It has been a long time since we had dinner at Maria's ( before the pandemic), but it has not lost a step. The bar area has supersonic sound when it is crowded, but the dining room is the exact opposite -- quiet and very pleasant. Everything we had was excellent, especially the spinach salad (huge) and delicious cod special. And the "house" Chardonnay at $10 was much better than much more expensive ones I have had elsewhere. And a FULL glass, unlike most restaurants. And our server, Cate, was the absolute best -- a delightful, charming, friendly lady with a great sense of humor. A wonderful neighborhood restaurant for 20 years!

Best homemade food , Great service & Staff . Can sit in a cozy Dining room or at a comfy Bar area . Either way is enjoyable and relaxing . We frequent at least 2-3 times a week . Also , very reasonably priced .

We went to Maria's on a Saturday night it was an amazing experience! We had a reservation and we walked right in to our table. As for the food I 100% recommend the bruschetta and the clam linguine! Catie was so nice and very attentive as a server. It was very affordable and delicious. We will absolutely be returning!

So against my better judgement I went here again Got a special It was Linguini in olive oil with lump crab meat and tomatoes.Well it tasted pretty good but the next morning let's just say I spent a lot of time in the bathroom.!It was pretty bad I'm so thankful I didn't have work cause I would of needed a diaper Ya I said it!

A wonderful neighborhood bar and restaurant. Have enjoyed their specials as well as their regular menu food. If you go try their crab cakes they were especially delicious as was the rack of lamb. Look forward to trying everything on their menu.

Have went to this place several different times. All dishes were good but the tomato pie and the chicken parm were my favorite. The tomato pie is almost like the old consolos bakery in Nanaimo. The crust is fabulous and the tomatoes they use just tingle the taste buds. You cannot go wrong with the tomato pie try it.

Great food! I love their gnocchi and LOVE their jalapeño poppers. Salad is always fresh and love the free bread it comes with. Great service. I once ordered something off the menu that wasn't clear it had meat in it. I brought it up and they immediately cooked up a vegetarian version for me free of cost.
