Mamarita's Mexican Restaurant

Happened to be in the area.We've never been out that way from Humble before. After helping our youngin move into his new apartment, We were hungry. It seemed mexican food was everywhere so we went to the first one that caught our eye and that was Mamaritas. Nice place, lovely Latin ambiance, superb customer service, and the food was delicious. It's not worth the drive from Humble, but it's definitely worth another visit when we're in the area.

We stopped in for dinner and had an excellent experience. We were seated right away, had chips and salsa, and drink order in within minutes. I order the Chico plate and my wife had the Spencer Special. We absolutely loved the food and will be adding this restaurant to our regular rotation. 10/10!

Food flavor was good enough but the carne guisada was soup with potatoes and veggies not a gravy like it should be. $17.00 for a small portion of meat and a bunch of veggies is No Deal!!! Plus they charged an additional $2.25 for a few extra tortillas to sop up the mess they call carne guisada and $3.00 for a cup of tea??? Very Disappointing to say the least.Wont be coming back.

Dining with a large party is often a challenge, especially in these times when staffing is an issue. Given the short notice, we didn't have high expectations for Mamarita's being able to accommodate us, but they did. Not only that, the service and food were remarkable. Food: I had queso and Enchiladas De Crema. The group shared Beef, Chicken & Shrimp Fajitas. Good portion sizes and very tasty. Price: Reasonable and on par with similar restaurants. Cleanliness: Could have been a little spiffier, but not gross. Service: Outstanding given the circumstances. Hard-working, friendly, professional servers. We were pleased and impressed.

Great food, and great members of the community! Due to the tornado, they gave out free meals (2 cheese enchiladas, rice, beans) to those affected by the disaster. It was delicious!I also ordered a beef fajita chimichanga to go. The food was excellent. They do a unique empanada-style wrap instead of a burrito like most places. Would highly recommend!

Don't recommend this place at all!! It has a bad sewer smell, the food had a bad smell itself, nothing tasted like it was fresh. I got the beef quesadillas because how can you mess that up. And the cheese was CLEAR!! They werecso greasy I swear my stomach was so upset after that. We hardly ate anything. If you want decent Tex mex drive down the street to gringos. At least you get fresh food and good service there.

Usually, this is one of our go to restaurant when I'm on that side of town. It wasn't busy at all. My little niece ordered a hamburger and fries. The fries were old and tasteless. Salt and ketchup did not help. They tasted off. How can you mess up fries? Now, onto my Caldo de Res. I've eaten it at other restaurants and I've made it myself. When I had a bowl placed in front of me on a plate with rice and white curdled looking stuff with brown splotches on the side, how in the heck was I supposed to know that was the meat. That is the most disgusting and largest amount of fat I've ever seen on a plate. Visually unappealing and threw off my taste. Soup itself was bland even after I added salt, red salsa, and pico. Rice was lukewarm at best. We had all skipped breakfast, it was 2ish, and receiving bad food was beyond disappointing. Especially with an almost empty restaurant. Today was our last visit to Mamarita's.

The food was SO good I really enjoyed EVERY BITE, and my pink lemonade was SO damn good. Also let's not even talk about the service, the service was AMAZING they were so nice. I definitely recommend coming again. ITS A MUST. ALSO MY COOCHIE WAS WET AFTER I ATE IT

Smells like sewage in the restaurant, doors, windows and floors were filthy. Rugs and mats stunk, wait staff needs a lesson and customer service. Food was not worth the price. Augustine is not an honest person. Waste of money! Go to Jimmy Changas!

the food was GIVING in all the right places I looked at my step sister and saw her eyes rolling back because how good it was the service was the best service I've had in awhile they were so nice MUST go AGAIN
