Mario's Taco and Burger House

Service is greatThe food is awesome.If you've never been here before you have to try the Gourmet Burrito.I never thought fries would be good in a burrito.But I was totally wrong about that.Combined with the steak and shrimp.It just all comes together perfectly.

Been meaning to try Mario's for awhile, I was excited to see they had a California burrito on the menu. When I visit Southern CA - a lot of the popular taco shops have California burritos and carne asada fries on the menu and so naturally I get excited when I stumble across it in Houston.California burrito contains - carne asada, fries, Guac, cheese. Simple but the mixture is great! Overall, I was expecting a much bigger burrito size, and crispier fries, the meat was just ok tasting. Great customer service, clean restaurant.

Definitely will come back! The nachos were sooo good! Burger and burritos were good as well. Friendly staff and clean restaurant!

They were friendly and everything was very clean. The menudo was lacking flavor. It was cleaned well but def needed more salt and spice. It wasn't bad just not the greatest. Had hominy but not a ton of body. 2.5/5Torta/quesadilla/burrito we're all ok. On the small side. 3.5/5 Nachos as a whole were decent. 4/5 I wouldn't protest coming here but it also wouldn't be my first choice.

Y'all gotta try this place. Small cute little restaurant with a good amount of business. They have mexican food and burgers. I got the torta and when i say it was good as fuck it was good as fuck. Super flavorful and very fresh. It was definitely made with care and love. They have 5 or 6 different salsas that was OOOO sooo good. Their tomatillo salsa was amazing. I definitely will be coming back for a burger. Just wish they put out napkins because i had to ask a worker for some since they were behind the counter.

Went for the burger, it did not disappoint. If you grew up eating Flame-grilled burgers in California you'll know what this tastes like. To top it off they have a California favorite of having Orange Bang! This place tasted like my childhood. The owner Mario couldn't be any friendlier, been there once and I can tell you he now has a customer for life!

Love finds like this. Hole-in-the-wall family owned and operated taco and burger house. Mr. Mario takes your order and Ms. Mario (lol not her real name) makes the food. Come on! How cant you adore that. I got a cheese burger and two tacos. Chicken and pastor. Grabbed a hand full of condiments at the condiments bar and I was all set. It was fantastic. Thx to the Mario's!

I've eaten here a few times and I've yet to be disappointed. Always solid good food. For the price the amount of food you get seems about right.I've only had tacos and burritos from here but they've all been good. First time eating here was on a weekend and got a pound of barbacoa. I wanted to make breakfast tacos from it so I added some eggs on the side and it came out good! The steak and eggs tacos are pretty delicious as well.They have a nice area of salsa and add-ons you can grab for you food.My most recent visit I had the gourmet burrito, which was my first time not getting breakfast food. I wish it was a bit bigger or more full of protein but it was still very good.Overall this is a solid place to me when I want a switch up from some of my other taco spots!

Was recommended by my husband and when I found out they sold "Carne Asada Fries" I immediately was excited to try. Love that the "carne asada" was not fajita since a lot of people will say "it's the same meat" when clearly it's not!Meat was very juicy and tender to chew, burritos are also ON POINT!Food is delicious and I'm always excited for more to try, definitely would recommend.

Mannnnn... I'm so wanting to give them a 5-star review but I came here for their menudo and that one was a disappointment. I got food to-go: large menudo (for me), and chicken quesadillas and double cheeseburger for my two kids. My boys devoured their food so I know that those items hit their marks.But the menudo... ugh! The flavor was a bit bland and I had a whole lot more corn than there are meat/tripe. I literally counted 8 measly bits of tripe in my supposedly large sized order. The rest were just corn. The place is clean and the people here are very nice though that's why it's a pain giving them this rating. I was really rooting for their menudo because of the previous rave reviews about it. I just really didn't like that I ate mostly corn in it.
