We met up with friends before going to the Vintage Theater across the street for a play. Perfect location for this activity.There is plenty of parking and ample seating inside the restaurant. We were welcomed in and seated right away. Our server did a great job.I love Chile Rellenos. I got the soft relleno plate. It had rice, beans and a mixture of lettuce, tomato and radish. The chips and salsa were tasty. I think this will become a thing to meet for lunch before a matinee.

My last experience at a Mexican seafood place in CO was pretty bad, so when my mom suggested we have dinner "at the place next to Vintage Theater" I was not thrilled. I checked out their menu online and saw there were plenty of non-seafood options, however, so I agreed to give Mariscos Uruapan a try. By the way, when I saw "lots of options" on the menu, I mean that there menu is a novel the likes of which I have not seen since Cheesecake Factory. They serve everything here. That can also be a red flag as the chances of things being done well goes down as the menu page count goes up. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival. They have ample parking despite being in the heart of downtown Aurora and the restaurant was adorably decorated. I noticed almost all the patrons were speaking Spanish and that every food item that came out was MASSIVE and looked and smelled pretty darn good. My mom is a very light eater so we decided to split something, which ended up being a surf and turf molcajete. It was very good! The whole pinto beans cooked in lard were another highlight, as were the fresh scratch corn tortillas. Despite splitting one entree between two people, we couldnt get through the whole thing. Oh, and the "surf" part of the dish - grilled fish - was the best part. I am now excited to return for more Mexican seafood dishes!

Portions are massive, definitely a place to share with friends or family. But everything was delicious! Service was fast and super friendly! They have a great patio and good sized bar. Still feels like a family restaurant though, not too big. When we were there, they had musicians walking around playing music, it was not too loud. They even had some outside vendors, walking around selling cookies, cheeses, and jerky from Mexico. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

This place is definitely worth visiting! The horchata is definitely unique with a nice creamy but sweet (not too sweet) taste. The serive is very friendly always checking up if we needed anything and made sure we were happy with the meal. One of the best things about this restaurant is its variety of dishes! From molcajetes to steak dishes to sea food dishes , stuffed pineapples and chicken. It really is hard to just decide on one but it is very well served with just the right sides (not just beans and rice).

I'm on the hunt for the best tacos In denver! This place is pretty cool very authentic food surprisingly was on the pricier side but it was definitely good. Really solid flavor in everything! Ended up getting al pastor and carne asada tacos and birria y consome. Left happy and full that's all you can ask for! Until the next #tacotuesday

Across the street from The Vintage Theater so we had to give it a try. Food was tasty and the portions were generous. Huge menu with lots of seafood options. Lost a star for the way too loud music blasting in our ears. It didn't seem to bother other diners but we found it almost painful. Might try again and be certain to sit some distance from the sound system.
