I almost don't want to write this review, since I want to gatekeep this cool little lounge for myself and close friends. After dinner, my friend Erika suggested this cozy spot to keep the night going. It's tucked away next to JRK! Restaurant (and across from Government Center metrorail; if only Miami had 24 hr rail service). The bouncer at the door was friendly and professional, and I met up with friends at a corner table. Yeah for friends who have VIP! The soundtrack was a smooth mix of reggaeton, new and golden age (early 2000s) hip hop. My libation for the night was a Dusse cocktail. It inspired me to try and sing as well.I believe that earlier in the evening they do serve some bites from JRK! (Which I've enjoyed before) but as the night goes it is only drinks. A time was definitely had!

The ambiance/ vibe in this place is its strongest selling point. The music, the lighting, the energy make this spot perfect for date night. The food wasn't memorable. EXCEPT the jerk mac and cheese. That was perfect. Unique, flavorful, reasonably priced. It was the only thing I thought about days later. The wait times were long, even with a reservation. There is not a lot of seating either. I'd be back.

I brought my partner here for his bday and it did not disappoint! The restaurant was decorated nicely and had a really nice vibe with good music. The wait staff were all very friendly and attentive. We started with some drinks - I tried the red red wine, which was so aromatic and tasty. We then ordered the wings to start, which were very flavorful and came with a nice rub. If you're a spicy person, ask for some extra hot sauce - it was so good, we had to order two more sauces! We ordered the griot and curry oxtail - the oxtail was definitely the star. The curry was one of the tastiest curry oxtails I've ever had! That, paired with the jerk fried rice, was heaven! I would love to go back again to try the other menu items.

This lovely place tucked away in downtown Miami, right around the corner from Tam Tam and behind Jerk, is a unique vibe. When we walked in we were greeted by the staff who were very warm and welcoming! The place is spacious and nicely decorated with retro, modern and Caribbean feel. We started off with drinks which were delicious and refreshing. We started with the wings, which we highly recommend. The coconut rice and peas were divine, the oxtail was good but with oxtail it can be tricky because it might be more bone than actual meat soo be ware of that. The jerk chicken was good but it lacked that spicy jerk flavor, also the sauce it comes with tasted more like bbq sauce than jerk. Overall it was a great vibe as the music was popping and the vibe was just right. The food was good but overall I wish it had more of that Caribbean taste! I still would recommend this place, it's worth trying at least once, and don't skip out on the dessert, we had the mango cheese cake and it was delicious.

Mangrove is such a cute and fun spot with an unexpected vibe in downtown Miami! The atmosphere is aesthetic, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The food was mouthwateringly delicious--I'm still thinking about their salmon, and the jerk chicken was exceptional too. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. A great place to visit for a tasty and enjoyable experience!

This place is super low key good music (Reggea, Afro Beats, R&B, and Compa) The place isn't that big making it very intimate. Highly recommend to come out and catch a great vibe. One of the best spot in Miami that's not super pretentious or ghetto just vibes The waiters and waitress are super kind and knowledgeable. : Jerk chicken and fries: Pass the Duchie

The oxtail with the rice and peas was filling and some really good meat falling off the bone oxtail. This is A1 Jamaican food if you're ever in downtown Miami. The bar is a also a vibe if you get the chance.

The food is delicious!! We've had the jerk chicken, cauliflower bites and beef patty. My favorite drink is Red Red Wine which has roselle and I could have it all night. It is always such a vibe for dinner &/or their events. The customer service from Warren and Marvin (our waiter) is top tier! I truly love it here

Called 8:14 pm from our hotel to make a reservation for 9pm. They accepted our reservation. Their website listed their kitchen closed at 10pm and then dancing until 1 am.We arrive at 9 pm after paying $30 for our uber and anticipating what we were going to order. We were mouth watering excited. What do they tell us when we walked in ? They decided to close early. Thank you for letting us know after we made our reservation and paid $30 for the damn Uber. Like WTF.
