am very concerned about someone who is standing outside my doors interacting with paying customers. At that point they are representing your establishment. If not then you probably need to have an employee out there who will treat your customers with respect instead of slinging verbal abuse at them. Our server was absolutely wonderful and apologetic. Our food was very good. We will not be visiting this establishment again. I don't need that kind of abuse.

What an unexpected and pleasant surprise. We were meeting a friend for lunch at a nearby brewery in this area. Ah, but apparently the German Festival really wore out that staff, and they were closed on a regularly-scheduled open day. Obviously we needed a Plan B. Walked down to the end of the block and came upon Market Street Cafe. Yes, we've driven or walked past this location many, many times but were always heading to the brewery . . . but on this day, it was the closest option for lunch. A quick look-up on Yelp showed good reviews, so we decided to give it a try.Plenty of seating, and we were quickly brought to an empty booth. Serving staff was attentive and quick. Not an overly extensive menu, but enough to satisfy most palates. Several local beers on tap, too, which was a nice surprise. Prices were reasonable.Pulled pork tacos were actually pretty good. Served with a side of guacamole (which was a tad salty, and I like salted guac, but this was a bit too much), Spanish rice and pico de gallo. All had good flavors and was just the right amount for lunch. Burgers looked great, too, which is what others in my party ordered. After we finished, we lingered for quite a while before we left. We were never rushed or encouraged to leave, even though we had already paid the check.A nice experience, and a true hidden gem. Glad we finally gave them a try.

This was a really cute place in the Tomball area. We had fast service and very friendly waitstaff. We had Emily as our server and she was very quick and always checking in on us. We stopped in after shopping on Main Street. You won't be disappointed in your dining experience here. The food was good and the had big portions. To go box needed

Service was great, food not so much. I ordered the tilapia and it was COVERED in some white sauce that was too greasy and heavy for such a delicate fish. fried pickles has good flavor but the breading was too thick.

First and foremost, we always seek out locally owned businesses, and this little spot in the heart of downtown Tomball has been on our radar for awhile and we finally made it in. I will agree with some of the other reviews, it's a bit overpriced. The burgers are between $11-15 dollars and served with potato chips. If you want fries, and who doesn't?, you have to pay a significant upgrade charge, I'm thinking it was at least $3, maybe even $4. With that being said, the burger was really good, and the French fries were also delicious. That's the hard part of this review, great food, yet still feels like it's too much $$. The staff was great, the restaurant cute, good country music, a very nice experience. A solid 4star review from my visit.

Bacon cheeseburger was average. Onion rings were crisp and good. Wife said shrimp tacos were good. Not crowded inside. Outside tables looked full.

Absolutely LOVE this place! Have been frequenting the establishment for 3 years and I've never had a complaint! The owner is always there or his wife is and they work so hard! They have an awesome outdoor seating area and everyone is sooo nice! Food is great but if I had one wish it would be a Mushroom Burger on the menu with a Sesame Seed bun. Ya'll gotta try this place!
