Wow! This place really knows how to season the food. The grilled fish was absolutely delicious.If you do not like to peel shrimp and take the head off yourself there is one dish that comes with the shrimp fully peeled with the head off that is very tasty. I like that they give you a ceviche appetizer when you walk in and sit. It is very tasty and the sauce that they give in a small black cup has a very nice kick to it. Our waiter was very friendly and recommended really good dishes to try. I will definitely keep going back here. I am so tired of ordering fried fish and it comes breaded with no flavor. They give you whole fish and if you like to eat the eyes and brain you will definitely get the fried fish experience you would get while traveling overseas in Asia.Note: If you do not like seafood they do not have anything else. The fries and fried rice is good though.Everyone mostly speaks Spanish, I do not speak any Spanish but was able to communicate what was wanted just fine in English.

Food was ok. Huge portion plates, the service is pretty average and a bit slow, drinks were ok but a bit overpriced a drink has the price of a plate of food there!. That just doesn't make much sense to me. There's no music playing so the ambiance is kinda quiet and boring!.

This was my second time. The first time was great. This time, I feel like we were scammed. Food took forever and came out all at different times - like huge gaps of over 15 min. Also, the margarita was $18 which is luducrious and price is not listed on the menu. The most ridic was that I pointed to a picture of an entree with ONE FISH FILET and server brought the plate and it was three filets---and thus over $60 just for that. My meal was close to $100--for that much money, there are a million other places I'd rather eat. Sadly- I will not be back.

Omg the food is do delicious . One of the best seafood restaurants in Atlanta. Had the shrimp diabolo and the squid . Both were excellent

This place is amazing the food is delicious. I am from outta town and I only travel here for the food. But the customer service is going downhill real fast. I ask for something and they forget about me and I have to ask the cashier (whose always in a bad mood) that I need something and she always says they'll bring it to me and they never do. This is the 3rd time this has happened. The organization is terrible. They have enough waitresses to cover everybody. Any who the food is delicious but honestly the service is what makes the experience more delightful really.

Everything I ordered was delicious. But make sure your Spanish is good. Parking is complicated but worth it! This is one of the best seafood places on Buford highway! I feel like after Covid, restaurants don't cook with love anymore. But this place does!

Authentic seafood restaurant. Service was fine but not many servers speak English. Our food was well prepared and plentiful. We've been twice and the food and service is consistent.

I really don't do reviews but this time I had to. First time going to El Veneno in a few years but definitely will be the last time. The food was good. Service was terrible from the time we arrived to the time we left. It's Father's Day we get that but when asked questions Priscila answered with an attitude, we got our food however my husband's food arrived when my daughter & I were half way through our food, the table next to us arrived after we did & got their food before my husband. We didn't get an apology til my husband cancelled his order & was told they were busy since it was Father's Day. I guess she realized her tip wasn't going to be 20% then she started to apologizing but it was too late. It's a small place so it got packed fast you would think if you're always busy you would make it bigger or move however we won't be coming back.

The food is great. Beware of the extra cost that is added to your bill. Tips are added at an 18% which includes the tip. Is a way for employers to pay lower wages but scamming the customer in the process. The service is fI am not sure what's the deal with the bathrooms. I don't recommend using the bathrooms at all. Live music available at $25 per song.
