The ambiance is fantastic! Love the green velvet bar area and wonderful food options. There are small and large plates. The strawberry gaspacho (a special) was delicious --a perfect sweet and savory appetizer. The braised rib (small plate) was super tender and flavorful.There is plenty of parking and I was able to make last minute reservations online on a Saturday before 6pm.

Dinned last night for the first time at Market and Moss. This place is big and I get the sense that it can get bus. They have arranged the areas in such a way that you can carry on a conversation without screaming at each other :) The decor is cute and the vibe is relaxed and great. Service was prompt. The plates labeled as small or appetizers could serve as entrees. We had the mushroom arugula flatbread which was very good. Also the braised short rib....wow delish. The steak was thin but very tasty. It was served on a bed of puréed sunchoke and side of daikon. Everything was great. Be careful when you order because portions are generous, which is a great thing, you just don't want to end up with a ton of food like we did :) The wines are affordable, not to my liking but I am VERY picky with my red wines.

We had not been here before but this is a popular restaurant on one of the foodie Facebook groups I belong to. It's in Southern Village in Chapel Hill with lots of parking available unless there is a special event going on. We came for dinner on a Tuesday and were seated up front near the window. The menu is not very large but is seasonal. It is on the pricier side, so know that going in. We enjoyed the mushroom flatbread appetizer (apparently a favorite), seafood linguine, catch of the day, and "chocolate garden" dessert. Overall the food was good but for some reason the service was slow for us (several tables that came after us were served before us). I can see how this is a favorite place for people who live nearby. They seem to have a devoted following.

Be careful when you make a reservation at this restaurant. They charged me $60 even though I've cancelled the reservation 5 days in advance. Their own policy says that they would charge cancellation fee only when it is cancelled less than 5 days prior. But they are not responding phone calls, voicemails and emails

I am sooo happy I came across this place! I am an offline member and otherwise probably wouldn't have ventured out this way. I really struggled to choose what to eat since the menu had a lot of tasty looking iems. So for an app I chose a small plate of burrata cheese and grilled peaches. They were so perfectly cooked and had a really nice vinegrette that fused it all together well. The mussles were delicious and had an interesting almost curry like spice to them with Cilantro. And finally the strawberry short cake was amazing with angle food cake, rose Gelato and a strawberry glaze! It was an absolute perfect end to a great experience of a dinner. I will certainly be back!

Went last night for restaurant week and had a great meal! Beets with burrata, little gem, bouillabaisse, and wonderful wine pairings. Atmosphere and service was relaxing. I would have preferred more flavorful desserts (choc garden and budino) , but overall would recommend and will return:
